  1. These look extremely pixleated for me at 3840 x 2160.
  2. It had to be done.. For science.. The idea was to send out 4 probes, each with ion drives. Not to mention a Kerbal strapped on top of them. Opened the solar panels in orbit and they violently collided with each other, sending the pods flying out into space and debris everywhere.. Think I should of checked that before I launched.. Oops.. This pic is take 2, with the small solar panels that don't open. Worked out pretty decent More goodies here if you like pics: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197989020946/screenshots/?appid=220200&sort=newestfirst&browsefilter=myfiles&view=imagewall
  3. Multiplayer! Oh and better graphics options, without the need for mods.
  4. Always remember two things when building.. Keep weight distribution as even as possible. ( A heavy top or bottom may cause you to flip ) Center of mass should be in front of center of lift. GL..
  5. EDITED: I just did this for myself. For when I have to reinstall or something.. Didn't know it would be some big undertaking.. NVM..lol
  6. Not sure about the audio, it seems buggy in this game a bit. lol.. I like a challenge. Sure I could build a simple stage rocket or drop some turbines on a small ship. I just like making crazy stuff.. Things that make you have to do everything right, or fail miserably and magnificently..lol.. I'll work on sizing them down a bit. Making shorter clips. The video is in 12 clips, in a playback list. You can selectively choose which to watch if you'd like. Here is a before and after of a ship I am working on now. Make it into orbit as is but still working on it's stability. I call the first phase "The Bloomin Onion", Second phase I just call "Tank". It's whole purpose is to transport heavy fuel tanks into orbit, to be used as refueling stations. Bloomin Onion: Growing pains: Tank: (it's the Bloomin Onion, without all the fat.)
  7. For people who like to watch this kind of stuff. For people who don't need to ask why..
  8. Yep. Max quality, in the paid for version. Also it's @ 50 FPS, not the standard 30 most people use, so it's smooth like silk on playback. If you had moved the files to movie maker "Like most people do" then uploaded them. You'd end up with files in the 100's of megabytes size. I really hope someone doesn't come in here talking about how it's not max settings. I actually edit HD video for a living and there is a huge difference between what I did here and what most people upload.
  9. The video footage is 100% raw, it has not been even the slightest bit compressed. This is as good as it gets for video footage and it's @ 50 FPS, not the 30 most people use. Just like you were playing the game yourself. Ran on 2x GTX 680 in sli @ absolute maximum settings. It's a new ship I made, I lovingly call Gundam, with it's piggybacking ship. Both ships are fully capable of take off and landing. Gundam reaches orbit easily with it's piggybacker ship, that can be jettisoned and flown. This is take off and landing of both ships. With download links to the ships if you want them. Enjoy. I know I did.

This shows the transition of both ships, from inception, to orbit and separation. Then back to the launch pad. Kind of a day in the life of a Kerbonaut. With download links to the ships if you want them. Enjoy. I know I did.
  11. Lol tell that to steam.. I just let it go where the installer defaulted too. They should know better. True though, I'll just drop it into the C root and enable DEP again. I have never liked things like DEP or other "helpful" tools windows implements. In the past they have generally caused more problems than solved. Guess I need to get use to this one. So far DEP has caused me problems with several applications though, like motioninjoy before it got digitally signed. Thanks again for the help.
  12. Ok you're gonna <3 this.. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24536-Self-help-for-crashes-look-here-first-if-KSP-crashes Or read below: Windows Data Execution Prevention (DEP) Another big cause of crashes is Data Execution Prevention interfering with KSP. Symptoms include the game not saving settings and/or not writing anything to it's output_log.txt file located in the \KSP_Data\ folder. The issue is caused because KSP is not an installed program but can fortunatly be remedied fairly easily and fixing it should thus always be attempted before posting a support request. It can be solved in two ways: Copy (not move) your KSP installation away from the C:\Program Files\, C:\Windows and C:\Users folders, this includes places such as My Documents and your desktop. Copy the KSP folder, then paste it to C:\ or a folder you create there directly, such as C:\KSP or C:\Games. You can then create a shortcut by rightclicking KSP.exe and placing that shortcut on your desktop for easy access. This is the reccommended solution. Change the DEP settings to ignore KSP.exe, click this link for more information. Note that this may make you lose your savegames. You can take a look in this thread to see where they are located so you can recover them. Folder permissions You'll want to make sure that the KSP folder can be written to: rightclick the KSP folder (by default KSP_win) and click properties. Uncheck the 'read only' checkbox and hit apply. A small window may pop up asking you to apply these settings to just the folder or all subfolders and -files. Check the latter and press ok. I hate you windowwaarrwwwrrsss!!!! After days of going out of my mind, trying to figure out why not only the cfg settings, but in game settings like controller options, would not save. Finally stumbled onto the FAQ. You need to disable DEP but in Win 7 x64, you cannot disable DEP for this program, it will not allow it. So you need to either copy the entire game directory to the C:/ Drive.. Then create a shortcut from that new destinations EXE and put it on your desktop. Oooor you can disable DEP entirely, which I don't mind because I have good antivirus. Don't mess with this if you don't understand it. I am not at fault if anyone messes something up, turning off their DEP but this is how you do it, if you need to. 1. Type cmd in the start search menu, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator. 2. Once the command prompt is open, disable DEP by entering the following command line. bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff 3. To Enable again: bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOn Cheers.
  13. Yea, the game will not load the new changes. I have modded, scripted and done 3D animation. Usually this kind of stuff is a no brainer for me.. I even deleted the old ship, using the old numbers and put a new ship in. This is after totally reloading the game.. Same thing.. Set my colors to: Color = 0.1, 0.1, 0.1 Nothing changed. Game still has the old settings in it, per the debug menu. Had this problem before with this game. It wouldn't save the option to "use staging controls for docking" So I had to manually do it in the cfg. Not like I'm using some crappy system here that is freaking out.. i7 with sli gtx 680. Any idea why the game will not load, the new settings I wrote into the cfg? SIDE NOTE: Also I really like this mod but there is one thing stopping me from using it as I would like to. All of the lights shine right through everything. Any plans to fix that? I hope so. This is really a mod I think is like a vanilla standard. If you could add tiny LED lights, like the one for the small battery pack, that would be awesome as well. You know, just that tiny, green light, on the battery pack, all by it's self, with variants in red, blue and white.. You'd be my hero. Great work and I hope the degree in Engineering is going well. I work in that field myself, so I know how it can get.. Good luck.
  14. Thanks for letting me know how to access the debug menu. I can see now that the game is not loading the new settings I put into the cfg file. It retains the original settings and will not save what I change them too.. odd.. I changed the cfg, then I reload in game from the spaceport and the cfg still remains with the old numbers as far as the game is concerned. In the cfg file it shows I changed the numbers still. But the game is like holding onto some old numbers for some reason.
  15. I shut down and reboot the game entirely, after every change. Sounds like there is an easier method. XD Yea, so me setting some of them to 0.01 could of made it not work I guess. 0.01 to 3.. Got it.. Ty. ^^ I'll try that.
  16. Color = 1.00, 0.14, 0.07 Hmm.. I changed all of those to 0.1 and nothing happened though. XD. If I take the 1.00 down to a 0.5, I clearly can't take the 0.14 and 0.07 down .5. There isn't .5 in them to take away. So I am a bit confused sry. Could you please give me an example of what the lowest intensity of this light would be while retaining the red color, so I can have an idea? Thank you. I think maybe I set them all to 0.01 and it was like "wtf do you think you're doing Daaavvee"..lol..
  17. I'm trying to edit the light intensity. I'm a more is less kinda guy and they get pretty intense up close to a vehicle. I tried editing the config: Red beacon light: Color = 1.00, 0.14, 0.07 How would I adjust this, to make it a very dim, red light? I tried changing them all to like 0.1 and saw no difference in anything. XD Great job btw. Thank you. PS: Our Kerbal Smileys, seriously need to learn how to smile..lol..
