  1. Just downloaded and setting up a base on the mun with 23.5. This is going to be awesome. Problem was that i use RT2. And almost all are unmanned, so i first had to setup a satnet ... took a few hours...
  2. It was a huge platform able to go to Mün. Remember it had 2 small flying probes and some extra rockets that could be sent up to refill the RCS and stuff for the 2 probes. I know this aint much to explain... But i have completley forgot the name of it and would like to find it again. Also .24 Awesomeness incoming.

  5. Pfff.. Just tell them to hire MechJeb. It does all sims over and over and over with 99.9% accuracy. ;D
  6. 1) I'm trying to do basic things, like make it to the polar ice cap. However, I can't seem to get there (I keep falling short). Sub-questions: Staging is your friend here, use at most 2-3 fueltanks at a time, when they are empty you ditch them and ignite next engine-set. a) It seems that the new fuel tanks have the same mass/fuel ratio (duh) for bigger sizes. What's the advantage to upgrading? Upgrading is that engines are also weight. Dead weight. Not beeing used. You always have to consider their power to the output the give. A little thing to watch is the ISP at sealevel (power near ground) and ISP in vacuum. ( Power in space ) to see whats more fitting for your purpose. How do I figure out the ideal mass amount for my spacecraft? Making a huge stack of boom doesn't seem to get me farther. Nothing is ideal unless you have a purpose. There is a thing called Delta-V. Google it for a more detailed explanation or youtube it. 2) Is it possible to do EVA reports when in the upper atmosphere? How do I prevent my command module from just floating away from my Kerbal? Press R button to activate the kerbals jetpack. Controls is: WSAD for forwards, backwards, left and right. You "steer" with holding Right mouse button like a FPSgame. SHIFT make you fly upwards, and Control downwards. It takes a little time to getting used to so be sure to quicksave with F5 (Hold F9 to reload) And have multiple tried. Take your good time for this. 3) Any other suggestions for getting science (I'm trying to just go through all the biomes and collect data)? My suggestion here is also with all the explainations... Slow down. Look around and learn the game. If i could rewind my memory i would empty it just to have the awesome experience of re-learning it allover again. It's IMHO the most fun part of the game. Hope this was atleast a bit helpful.

  8. There is addon called Kerbal Engineer Redux. There you can change TWR displays to other planets and moons.
  9. Oldschool ! Also very fun was The Incredible Machine, Slipstream 5000, Syndicate, Sim Tower, Ms Flight Simulator, (Later on) Quake, Duke3d, Xcom Series. Civ1.
  10. Read install instructions properly. You need 3 files from KSP-game folder.
  11. I use 3x 27" for gaming. Not KSP thou. Just other flightsims and stuff. Tried playing KSP in 7060x1080 or something. Was awesome but... odd.
  12. I prefer them to be decoupled one of each at a time so they can drive out independantly. ive scrapped the KAS for now and using dockingports on the bottom. Also made 2 modular rovers as mobile fueltanks. (FL 800 and one RockoM x32) they are still very prototype, ive got lifters for the main drillrig for now. Pics will come later on as im in the middle of fueldesigning and had to check forums for one thing. Will provide pictures later on.
  13. Modified drillingdrones to travel somewhat if you ain't that good of a landerperson. (i.e dont want to get to close due to lag etc) Also with a seat for those pipingjobs !
  14. The 4 miners are delivered with a skycrane operated by 1 crew. all 4 miners have drills and small kethanestorage. The plan is to transfer the fuel/oxi as its converted as less space is needed for storage. KAS is also in with 2 boxes on each miner, containing 4 pylons to put on ground (used to connect several things, see KAS-mod page on forums) and 8x Connectors that can be placed on pylons or shipparts. At the moment only the skycrane can provide electricity for a even conversion to fuel but im thinking of removing 2 miners and add 2 Aux Powerunits. The long fueltank in the back is a left stage for the rover-delivery rocket (thats now back on kerbin ... althou forgot chutes on it so it landed pretty hard.. . ahem.. ) And the last one in the middle, biggest is a way to store fuel and a small ammount of kethane during night operations (due to the fact my constructions need electricity from solar panels)
  15. A big welcome to you. Money WELL spent, such a small ammount for such LONGLASTING play(replay?)ability. Don't be afraid to ask anything on the forums. Also youtube got great tutorials.

  17. There was a video around 30 minutes long along with the craftfiles, searched both google and here on the forums without any results. Does anyone happend to have the thread bookmarked or know where it was posted? Thanks.
  18. I run it on 3 monitors (27") with no problems at all. Using Nvidia Surround. Althou its stretched out on all 3. So no induvidual stuff on any of them.
  19. Also now, just noticed, how are you gonna land it? "crash" down the rocket on the surface?
  20. Post the craft file and ill have a look when i get home. Also, any addons u have used exept kethane? Will be home in a hour or so.
