Disclaimer: My debate and criticism skills are mind-numbingly bad I wonder why... Sure, it might seem quite absurd at first to suggest your thread as one of the main causes of the what you described (rep inflation), but it makes sense if you realize that your it's the most viewed thread in the Kerbal Network subforum. It's plausible that the reason why rep has been devauled is because of your thread, along with the Green Iron Crown crap and the "How Close are YOU to Your Next Reputation Rank?" thread. Or maybe because the forum's just aging and more and more people are getting rep and you're feeling jealous. You're saying this as you're prominently advertising a thread you created specifically for the praise of those with high amounts of rep. I know it's tough to realize other people have different opinions, but maybe it was because they agreed with their criticism? You just implied that people who criticize Squad are trolls. It's only you that thinks harsh criticism of Squad is "bullying". This harsh criticism is only because Squad hasn't listened to our criticism in the past, so we're resorting to harsher means in the hopes that they'll listen to us (which they aren't). It's also because of the fact that people warned Squad about the dangers of going to 1.0 and predicted what the finished product would be like, and when Squad pushed ahead and the product was indeed half-glassed and alpha-quality it resulted in this harsh criticism. Also, your last sentence suggests you're feeling less special with your high amount of rep and hints at the underlying reasons of why you made this thread. Yes No I think you're just envious that a bunch of people are nearing you amount of rep, so you want the entire system removed or devauled to a miniscule point so that you don't have to worry about it anymore. Seems like a better system. Agreed.

I agree with you, but I want to point a few things out. You forgot to mention that the (ugly) glow doesn't properly update and the glow persists even after the part has completely cooled. Then you obviously haven't seen the new beautiful FAR which uses voxelization to compute aerodynamics instead of the old and flawed system that didn't couldn't take part clipping into account (interestingly enough, the 1.0 aerodynamics use a buggy and rushed version of FAR's old system of part-based aero calcs). Tweakable control surfaces is a FAR feature (but is badly needed in stock). Exactly. 40% of my mods still haven't been updated, so I'm stuck on 1.0.2. They should have taken a month longer on 1.0.4 to make sure it was not as terribly buggy and cobbled-together as it is now, but to be honest it would probably make little difference :^).

An easy way to get tons of rep is to make a craft loosely based off of a real life one (make sure it looks only a bit like the craft you're trying to make but not exactly like it), post it on the Spacecraft Exchange, call it a replica (important), and watch the rep roll in.

Agreed with all your points. It's incredible how much better the game would look with a better skybox and horizon. Also, saying graphics isn't as important as gameplay is a minecraft-level* statement and makes no sense when mods such as cloud packs and Scatterer exist and are very popular. *Minecraft-level as in it's a commonly used counterargument in minecraft's community when someone says that minecraft's graphics are terrible (true), but isn't logical because of the existence of incredibly popular shaders and texture packs.
