  1. Well, Elysium just released this video on the developer. Take what you will from that.
  2. Can't wait for multiplayer. (In space engineers, not KSP )
  3. Always use an ion engine if you want to experience a quick burn, especially if you want to get from Eve surface to low orbit. Use nosecones, the most useful and functional part. Build fairings around your high part count payloads, preferably out of something small. The parts you cannot see aren't calculated into physics, but ar simply attached to the craft. Makes launches much easier and boosts FPS. Use the radial engines (the white ones) when you want to go to Moho or Eeloo; low ISP=high efficiency. Aerospikes are great for serial-staged upper stages, aerobraking is so efficient. Put a Mainsail directly under a Mainsail and light only the top one. You can thank me later. Engine fairings improve structural integrity, so always keep a part under your engine as it is firing. Jets do not need fuel! They run on electriccharge instead. Do not be fooled by the message that says, "LiquidFuel deprived." Jool is the easiest planet to land on; you can use parachutes. Don't go for the Mun or Minmus, they're useless. EVAd Kerbals can transmit data, only you have to click "Discard Data." The "Discard" really means discard INTO YOUR SAT NETWORK. The data goes back to KSC and doesn't degrade over time! It's great for Science farming. Kerbals' helmets may be made out of the strongest substance known to Kerbin, but their boots are even stronger. Kraken material, almost. The colossal shiny patch of grass is NOT your patron saint. Yes, there is a Kraken statue on Bop, but there is a more easily reached copy of that structure! It resides at the KSC that is on the Mun (looks just like Kerbin's second KSC). There is a Dyson sphere around the Sun, you need to achieve solar escape with a Hitchhiker and a non-functioning Mainsail on your craft, and then travel for 10h in any direction (except back to the SoI). Congrats, infinite photovoltaic energy for your entire Space Program! Hope this helped.
  4. I believe it centers around the craft, actually. It appears to be centered to the side of the craft due to the craft not being in the center of the screen; the camera is centered around a point on the right of the screen so the parts menu does not block your view. I really wish there were a setting to center the camera to the screen, though because I tend to find this disorienting and annoying.
  5. Are you building a seaplane? You may want to use fuselages instead of tanks for the pontoons.
  6. So... More like a DC-3 built in 1970. I really would like to see a lunar mission in that time.
  7. This isn't an aesthetic suggestion, but I've found a solution to the Mystery goo problem due to which you must attach two at a time. Since the radial parachute has the same mass and the COM is similar on the parts [citation needed], I find it is a good substitute for the extra goo pod. Furthermore, it potentially allows or makes easier recovery of your service modules! This is, again, not aesthetic and only really useful in career mode, but hey, it's useful. No pics yet as I am still too lazy to get an imgur account.
  8. Pfft. We all know its true name is the "Eagle."
  9. Granted, but you lose your power of knowledge after a day, if it doesn't kill you first. I wish for a potato-powered rocket.
  10. Tweakables > Currency > Kerbolar System expansion > Resources > Aerodynamics. In that order of priority, for me at least.
  11. This is good news. How bad is the connection issue?
  12. Oh carp, another thousand planets were detonated!
  13. Perhaps no biomes on: Jool, Tylo, Gilly, Bop, Dres, Ike, Eeloo, and Pol. Suggestions: Moho- Surface, Mountain, Mohole Eve- Surface, Mountain, Ocean Minmus- Flats, Mountain Duna- Surface, Ice cap Laythe- Surface, Ocean Vall- Surface, Mountain
  14. A dyson sphere of satellites would be possible but very time consuming, a single docked structure would be impossible due to the physics loading. That is, unless your orbit is perfectly circular. The closest I've seen on this forum was 2m difference which is too much, especially given timewarp's weird habit of messing up orbits.
  15. Oh c**p! another thousand sloths are detonated!
  16. Infinigliders! Though just one control surface doesn't seem like enough for that speed... Welp, we have a new FTL egg on our hands!
  17. Those parts are from pre-0.18 versions of the game, like the pod.
  18. O_O That's tiny! You might even say it's pico. I had a thought: Since you've built a Saturn V, why not give Gemini and Mercury a shot? I imagine the Gemini spacecraft could be a challenge. (And Vostok/Vokshod/Soyuz TM/TMA)
  19. Two questions: 1. Are you timewarping while within the atmosphere? High physwarp will occasionally tear off your chute casings. 2. Just how much are you putting under that one parachute? I suggest a simple command pod on a trashcan design (trashcan=RT-10 Solid Fuel Rocket). It shouldn't take your parachute off. Hope this helps! And don't give up, it's a marvelously fun game once you get past those first few baby steps.
  20. No no no no no no no no no! No no no no no no no no! No no no no no no no no no! --I'm fine. I'M FINE! Rejoice! What does the Kerman say?
  21. Oh noes! A seventh Nuke is unsanitary?
  22. Oh noes! Another boom is unsanitary?
