I have used HyperEdit a few times to refill resources on really really long difficult missions where I realized that I haven't quicksaved in a long time and I'm just about to run out of power and only need a few seconds more. If I was way off and not even close to returning, then I consider it a failure and start over. I have used the debug menu's infinite fuel or RCS for the same reason as above. I am lazy because I use MechJeb to execute nodes for me, and lift off into orbit even though I'm more than capable of doing any operation myself. I just find the repetition boring after years of playing. I just find the repetition boring after years of playing. I just find the repetition boring after years of playing. I have sticky pad sheets everywhere around my computer with phase angles and required delta-v written on them for every planet so that I don't have to visit http://ksp.olex.biz/ every time. I also have all the stats of my favourite launchers that I use written down. I build useless gigantic space stations that have no purpose for no reason, and once I'm done, I return all the crew to Kerbin, dock an engine to it and watch as it de-orbits through the atmosphere and gets torn apart.

I find it funny how many people mention that they're looking forward to the addition of Fine Print into the next version, which is something that Squad DIDN'T make! LOL I think it's been a little sad lately that Squad sits back and just plays with things they think would be cool instead of actually fixing or improving anything. But when an awesome mod comes out that somebody else did, they jump at it to include it in their next version. Saves them a lot of work... At least they announced that they're going to be working mostly on bug fixes and performance improvements now. However, they also mentioned that they're going to improve aero in the game, and I'm willing to bet money that they're going to try to integrate FAR or NEAR into stock, because then they don't have to do the work themselves!

Meh. I loaded 0.25, started it and played with it for about 15 minutes. Nothing really special that was worth ruining any current saves so I deleted it. I'll keep running .24.2 for now until 0.90. Even then, I'll probably wait for the "bug fix release" after that...

Anyone else not really care for the career stuff?
xtoro replied to sedativechunk's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm mostly a sandbox player. But I do enjoy the science career. I'm not too crazy about the full-blown science and funds career but I do also still play that. I'd say that I feel like I accomplish more in science career because of unlocking things, but I have more fun in sandbox, and I'm able to challenge myself with whatever I want, no matter how ridiculous it is. The full-blown career is just too stressful at times and I don't call that fun. When I'm at home, not working, and relaxing, I want to relax. I don't want to play a stressful game... -

xtoro replied to Arsonide's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Congrats on the 0.90 integration! Hope Squad is making it worth your while to use it -
Ah, yeah I run Linux 64-bit, and am also using FAR. Every one I've tried. And I've tried many, many, many, MANY mods, but I only use 50-something now. lol And yes, all at once.

Ddbug an XF86Config file? Wow, that must have been a LONG time ago lol I can't remember the last time I did any command line work or config file editing... It's all control panels through the GUI now. I don't know of any that are purposely disabled for x64.... And I run over 50 mods, including large ones...

Avalon : A mission to every planet and moon - Investigation Via EVA
xtoro replied to xtoro's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Yes it is. I apologise but real life stuff got in the way. As I've mentioned previously I'm recovering from major surgery and I've had a few complications so my game time has been limited, but I'm still active on the forums via my cell phone. Fear not, there is much much more story to tell and many more planets and moons to visit xt -
What's this "Hype" about?
xtoro replied to LtHeckard's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It's children finding out they're going to the candy store. Pretty much exactly that... -
I wouldn't suggest replacing the OS, however, I would suggest using a small portion of a hard drive to ADD an OS so you can dual boot into either one. It's 150% worth it instead of messing around with flags and options and worrying about how many mods you can use and which ones can you really live without... Just put in Linux along side windows, install 64-bit KSP, and then download and install as many mods as you want! Your only limit is how much RAM your computer has! Then enjoy playing with everything you want, and never have to worry about crashing again.... Unless you tend to crash your ships often from unintentional lithobraking, in that case, Linux will not help you lol

What would you want in the next update (0.90)?

Are you kidding me? -
Wings. Who needs em? (Serious question.)
xtoro replied to Riph's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
These designs are nice and all but, take either one of them and go land at the island runway to "pick something up" or drop off or whatever. Then take off again, get into orbit, deliver a payload, return and land at KSC, and then go back to the island runway, all in one go. Then try it with wings. You'll see that you used much less fuel and were actually able to pull it off. -

xtoro replied to JtPB's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials

for what is the ion thruster?

They're perfect for small lightweight satellites used for scanning and RemoteTech. That tiny tank of gas will get you really far. -
Why do all my planes roll?
xtoro replied to Zipmafia's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Cuz that's how they roll.... Somebody had to say it! -
KSP is selling better than Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on Steam?!
xtoro replied to LtHeckard's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Not bashing KSP by saying this because I obviously like the game, but Assassin's Creed is almost a cult game and I have few friends who like it like I do. They're the same peeps that like games like Splinter Cell and Hitman vice shoot em ups and RPG's. -
Basically what the title says. Maybe add a "Part Edit" toggle to the top of the screen which will allow you to see where in your GameData folder a certain part is when you hover over it, and have an button pop up to permanently delete it. The game would unload the part from memory and delete the files associated with it. This would come especially handy for someone like me who wants to SEE and play with a part before I decide if I want it or will ever use it. Then I can download NovaPunch, KWR, B9 etc, and sort through the parts in-game instead of going through all the folders one-by-one. I do this often because there are great mod packs, but there's also tons of parts I don't need, and some are repeated. I do not need 8 different kinds of struts...

Obsession with .25, .26, updates.... Stop the madness!
xtoro replied to xtoro's topic in Kerbal Network
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who gets annoyed! I agree on the absurdness. At many points it just becomes hype for the sake of hype.... THANK YOU.... It does when every time I come here to see what's going on, I see these damn posts. This is why I said I wished there was an option to ignore or hide threads... No, I get excited about many things, and anticipate them too, but not a minor release of a video game... I'm afraid there are far better things in life to be excited about and anticipate to a point of insanity and endless repetition... I enjoy many real things, but I have also lived in several countries, traveled the world to 18 countries, been to a war zone and in combat, I've ran marathons, been skydiving, scuba diving, swam with dolphins and sharks, rode a camel in the deserts around Dubai, road trips around Africa and many many more things. I've seen some amazing things and met some amazing people... This year I just moved back home from living in Germany for the last 4 years, and I had major surgery to remove my enlarged spleen by being cut open from waist-line to sternum thanks to Lymphoma and I'm still recovering from both. What am I anticipating and excited about? My recovery from my surgery so that I can start chemotherapy and then hopefully have a normal life, that's what. So, please forgive me, friend, if I don't find this minor release something that I should be completely obsessed about, and that I find it a little annoying to see it over and over again throughout the day every day.... -
If you look into your settings.cfg file does it say "fullscreen=true"?

I'm afraid they're not quite that bright green... The green I see has less brightness and more saturation on the kerbals. Although this may be a lighting effect...
