How to merge two saves together
Hodo replied to The_Rocketeer's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
In the save file it should have a listing for all of the active flights. If I was infront of my home PC I would copy and paste the section for you from one of my saves. -
airplane fuel position and control
Hodo replied to bigbangnet's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This is one of my simple stock fighters from .25 that works in .90. It is a SSTO spaceplane but the same principles apply to it as do a standard airplane. The fuel tank is pretty much centered on the CoM, so as it drains it will not affect the CoM by much if any at all. I think this craft the CoM shifts by about .1-.25m total. -
If you build correctly you can use Aerospikes or other high ISP non-nuke engines to do the job. I rather like using the Aerospikes.

So I'm loving .90, except...
Hodo replied to Kardea's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I am just waiting for all of my mods to update so I can roll it over. The short amount of time I messed with it currently wasnt that bad. It was pretty simple but seeing as I mostly use SSTO space planes or just planes in general it wasn't all that bad to me. My F-116 Akula still loaded fine and flew just fine so I was able to fly around and do things. Granted the first thing I did was update the SPH and the runway. Then I uninstalled it and rolled back to .25. LOL. -
[1.1] BDArmory v0.11.0.1 (+compatibility, fixes) - Apr 23
Hodo replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
...... Nothing nice to say. ...... -
Lets see today I updated and backed up my .25 install. Glad I backed it up, because .90 is horrible for me right now without a few mods. But I am patient and I will continue to play .25 for the next month while everything gets updated.

[0.90] Procedural Dynamics - Procedural Wing 0.9.3 Dec 24
Hodo replied to DYJ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So quick update for everyone. Procedural wings is NOT compatible with .90. So give them time to update the mod and calm down. Otherwise have a nice day. -
That is what I did lastnight.

KSP 0.90 Beta than Ever FPS Performance
Hodo replied to hazens1's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I am going to ask the obvious troubleshooting questions. -Are you running any mods? -Are you running the exact same settings as the previous version? -What does your Output.log look like? Are there any errors? -What is your system specs? -Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? -
I am running a i5 8GB RAM 500GB HDD 7200RPM 760GTX Nvidia GPU, Updated! OpenGL reduces my memory usage with the number of mods I run from about 2.8GB with ATM Basic, to around 2.1GB. Currently in my .25 install I am running these mods. B9 ATM Basic BDArmory TTWheels Procedural Wings Procedural Tanks Spanners Weapons RT2 TAC Lifesupport EVE RetroFuture DRE MKIV Spaceplane parts Mechjeb KER Kerbinside complete KAX Firespitter KAS IR KSPX BDarmory adjustable wheels and a few others.

You should try using the 1.25m structural fuselage parts rolled under the craft to create the distance you need. this with an intake or a nose cone on it will keep it looking smooth and natural without it looking like it is sitting on stilts. It will shift your CoM down a little bit but they are so light you can counter this by adding a bit of counter weight above the CoM in another location.
-
While I hate the pylon gear, I have to agree. You need to increase the clearance and use more landing gear. The method I prefer is to use the 1.25m structural fuselage parts to create that space needed, they weigh next to nothing and they look better then gear on stilts.

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Hodo replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ferram4 I have a question about hydronamic force. What is it? Are you attempting to fix the water also? If so, awesome, and you would have to change your forum tag from "I make things fly" to "I make things fly and float."- 14,073 replies

[1.12.x] Mark IV Spaceplane System (August 18, 2024)
Hodo replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Rover wheels seem to really want to fall through that bay. Struts can sort it out during launch, but the whole point of the ramp is to allow rovers to be recovered. Even KAS struts would not have saved this one; the rover fell through immediately after reconnecting to the docking port; there was no time to strut. Ok the easiest fix for this is not to dock the craft at the front. I found if I find its docking point to be inline with the CoM of the object in the cargo hold it wont flop through. And it will give you time to strut it. I like to place the low profile flat KAS wench at the bottom of the cargo hold and pull the object over it then switch it to dock mode then strut it. The other option is to do this the otherway and put it on the top of the cargo hold and pull it towards that point. This lets you adjust the height of the cargo in the bay. Outside of the quantum struts or the active struts there is no otherway to do it. With parts falling through the floors of cargobays has been an issue since .23 if not before. -

Hodo replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Borderline, HA! Speak for yourself, it is required for my KSP. LOL. But I can wait for him to update at his own time. Not a huge deal, I just rolled back to the previous version of KSP.- 14,073 replies

Samething here. Just finished flight testing my new SSTO design that has VTOL abilitis and the space to fit a decent sized rover, and BAM! .90 comes out. So I just rolled back my version and "Charlie Mike" as usual. The sad thing is I was only planning on going to visit Lathe, never been there, actually never been to Jool.

Kerbodyne SSTO Division: Omnibus Thread
Hodo replied to Wanderfound's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That booster on the back of that thing is a bit of an overkill for that small of a craft. -
[1.1] BDArmory v0.11.0.1 (+compatibility, fixes) - Apr 23
Hodo replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
It is amazing how much is lost through text. Fact is people just need to calm down, do something new and revolutionary and read the thread and see if the question has been asked before. If you are to lazy to read, hit CTRL + F, and type in your question there, it will find it out of the forums to see if ANYONE EVER has asked that exact question. -
Having seen the new movie after a Hobbit IMAX 3d marathon of all of the Hobbit movies, including the new one that comes out this week, it couldn't have been a better way to spend my anniversery with my GF and a whole day!

B9 Will always be part of my mod inventory, it is almost as important as FAR, DRE, Real Chutes and Procedural Wings to me. It is mainly because of the better looking command cockpits for aircraft and the SABREs. Without B9 craft like this would not be possible.

You know it is a valid question even if you did download .90. BTW you aren't alone.
-
Ok people, I know half of you wont read this but... FIRESPITTER IS A SEPERATE MOD! B9 uses the Firespitter.dll which is needed for some of the animations, if Firespitter hasn't been updated then several things will not work and may cause crashes. Be patient if you absolutely MUST play rollback your version if you are on Steam and play on, if not well hope you have a previous version saved. I am sure every mod will be updated in the next week or two, it is the hollidays and people have lives outside of this game. EDIT- All I want for Christmas is the updated Mk2 parts to match the "new" current mk2 parts in KSP. That is it.

[1.12.3+] RealChute Parachute Systems v1.4.9.5 | 20/10/24
Hodo replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Man I am glad I have a job, because all I did was rollback my KSP version so I could play till the mods I use are updated and not worry about a thing. I may actually update my KSP in about a week, that maybe when I get enough time to play again. Man I feel for those of you have nothing but time right now to play. -
If you are running Steam you can revert back to .25 and load it up and remove the parts. I reverted back to .25 just to play till my mods get updated.
