  1. Thats a real shame. I believe his mod was the first i ever downloaded. Come back stupid_chris!!!!! we heart you. This forum is a sea of reason and logic (compared to other interweb forums) - Theres no point giving modders a hard time, they do this for free.
  2. I keep trying it with each new update, but there always just seems like there is something missing, some little thing to tie it all together to make it a true experience. Now im not saying career is bad at all, but for me personally it doesn't really grab me as much as i would like. Im sure when 1.0 comes around that will be me though.
  3. Usually 1 in 5 designs actually get used in a serious attempt. 1 in 5 of those attempts succeed in a sort of successful way. 50-60% of my enjoyment from this game is just building the ships. Sometimes i can have 3 or 4 game sessions without ever leaving kerbin, maybe achieve orbit to see if it works and then move on to another design that will never be used.
  4. Sperlunking, caves and other interesting planetary features. So i actually have to make a rover and drive to a cave should i (i will) land off target.
  5. once zoomed in via mouse wheel you can also click and hold mouse 3 for an extra bit of zoom. I love doing this with the distant enhancements mod.
  6. Or parts of the tech tree could be locked until obtaining specific science from a planet/moon before you can advance on to the next one further out. or something similar.
  7. Fascinating. I always knew it was a feat but having it broken down like that was very interesting. Because of KSP i actually understood most of it pretty well too. Still blows my mind when i think of those guys flying for the first time to another body. Would've felt surreal in a way i imagine.
  8. I can hear him, his english is fine and easily understood. Maybe you are just hard of hearing?
  9. i wonder what feature this could be laying the foundation for?
  10. I typically have intense bursts of play - usually for 1- 3 months, then break for the same time. Rinse, wash, repeat.
  11. There is another such thing going on at the moment - looks interesting! https://www.spaceshipearthgrants.com/mission
  12. pretty sure this has been discussed a number of times now - the answer is still ?
  13. I learnt from day one and have conducted all my missions manually. If the game took on more of a tycoon type feel, i would use MJ and KAC so i can focus on the bigger picture. I think its good if people learn the basics first, then hand over to MJ as others have suggested. But still, its a game, people can play it however they want.
  14. perhaps the major rework is for a Unity 5 upgrade? the Rust dev has stated they are moving to Unity 5 in the next few weeks, so it must now be available for use.... /speculation
  15. this is why im all for caves/sperlunky type exploring on the planets. Or lava tubes with skylights.
  16. INb4 lock - I think resources could be hugely enjoyable, and add to the game. Science at the moment is.... well it is what it is. But i can't say the science mechanic has me chomping at the bit to play KSP at the moment. In fact i've gone BACK to sandbox play just to avoid the science mechanic. I know some really enjoy it, and that's cool, but damn its boring.
  17. build an outpost on every planet? Build a HUGE habit between Kerbin and Duna's orbit?
  18. Exactly - i found i tended to focus on a single mission, and it became tedious babysitting simple satellite or probe missions waiting for a SOI change which i would nearly ALWAYS miss or time accel through. KAC allows multiple missions without the stress.
  19. ^ i could not agree more. Same with Kerbal Alarm Clock
