  1. Love all the people posting before reading whole thread <3 Good move op, this is lovely peace of software that just keeps giving, best investment in fun ever. GL with Mun landing game crash, I haven't had game crash this year (and hours of gametime just keep pliling up).
  2. Isn't X (instant cut of throttle) same as shutting down engine?
  3. Does seat count as command module? It is in that tab, but does it count?
  4. There will be absolutely no noticeable difference for you (or most people, including me). Turning 64-bits will give more space for mods, that is it.
  5. You might be surprised by some facts. wiki link
  6. You are either trolling or being stupid. I have decided that I'll be nice today so I'll say the former. Feel free to prove me wrong
  7. The old one The new one New one has awesome deployment animation
  8. oh the irony The lack of science in sandbox is the feature that doesn't harm you in any way. The point that I mind is that you present it like it is something really really bad and gamebreaking. Personally, I don't really care, you could have your flavored text and science points, but it is completely irrelevant and meaningless issue.
  9. There, Psycix, there is your perfect solution. You already have your sandbox with points. Go find something else to cry about.
  10. It was plainly mentioned that the parts to be unlocked are old parts with addition of few science parts. I have no idea how you managed to get it wrong. You probably read what you wanted to read, not what was written
  11. Bravo for not reading. That is the way to do it. You completely missed the whole point of the thread. If you can select button "Career" when you start a game then it is a career mode. It actually has progress so it is a career even if it is not the final iteration of it.
  12. Even though my personal opinion is that it might be better idea to display proper science results in sandbox, I disagree with you. This is not a limiting game mechanic. It does not limit you in any way. It just displays different text and does not add numbers that you can't do anything with anyway. So it is more cosmetics than an real issue. I can understand the line of thinking that made them make this call: "This thing does nothing in sandbox, replace it with generic text".
  13. It is not like only aerodinamical stuff can be launched, but it is cheaper/easier/more practical to do so.
  14. We have problems finding planet sized stuff so it is a big deal that we have found something "only" that big.
  15. No, you do not. If it was a military project with detailed specification, yes, but this is not case. Premature optimization is a waste of time. Optimization of some parts of code may be complete waste of time anyway. If they are working well enough, there is no reason to make it perfect. On project like this there is so much new stuff that you are experimenting with and have vague ideas how things might work so even if you think you are optimizing something, you might be wrong. The optimal solution is to build the damn thing so it actually works then you identify the bottlenecks and optimize them until it is good enough. Perfect game is a myth, you could optimize forever. And then they release new framework/drivers/whatever and you are not "perfect" again..
  16. And what about Half Life 3?
  17. Not related to topic, but this is more convinient than maps http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/
  18. Buy it, it won't be finished in 4 years anyway
  19. Dozen different names for same thing? Brilliant. Not. Go away.
  20. Now that is taking it to the next level
  21. Try going to higher orbit, change direction there and move back to low. It should use less fuel, if I'm not mistaken.
