  1. That would make sense if the planet had the same mass
  2. Hi Nathan, you've probably seen the posts over in the Realism Overhaul thread, but I thought I'd post here anyway. Firstly a quick thanks for making so many awesome mods which have made my KSP experience so much better, I honestly don't know how you find the time. If I use this mod with Realism Overhaul + only the recommended mods none of my parts show up in the VAB, I've been informed that this is due to many of the names of the fuels changing and breaking stuff. I know I don't have to install this mod at all but I absolutely love the engine configs, so I'm going to look to see if I can figure out how to get them working again. *Link to output log*
  3. Thanks for answering the question. Soviet engines does require the KAS plugin, read the OP on its release thread.
  4. Fair enough, I'm not a huge forum user. I've got an output log with nothing but supported mods, RftS and the KAS plugin (which, although the full mod is not supported, was required for the Soviet Engines mod). Should I post it to the RftS thread? If necessary I can upload another output log without the KAS plugin and Soviet Engines. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17909925/output_log.txt
  5. Dude, chill, I didn't expect you to go trawling through my log to find / fix a problem that could be of my own making. It did also rear its head when I only had the required & recommended mods installed, so my suspicions were that it was a RftS problem. I wouldn't use it at all but I find the engine configs to be a lot nicer. The reason I posted here was this is a related thread which is significantly busier than the RftS one, I was hoping another user might have experienced something similar and have a solution, if not, hopefully Nathan would see it and when he gets around to updating RtfS know that it's occurring (for me at least).
  6. Installed and re-installed as per the OP, but I'm still finding that whenever I try to use the RFTS engine configs, all of the parts disappear from the VAB. Has anyone else found this? I do have a few unsupported mods installed, but not even KW or NovaPunch engines are visible. Log file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17909925/output_log.txt
  7. Hmm, well I deleted the old RPL file and installed the new one. I'll try installing again and if still nothing I'll wait until the RO/RSS releases are done. Probably shouldn't be playing in work anyway
  8. Hi MN, thanks for the mod + hotfix (I've been barely touching KSP for the last few months and this has fired my enthusiasm). Found a minor bug where the Kerbin Low Space radiation experiment (can't remember the name of the first probe core ) requires 750 units of data but the probe core can only hold 500. I can't even figure out where this is defined so I can change it myself
  9. Since the update my rockets seem to be constructed from blancmange, could someone please tell me how to edit the attachment node sizes in the cgf file?
  10. Nathan, either reorientFinalAngle isn't working with this release, or my scripting sk1llz are performing to their usual standard
  11. I don't seem to have reorientFinalAngle in my .cfg, can I just add it?
  12. Did a full uninstall of KSP, everything seems to be fine now, must have screwed up the mod installs somehow. Now I'm trying to position KSC on Ascension Island, I've got the Lat / Long right, but how do I adjust the rotation of it? (the runway is on a heading of roughly 150) and get the space centre to sit at the correct height above the ground? Cheers
  13. Hi guys, I'm having a few issues, which despite careful combing of my GameData folder I can't seem to fix. I'm hoping others gave experienced similar issues and can point me in the right direction: 1. If I ever revert a flight to launch, the surface of the planet is travelling at it's angular velocity through a seemingly stationary atmosphere. 2. Whenever I try to resume a flight (either from the tracking station or the map) the entire vessel has vanished bar one small stretchy tank. I know I am running very close to the RAM limit, but I've been aggressively purging unnecessary parts and using texture reduction packs. Cheers
  14. @Curious epic, I can't give you any advice on those but if I were you I'd just use the procedural fairings mod. I've never had any problems with it and they automatically resize for any payload
  15. All the best mate, I can assure you that when you release this you will make many people very happy
  16. Right, that's it! It's pitchfork time. We were promised a release this weekend In reality I would like to thank Nathan and Medieval (and all other contributors) for all the time they spend both developing these awesome mods and answering all of our (sometimes repetitive) questions. You guys rock
  17. Just a quick question, I seem to be missing most of the fuels required for use with the RftS engine config pack. Screenshot of action groups fuel list: Screenshot of GameData folder (for list of installed mods) Cheers
  18. Is there any way to re-set the window position in the VAB? I've accidentally moved it off screen and the mod is now next to useless
  19. Hi, This is my first attempt at part modding in KSP beyond making empty tanks. I want to alter the fairings found in the KW rocketry pack, so that as well as being able to use the nosecone to top the fairing, I can also use a fairing base then continue with the rocket like this: So far I've added a new part which uses all of the data for the original fairing wall with a modified part file which changes the attachment node for the wall part to be attached to the upper fairing base. Here is a screenshot of the original part file: And here is the new part file: Here is an in-game side by side comparison of the two parts: The attachment points are in the right place, after a little trial and error. I know it's a rather crude job and the parts will clip, but it's the best I can do without re-texturing. The problem I am having is that the decoupling node which I have added is not working properly as it only removes the bottom wall and not the top one. Does anyone know how to make this work? Cheers
