  3. *Facepalm* B9 is a HUGE mod. Maybe your game and system can handle 50 little mods, but B9 is the size of 20-30 mods. Here is one heavy moders advice to the rest: install you large mods like B9, KSPRC, TextureReplacer, KW Rocketry and so forth first, then add your smaller mods in groups of 3-5 and then test run it. Remember that mods that add a lot of parts are what really eat up your systems resources. So a system that is already being taxed by a 50 mod build of KSP will start having real issues when you slap a high part list mod like B9. Also, another trick to keep your part loads down is to install your big mods then your smaller ones like i said before until you have all the ones you want or your KSP starts to slow down or crash. Then go into the game files and manually delete all the parts that you know you are not going to use until your KSP levels out. For example I use B9 and KW. But I delete all the fairings and wings because I use procedural wings and fairings that way I can cut down my large part list.
  4. Having same issue, but only with stock engines. Running x64. Update: Not an KW problem. Problem remains without KW installed. At this point I cant find a way for shrouds to not show at all. Including removing info from part file.

Hello, Having an issue where: I load the ship / loads up just fine Press build / ship pop right up hit release..... then.... well... its there i can see it.... but i cant interact with it, cant see it on the map and dosent pop up on the list of ships at the space center.... and when i go back to the build ship.... its gone... help?
  6. so iv noticed that if i disable the muns atmo in your config, it comes back next time i start up the game. is this a glitch or something im doing wrong? is there a way to pertinently remove atmos from cretin planets? thank you for your help, cant wait to see whats coming next and sunsets!

  8. Thesonicgalaxy, What texture are you using for kerbin? It looks beautiful! a lot better than mine and Im using an HD pack.
  9. I noticed a small bug since the 23.5 update. I dont know if someone has reported it and honestly im too lazy to go threw 125 pages worth of posts to find out but.... it seams the ship icons are messed up? satellites show as rovers. ships as landers.... all of the mixed up. Im assuming this is because of the asteroids adding a new ship type and thus is throwing it off? It has effected Targetron as well, all my satellites have a rover icon. has this been discovered? if so is there a fix?
  10. OK... what if i bought KSP via steam? how do i bypass the login and make it do its magic on the copy i already have installed?

Need help gitting voidi's script to work... new to linux. if i download the zip and run text doc in terminal my credentials don't work. iv tried over and over to use my username and password but it keeps telling me wrong credentials. then i noticed the code: wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Voidi/proprietary_installer/master/ksp_installer chmod u+x ksp_installer ./ksp_installer <Path to Game directory> Ok... that didnt work ither.... the first command works, looks like it downloaded something, but the the next command "chmod u+x ksp_installer" i get: chmod: cannot access `ksp': no such file or directory chmod: cannot access `installer': no such file or directory what im i doing wrong here? am i using the wrong credentials as in shouldn't be using my ubuntu log in and password?
  12. Thanks for the help. BoulderCo texture compressor cause of conflict. cannot find a way to keep Texture Compressor from messing up resource bars. Constant CTD without Texture Compressor however so looks like this plugin is not an option for me, bummer... Great work though. a simple yet much needed feature. Keep up the good work.

  14. Dont know if this has been coverd before... but dont want to go threw 81 pages... cant get to work on B9 cockpits. Screens are there, it shows the info screen, buttons beep... but thats it.

  16. Dose any one know the number? how much RAM KSP can use before it crashes? im sitting at about 3.1 gigs with CTD 1 out of every 3 launches.
  17. Masked Turk: no one knows at this point. author has not up dated this mod since .19 and has not even logged in since june 5th. Markarian421: Yes, you did something wrong, have checked and rechecked this method. make sure you follow steps completely. make sure you are using X4r1 to write the new hilo and then use the provided version of 3.3.4 (unofficial version). also, if you haven't already done so you need to re-install all mods onto a fresh .21 copy and start the whole directory over after each patch or it may cause issues. PM me if you still cant figure it out and i will walk you threw it. Also, make sure you are installing the 3.3.4 legacy style. as in merging parts and plugin folders and not putting the whole ISA MAPSAT file into gamedata folder. (thanks for reminding me Cashen)
  18. Confirmed. For those of you who are trying to run map sat X4r1 on .21. I dont have alot of memory space left for KSP to operate with. And im not willing to lower the graphics settings or part ways with any of the mods I use. But as of .20 KSP ran smoothly with 20+ mods Including Mapsat (which i consider a necessity) So when .21 came out it broke Mapsat because of the new terrain settings, kerbin was mostly black and the mun mostly white. And as mapsat 3.3.4 dose not have the ability to update it hilo.data file it basically broke it. So i like many switched to X4r1, which CAN update its hilo.data file. but I ran into a new problem, X4r1 need a lot of memory to run, more than KSP with all the mods i had installed had to give. So it would constantly CTD if it would load after pressing lanch at all, mostly when i tried to lanch something it would go black with the loading symbole like it should and then just stay there. I would have to ctrl alt delete to task manager to find that the program wasn't responding due to lack of memory. it would then after about 10 min CTD. Many of the "solutions" I found on this thread where: lower graphics level (no). remove mods (no!). remove Mapsat (awh hell nah!) I have found a solution for those in my situation. 1) Download and install X4r1 2) Start game, launch a ship with mapsat installed. (you may have to remove some mods till it will run X4r1, then re install at a later date.) 3) In game, click the mapsat button/kerbalpidia/settings- check update hilo.data and exit game. 4) Go into ksp directory/gamedata/Innersewrnts Space agency/plugins/ plugindata/ ISA_mapsat delete hilo 5) repeat step 2, then exit (may hang for a moment ingame as it writes new hilo file) 6) Go back into ksp directory/gamedata/Innersewrnts Space agency/plugins/ plugindata/ ISA_mapsat and COPY that hilo file 7) uninstall X4r1, compleatly 8) Install ISA MapSat 3.3.4 UNOFFICIAL Update http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/isa-mapsat-3-3-4-unofficial-update/ 9) go to KSP/plugins/plugin data/ISA_Mapsat, delete the hilo file here and paste the other one. 10) Repeat step 2 11) ??? 12) Great success! Now you have a map sat that takes WAY less memory than X4r1 and will accurately scan the new terrain elevations! Hope this helps some folks, fly safe!

Ok here is a thought (no matter how much it hurt to have one) There is an issue with X4r1 being RAM hungry, iv heard it said you need about "a gig of head room" for it to run smoothly. so the popular "fix" for us who are running a ton of mods is to down grade to the last vision. the problem with the last version is that it cannot write a new hilo.dat file which you need to do if you want to have accurate terrain scan with the new .21 update. so... what about installing x4r1, turning on hilo.dat update, delete provided hilo.dat, let it up date, copy hilo.dat, delete x4r1, down grade to previous non ram destroying version and using the new, updated, hilo.dat file that x4r1 created with the older version? would that work? will try when i get back home tonight and post results if someone hasn't figured that one out by then.
  20. Having an issue where I am not able to switch main view to night vision, thermal, ext. the target cam switches to the modes fine but not the main view. other than this issue, .21 update works like a charm, thanks for the hard and fast work Romefarer.
  21. My Save Upgraded with no problems, back up save file first then upgrade.
  22. Encountering memory problems (again). .21 seems to be more resource hungry (at least a little bit). downloaded a metric ton of mods during .19 like I had a hording problem. Soon found out that that wasn't going to fly with a 32bit program, so i widdled it down to the absolute must haves so that .20 ran seamlessly. Same Mod load, same amount of flights and space junk that ran so well in .20... but now it seams that Im back to widdling down even more to get .21 running smooth. Point is? Im concerned this game is slowly headed toward physical memory issues and slowly loosing its ability to even support mods. Other than that, game of the year in my book. absolutely hooked on it. awesome job gentlemen.
