I also use Norton (I'm forced to as I use a shared computer and the owner of it insists that Norton is indeed the best antivirus and we should always stick to it) and ran into this issue repeatedly. The only way I know to fix it is to go to Norton's settings, click antivirus, go to the scans and risks tab, click the configure button next to "Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection", and add your GameData folder to the exclusions list. This is apparently a common bug with Norton and the only way to fix it is to restart your computer.

Try changing emission = 0.05 0.0 to emission = 0.1 0.0 and changing emission = 0.2 0.5 to something like emission = 0.3 0.5 Launch smoke that is now incredibly laggy with the new stock launch/surface smoke.

Wouldn't an easy fix be to destroy the launch clamps when you're far enough away from them? They're removed from the save file on save and load anyway.

This is a stock bug that has persisted since 0.24 or so, but there's quite a few workarounds, one of being to pause and unpause the game with the ESC key. It's a wonder that it hasn't been fixed yet as it's incredibly obvious and easy to re-create.

That was a silly oversight on my part and was quite easy to fix. v1.2 -The patch now applies itself to engines only so other parts with emissives (ex: nose cones) don't glow from throttle but from heat (as they're supposed to). -Updated to 1.0.4 Download: KerbalStuff Requires ModuleManager: Get it here I haven't thoroughly tested it with 1.0.4, but it should work fine with this update. As always, feel free to report any issues you find.

I use Kerbal Engineer and I don't think Mechjeb is cheating. Playing the stock game, however, is cheating.

Since when is it official? IIRC it was just bunch of mods put together without the authors' permission, or is this something different?
