  2. I use HeatWarning and it seems to disable the eye-gouging glow you're talking about and also replaces the stock temperature gauges with something that's arguably better. EDIT: Why is the thread's rating one star? Guys, this isn't reddit, don't give something a bad rating just because you disagree with it. Be honest, the heat glow they added is incredibly rushed and an eyesore.

  5. Nope. The stock game is just as unstable or even less stable than adding mods. Their memory usage just exacerbate the stock memory leaks, general instability, and the thousands of lines of uncommented legacy code generating hundreds of suppressed exceptions a second. I've actually had more game-breaking problems (not crashes) in the stock game than with mods.

  7. I agree that the concept is pretty funny, but they way they pulled it off was terrible. They could've gone with the classic american red barn design, but they did this instead: Also, what the hell? A green door??? Oh, and concerning the post I linked to above, I found bac9's comment here, and it's obvious that Squad didn't listen to him at all when they made the tier one and tier two buildings, especially the dirt runway and crawlerway: Look at that transition between the dirt and the grass... God, that crawlerway is a terrible model.

  11. Imgur finally stopped acting up on me and I got to upload the screenshots. It was pretty fun! (link to the album) Now I wanna try to go to Duna in stock . I've only ever done that once in stock.
  12. But...stock? Can we at least have FAR and all the mods that the stock game looked at and ignored for the sake of their target age range or because they're "out of scope"? Doing this challenge anyway. I actually can't remember the last time I went to the Mun without mods. EDIT: Just did it and I'm trying to upload my screenshots but Imgur hates me . It was actually kinda fun though.
  13. Thanks so much for this mod! It even hides the "Quicksaving..." and "Autosaving..." messages too! I just have one request, but I don't know if it's possible or not. Could you possibly make the green glow that comes up when you hover over parts also hide on F2? Thanks in advance!
  14. It's better than the one I got today. I blindly accepted a contract to rescue a kerbal because it rewarded 130,000 funds, and then realized that it was for a kerbal in orbit around the sun. So I built a huge rocket for 50k that had 8 km/s of delta-v (I haven't unlocked nuclear or ion engines yet) and launched it into orbit and set a maneuver node to rendezvous with the kerbal. While fine-tuning my closest approach, something felt off, but I didn't know what it was. Well, eventually I found out what was "off" when I hovered over my ascending node and felt a horrible moment of realization when it said "179 degrees"...the darn kerbal was in a retrograde orbit. You know, it'd be really nice if the game actually told you the Kerbal's orbit before you accepted the contract. Just for fun, I made a maneuver node just to see how much delta v it would take. This was the result: 25 km/s, just to match velocity...
  15. This happens to me whenever I enter or leave fullscreen mode, but it's fixed by going on EVA and boarding again. Try doing that.
  16. There's this beautiful lens flare (which I use) in the Universe Replacer thread, and the way you install it (or any lens flare) is in this post. Note that the lens flare is now in the sharedassets9.assets file, not sharedassets10.assets.
