  1. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned MechJeb? I guess it would have surfaced anyway... Remote Tech is a bit unforgiving and I'm not sure it fits into the stock game. A way to use antennae for science based on distance from Kerbin would be nice. Procedural Fairings doesn't fit in that well with the "clip all the bit together" but that system can be dodgy. KW is one I use in every save ever. DRE. Tricky, because it makes the game more believable, but it would require an entire redesign of most spacecraft. Universal storage and KAS would be amazing. FAR would be good, but would widen the difficulty gap between rockets and planes. Rockets are easier because of the thinner atmosphere, planes are harder because you can't build in the same way anymore. Robotics would be great. Editor extensions would be great. Docking alignment mods... Meh, maybe. Maybe. SCANsat could be good. Not actually sure what EVE is. Then navball hasn't changed since 0.7 or whatever the first version was IIRC. A way to set the altimeter to height above ground, instead of height above sea level (real pilots do this, I've seen it done in light aircraft. Jets probably have computers w/ both displays) There, that should be most of the mods addressed, IMO that is. I don't know whether people got the original purpose, which was to avoid adding too much like new mechanics.
  2. I wish they'd give us an estimate release date. Like which month they EXPECT to release in, and if they extend it like they extended 0.24, they should just explain it and give a new release month.
  3. Which mods do you think should be made stock? I think only simple mods like http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/56440 or like the auto navball opener for the map screen should be made stock. Only mods which fit in flawlessly with the game should be suggested, ideally. Nothing game-changing like Interstellar or Remote Tech. DISCLAIMER: I understand the limitations of mods and why Squad won't directly add mods etc. but this is pure speculation. Also do not, I repeat DO NOT say "I want Mechjeb in KSP". Please. Please?
  4. Could be interesting for career mode! It looks like a very well thought-out mod, which means I will probably install it (Checking for any active flights first)
  5. I understand. The key is patients, like in a hospital. Or is that patience? Maybe we should have anti-suggestions, or things we don't want in the game EVER. Although that could get very silly quite quickly... We don't want: guns, aliens, but we also don't want bugs, and we don't want to wait for updates, we want an update per day!!!!
  6. I barely ever use thread ratings, they're not obvious or particularly relevant to me...
  7. Occasionally, I try to access a page on these forums and I get a 502 bad gateway error. Does anyone know the cause?
  8. I remember getting this mod in 0.20! I've never really been into life support mods even up to now though. Good effort maintaining the mod.
  9. Reddit?? But most of the stuff there is rubbish afaik...
  10. That's true, we do need it. Setting up an experiment on the Mun for example, and letting the next mission get the results!
  11. I hope that's the case... I also hope that they make updates a bit smaller and a lot more regular. The Minecraft model of snapshots every week is great, as only people interested actually get them. It gives the team an incentive to work on small chunks of features which can easily be fleshed out later. If something isn't really ready, release something else instead. It would help with the bug finding and fixing.
  12. It would have to be on a very tricky orbit to avoid the eternal "IT'S OP OMG!!!!11!!!!ONE!!!" issue.
  13. That depends on how much you get per flight... If a simple capsule test gets you 100000, then you're fine! - - - Updated - - - Did they just have them there for the sake of it? Seems a bit pointless.
  14. Eagerness would be quite cool, although maybe clever Kerbals would either know there is no real danger, and calm down, or know that they're screwed and yell their heads off.
  15. "Man, whoever designed the physics engine for these balls is a genius!"
  16. I was thinking more of finding an "asteroid" which is actually a stage.
  17. Three different types of science points... All colour coded (bio=green, chem=red, phys=blue)... ALL MY YES
  18. I'm starting to think that the suggestion sub-forum is becoming pointless, because I can't actually remember an instance where a KSP dev added a feature from here. Does anyone from Squad (bar community staff) actually read through the forums for ideas? If not, why call it suggestions, when you could call it "Things we wish were in the game"? It feels like Squad don't care about the community which made the game so successful. They're forgetting their roots.
  19. Bro, do you even space? Nah, I'd ask something like "how would you get people interested in space again" or "what do you think is the future of spaceflight?"
  20. Personally, I would be very disappointed. The construction of the rocket is going so slowly that they seem to make big news of "we glued the fairing to the capsule"... America as a whole would become yet more inclined to stop space-ing.
  21. Should they have made sure the framework was working before releasing an alpha?
  22. I remember being frustrated during the demo because I couldn't figure out the throttle. Then I tried a booster and I FINALLY WENT UP!
  23. So far, the arguments for and against are: FOR Science is empty and could be expanded. Experiments should take time. AGAINST Would get boring. CPU-intensive.
