BOEING 747-400 [365 Passenger Capacity]
Jetenginestar replied to Jetenginestar's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thanks for the suggestion , fixed. If we were to carry 364 Passengers in hitch hikers, the hitch hikers would weight 227.5 tons, way above the aircraft's MTOW of 167.8 tons I think 150 passengers sounds more feasible with enough spare weight for the engines and fuel tank. IMO a major redesign is a better option than to modify the craft -

Thanks, well, the armor did it's job I guess There Should be a ladder at the door in front of the wing which allows you to climb in. The ladder has been removed in the low part version. -
BOEING 747-400 [365 Passenger Capacity]

About a year ago, someone gave comment that my old 747 was not up to scale. With a little inspiration from ArcticAstrophysics' 747, I decided to remaster the plane with all the knowledge I've gain since I first played the game. Kermens, I present you, the 747 Reborn! Action Groups [1] Toogle Left Side Engines* [2] Toogle Right Side Engines* [3] Toogle Naviagation Lights [4] Toogle Ladders *Because the aircraft has a terrible turn rate on the ground, you can use asymetric thrust to get abit more torque. Basic Version (Part Count: 752) http://www./download/yowaz99sjoh99l7/BOEING+747-400+Custom.craft -The airplane without seats. Low Part Version (Part Count: 591) http://www./download/ax7uvmncwwlx7ve/BOEING+747-400+Low+Part.craft -This version is striped of all the cosmetic and non-essential parts, effectively reducing the part count to 591 parts without degrading handling performance. High Desity Version (Part Count: 1115) http://www./download/8qa7xm8fbc5y1e5/BOEING+747-400+High+Density.craft -Who on Earth (or Kerbin) needs so much capacity anyway? -

Mother of seats! 311 Seats on lower deck, 54 Seats on Upper deck. Well, I think I'll make a version which will be strip down to the basics so that people without supercomputers can have fun with it. -

Last phase of the test flight program, the high altitude flight tests... All I need now is a cinematic for the craft and I can release it Final part count is 722. Size comparison between ArcticAstrophysics's 747 and mine... Smaller but more parts -

Btw sgt_flyer, I pushed your propeller engines to another level 721 parts without passenger seats. She'll be better off as a Liquid Fuel freighter or a Combi... -

On a test flight from KSC to Kerbin City Intenational, 80% thrust setting + x2 time warp = Flight 811 -

Feels like flying a DC-3. The plane will tend to increase it's bank angle itself if you don't keep it 100% upright. Other than that, it's Excellent. Edit: We need more powerful engines! or at least larger propellers -

Her modeling is done, ready for some vigorous flight testing. she has some serious nose down problems because her CoL is not Rearward enough from the Cog... Had to use some dirty tactics to keep her controllable >=) -

N00dleMeister has some really good and refined designs, too bad he doesn't post the craft files... This was his last video he posted, which was 6 monts ago... and it's absolutely amazing -

I can imagine bullet trains and monorails craft files running around rails built into the city as well as converging into one massive train terminal -

If I don't bump into too much structural problems, this 747-400 could possibly carry 200-300 Passengers. Regarding about the An-225 Mockup, I will convert it into an An-124 because a full scale 225 is way too long. -
Post your planes of any type here! [.23]

Yeap, I glided it for a full 18 minutes once from 20,000m before landing it on the hills...

If you really need to, here's a Twin Engine Jet I made that can carry 108 Passengers if you use 6 seats per row. I put 4 seats per row for more comfort http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/79097-Boeing-757-Narrow-Body-Jetliner-(72-Passengers-2-Pilots)

Day Dreaming again when I thought about setting up a space station in the middle of nowhere... (Between Eve and Kerbin to be precise) Is there any practical advantage for this kind of design, I doubt there is .__.

Sections by sections? Sounds like and underground city is one way to go.

An-225 Mock-up It probably wouldn't see daylight until the next few months when I have time. Making a movable Cargo Door that is reliable should be a challenge -
After months of R&D, we've put together a Longer, Larger, Quieter aircraft that can fly Farther, Faster and Higher. The aircraft utilizes new paneling design as well as new construction techniques. No more getting stuck in between fuel tanks when walking up to your seat. Pros:- -Excellent Gliding Performance Cons:- -The 4 Swept Wing wing span is abit overkill and increases uncessary costs. -Plane is floats on the runway for a while when you try to land it. Specifications:- Empty Weight (Without Fuel) : 18.17t Empty Weight (With Fuel): 24.47t Cruise Altitude: 25,000m Cruising Speed: 1100 m/s Capable of circling Kerbin at Empty Weight (With Fuel) Range with 22.5t payload: 1,401,255m Vmu Empty Weight: 33m/s Vmu 22.5t payload: 46 m/s Action Groups: [1] Toggle Engines [8] Toggle Ladders [9] Toggle Nose Gear Lights Download link: http://www./view/qtbyuoasad2edl0/Boeing_757-200.craft As always, just notify me any problems found and I will look in for a solution. Fly Safe! Notes: Size wise, this craft is not built to scale as real 757s can carry twice as much of passengers and the engines are 1.5 times more powerful than the current Tubojet engine used. The KSP Turbojet (112.5kN @ 75m) re-essembles more to a 737NGs' CFM56-7B Engine. Plane Capable of take off even if 1 engine fails. Rudder and Roll required to compensate torque from thrust.
