  1. What I meant is, no side-mounted boosters at all.
  2. Yeah I tried. I edited the pod's file to add fuel to the pod, instead of adding an external fuel tank.
  3. clever lol. But anyways I need atleast one image of it at launch please.
  4. Longest distance with no boosters - Challenge Description: Let's defy the saying "Moar boosters!!!!". You must make the biggest/longest distance rocket, and it must be able to lift off the ground with no boosters (Side-mounted). Required mods: FAR Rules: No engine or fuel tank mods, any mods that'll give you an advantage that most people don't have. There is an exception for smaller mods like heat-shields for deadly re-entry. At-least one picture of the craft at launch. Submission Craft name: Craft link(Optional): Images of craft w/ proof of longest distance (Screenshots of you flying it, or a screenshot of DV, etc.): Other craft stats: Winning Winners are determined by vote or compliments in thread replies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Craft name: Expedition-I Craft link(Optional): N/A Images of craft w/ proof of longest distance (Screenshots of you flying it, or a screenshot of DV, etc.): Other craft stats: This rocket can launch into orbit, go to duna and get in orbit, land on duna(kerbal is required to re-pack parachute), get back in orbit around duna, go back to kerbin and re-enter for landing.
  5. I use kerbal alarm clock, then launch as soon as my transfer window has opened.
  6. Bye spaceport I love you. I hope someone hacks you and turns you around. But it doesn't seem lile it.. fairwell!
  7. I'm just showing off my rocket I made/used to go to duna, land, collect science and return to kerbin. I flew it, mission was success with no problems. I do use FAR and DRE btw. And also this used stock parts only. You can see more screen shots of the entire mission here .
  8. Can you show me the mods you have installed? I used to have this problem.
  9. It's called a sky-crane. With stock, the reason it is difficult is because of an attachment part. As people stated above, with KAS you can make one. But with stock, your best bet are docking ports. I used my skycrane to drop things off on minmus and pick things up to move them around. I also made a land-crane which I don't use.
  10. I can't see the other nodes so I can't tell. But whatever benefits you science-wise.
  11. I hope you're kidding. Engines are already underpowered. Give us stronger engines, we know how to use thrust limiter.
  12. I don't use the sphere tanks but the cargo bay is awesome. Thanks.
  13. I never tried this but I thought of an easier way. How about using the anchor in KAS to drop it on the asteroid and pull it whereever you want it to go? Then you dont really need to think about aligning with the CoM and stuff.
  14. Because most people like spaceplanes to be SSTOs. And as you said, a decoupler.
  15. Keyboard. Never even thought about a joystick.
  16. Did you modify the right value? Science is "sci = ", not anything else. Also, replace your persistent.sfs file with your quicksave.sfs and everything should be fine.
  17. It doesn't really matter where you land next time, you'll most likely still need the same Dv in order to get back in orbit and go back to kerbin. If you takeoff on the opposite side, you'll just have to get into orbit and wait until you come around to the right side.
