  1. I prob might make a video of it. Hey, you want to join SSI?
  2. Wow. Levelord, can we convince you to join SSI?
  3. How to play KSP? In general: turn frustration with a clipped landing leg blowing your prototype up, into a space drive that uses that force to propel itself. Explosion. Testing. Exploitation.
  4. You know you play too much KSP when you turn frustration with a clipped landing leg blowing your prototype up, into a space drive that uses that force to propel itself. Explosion. Testing. Exploitation.
  5. You should see the failures. Heh. Someone once wrote on these forums that they wanted Squad to incorporate random failures. Well, look no further. The K-Drive is such an engine.
  6. Here is the SSI Positron K-Drive powered shuttlecraft.
  7. SSI has posted a practical mini K-Drive in the Tyrene rover builders thread.
  8. It should be obvious by now that several ppl and companies are racing to be the first to post something practical. Good luck, and dont forget to share your discoveries.
  9. Well... voters can rest assured, we have a K-Drive shuttlecraft... in practice.
  10. The all-new Positron, now the KX-2 (Type-1Q Shuttlecraft). Based on the Mini K-Drive Mk. II engine above, here is the Craft File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wgp8i51orramngs/SSI%20Positron%20KX-2%20%28Type-1Q%20Shuttlecraft%29.craft Not yet ready for publication yet, but the craft file is in Tyrene's thread, as well as the SSI Dropbox. Based on the SSI Mini K-Drive Mk. II engine. The fuel and rockomax is only for landing on airless bodies if needed. But it's prob not. Also has way more rcs than it needs, but it's all for the cool-factor.
  11. Absolutely. That's why SSI signed on as a partner. Feel free to co-publish any craft file we post.
  12. Nope. Not powered by clipping. At least not initially. SSI has only miniaturized the technology (aka clipped it to reduce its footprint) but the principle works without clipping. See Tyrene Technologies in rocket builders forum for more info.
  13. No, its not powered by infiniglide. It's powered by the force that causes ships to explode. Discovered by ComradeJenkins and miniaturized by Shuttlecraft Systems Inc. Krackens-in-a-bottle.
  14. No, its not powered by infiniglide. The engine is clipped into a standard fuselage for demonstration purposes here, but the K-Drive works fine without clipping. It's powered by the force that causes ships to explode. Discovered by ComradeJenkins and miniaturized by Shuttlecraft Systems Inc. Krackens-in-a-bottle. If you must know, this ship is powered by the simple force of landing legs pressing against parts. Without exploding. I wonder if this will lead to calls for the devs to keep the Kracken bug in the released game? Heh. For those that never visit Spacecraft Exchange... well, maybe you should today.
  15. Engine and Positron craft file are posted at Tyrene, and in the SSI Dropbox. Have at it! Its not commercial yet since they are still in development.
  16. Untested. However... we have discovered that the various k-forces we're manipulating somehow they are responsible for separating parallel universes, and if abused, can make collisions between universes possible, as evidenced by the 100x more SAS modules viewable in the explosion than we started out with. Optimistically, Inigma Kerman believes SSI has managed to stumble upon replicator technology...
  17. Thanks to ComradeJenkins, manager of Tyrene Technologies, SSI has paired up with them to bring you the latest sneak peek into what's going on around SSI HQ. The SSI Positron KX-2 (Type-1Q Shuttlecraft) in development: The KX-2: The KX-1 We hope to bring you the second Kracken-powered spaceship to the consumer market after Rune...in SSI style of course.
  18. Thanks! I look forward to reading it. Also do you use KerbCam? I've been thinking about trying it out. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24757 I have used HullCam VDS, but not in a video yet.
  19. Cupcake, I am fascinated by how you achieve your camera angles. Care to share your secrets? I am curious as to how you do your launch camera angle where the craft flies up and you stay on the ground. How do you also do the off-center angles? Also, I see you use mechjeb. I've never used it, but it looks like you are able to autopilot one vessel while working another or EVA, which looks really cool. Care to share your camera secrets? Perhaps such would make for an awesome thread somewhere.
  20. I tested it. It works well! Now on to miniaturize the tech, and discover some new aspects of it...
  21. Now that would be awesome! I can see use for it as an island hopper in our save file. I'll download and check it out. Feel free to give it a name or just call it SSI Island Hopper and upload it to the dropbox if your satisfied with your design!
  22. SSI is already on it. ...you know this kind of thread could lead to arguments in favor of keeping kracken-force (k-force?) in the released game...
