POLL: What would you like Added/improved?
Talavar replied to Talavar's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
DV display WOULD be a nice addition! -
Kerbals are basically Ideas that exist within their own thoughts.. They essentially create themselves, defying the law of causality.. they are fed by more thought, hence the dreams of going to space fuels their existence. lol

Extend the physics distance in atmosphere
Talavar replied to Anthlon's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Stage recovery should address this problem, granted the parachute is already staged when you push it into the atmosphere. -
That is just....... no... Maybe if it had some numbers on it.. lol

POLL: What would you like Added/improved?
Talavar replied to Talavar's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I was pretty certain this one would get a lot of votes when I made this poll... Actually, I voted improved water landings myself.. lol -
Level 5-6.. although, I only just started working on my first mod... lol

I was wondering what the general consensus was among the player base of KSP of what they would like to see next if they only had one choice of the following. New planets/star systems Improved water landings (ships easily break apart currently) More Kerbal jobs (such as pilot, etc) More space station parts with purpose Better/more autopilot controls in Vanilla for pilots More science parts (in general) Rebalancing of administration programs Mining facilities

Hey, Sarbian. Just an Idea I had a bit ago.. I know you said you didn't want to put restrictions on mechjeb per pilot experience because of disgruntled users, however, rather than having to change anything, I would suggest adding mechjeb to the pilot skills and leaving the progressive mechjeb modules in-tact. AKA, you can have a very able pilot able to do these calculations/ maneuvers, or a mechjeb unit attached to the ship. That way, we can have the best of both worlds. Just an Idea.

KSP 0.90 'Beta Than Ever' Grand Discussion Thread!
Talavar replied to KasperVld's topic in KSP1 Discussion
So I install KSP 0.90.0 All excited about everything, then realize something... The administration building is still unbalanced. I was sure it would have been fixed this time around. It disappointed me immediately. Cmon squad, I'm tired of tweaking this stuff myself! *grumble* reset cfg to 10%.. again! PS: I don't want to hear "Then don't use it!" .. That's completely asinine. Why add a feature to a game that the average *non-cheating* user can't use without fixing it!?? -

HIlarious.. I just installed 0.25 and got all my mods set up, and you release .90 right when I come back to get mechjeb and finish it off.. IRONY! -

I have a problem with Science Progression
Talavar replied to CabbageFoot's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I actually fixed this in the cfg. If you're interested, check this out.. It's much better but still not perfect. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100134-How-to-fix-overpowered-Admin-cash-to-science -
This REALLY needs to be addressed before the game is considered a 1.0 completed game. I know we are in Beta now, but it's still more dangerous to land in water than on land.. Example.. earlier I was playing and had a tiny lander with a parchute on it coming down and landed it on Kerbin after some long science collection.. Now.. after this I used the same ship.. went and collected more science stuff, but my end trajectory planted me in the ocean.. Well, coming down I was at the same impact speed, but when I hit the water, my entire ship blew apart, and I lost all my science.. Now, not that I ever finished college, but shouldnt hitting water at 8-10 mps be safer than hitting land at 8-10 mps? not to mention the ship is made of metal (unless kerbals somehow use plastic on everything) why is it completely disintegrating on water landings, and not on land landings? (o.0) This isn't really something that needs to be discussed as it is part of the game that is pretty much broken. When can we expect changes to this to be implemented?

This is why I keep getting turned off of KSP.
Talavar replied to moeburn's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Moeburn, Just align the part using "A,W,S,D,Q,E" then place the two attachment (greenballs) points together. They will snap in place automatically. Then just leftclick to place and leave it there as usual. -
Custom Difficulty 10% Rewards: Game Balance Test!
Talavar replied to Torquemadus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
This won't be the case I believe. I dropped it even lower than 10% and was unlocking things left and right, and still had a ton of cash. (THis was with the old "fine-print") They'll have to rebalance fine-print before they add it, otherwise, it will be counterintuitive. (edit) with the cash--> science or Science-->cash setting available. It's almost easy mode regardless. -
In the Honor of KSP Ingenuity.. I give you the port-a-rocket :D
Talavar replied to Talavar's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yeah, I definitely would have been there. Waving a KSP flag no less.. lol -
I think this question is pretty subjective.. If you are using clipping to place a fueltank inside your Cockpit, then yeah, it's cheating, but if you are clipping wings together in a way that they could be welded in real life, then I would say no. So basically it depends on the situation.

GoDark... I was going over some of what you posted earlier.. I was wondering.. Does DMP know what keys are being pressed on the client machine, or does it only relay X,Y,Z/radial positioning, angle, and velocity? Or maybe only keeps track of positioning/angle and updates constantly?
-
2 things.. First.. make sure you are synced.. Sometimes it can be a little weird and you have to sync right off the bat.(atleast it used to.. not sure now, haven't used DMP for a bit).. secondly There is a "safety dome" over the launch pad. If you are still in it, you won't be able to see each other at all. It's there to keep ships from spawning in the same place and causing each other to explode. One of you need to launch while the other looks up.. see if you see them appear.. Dunno if I helped any. But I wish you luck!
