I agree with you. I thought this will be hype thread, just like the one we had for 0.23.5, but it actually turned into a flame-war thread between people that complain about the Steam-only pre-release and the once defending the concept. Edit: For people that cry over this: When KSP was only available through Store, I could have cried because I couldn't buy an awesome game because none of the transaction services were available in my country.

I did read, but I think that something is better than nothing, anyways, biggest joy to me was watching the first impressions by Youtubers that got the update earlier than the others.

I'm serious when I play career mode, and blowing up a rocket or a building is nowhere near funny to me, it is actually very frustrating, because it is a lot of money to repair, experienced kerbals that give me a higher yield of science, or have advanced controls die, and I fail a mission, which costs and is time consuming. -
What I really love about Squad is that they care about the community, Instead of forgetting them and trying to complete their goal. Squad devs are the most community-caring devs!

Actually, total refine of the start would be needed. With the current way of playing, they could roll out probes completely, because capsules are very overpowered in comparison to them. They should first add starter 0.625m tanks and engines, with a sounding rocket probe core. Not starting with 1.25m capsule, tanks and engines straight away. More science experiments would be nice too. P.S. I would like barometer and thermometer to be starting experiments, with goo and materials coming later. -

Or have suits to be upgraded? So at first, when starting a career, you wouldn't have a pressurized suit, so no EVA in non atmospheric environments. The next type of suit would allow EVA in vacuum, but would have no fuel and it would be connected with a line to a cockpit. (Maybe a special bulky cockpit required for such a thing, Similar to Voskhod 2) And then the third stage, the classic suit we already have. I am a bit sick of upgrading your astronaut complex early in the career, and already having the modern suit. In real life self propelling backpacks were designed in the late MIR and ISS time. -

So, it was quite a while since .18, and the look of VAB based parts is getting old. They are not bad, but the contrast between them and newly implemented parts is quite significant. Looking at the Rockomax Jumbo-64 and Twin-Boar, even if they have the similar size and purpose, they look quite different. I think the revamp would be needed.

Oh God! These old parts really made me nostalgic! I remember making a probe core with two delta wings and 2 big control surfaces, and it could fly infinitely! Old Aerodynamics were crazy!

Wait, wait, wait! I joined in 0.17! And, the first mod I used was NovaPunch. I still consider versions post .22 as new. And they are actually!

As I joined in 0.17, I didn't have the honor to play the earlier versions, which I find very cute! Anyways, one of the first part packs I ever installed were NovaPunch, KW Rocketry and CBBP's TKS pack (don't remember the exact name). Damned robotics too, but I was too new to the game to be able to anything with it, except building a big robotic arm which flipped over on the launch pad every time! Does anybody remember that mod with a green military truck and Russian UAZ jeep? Ahh, old days...

I think you didn't read my comment to the end, right? I already launched a Vanguard-like rocket with the first satellite. I unlocked the soviet engines 2m and 3m cores, and I built a successful Sputnik 8K71PS. Now that I tried to add the Luna 8K72-2 stage, It failed to reach orbit even with a relatively light payload... Thx!

Hey, sorry for almost double posting, but I need help I would like to hear some useful tips about rocket building... I am already in RP-0 for some time, and I succeeded getting my first satellite into orbit. I tried advancing further, launching heavier payloads into orbit, but no matter how I build the rocket, It always has the same DV and almost always fails to complete it's mission.

Guys, what do you think about BD Adjustable Landing Gear compatibility? I tried it, but I ran into compatibility problems. The Wheels were instantly overheating on the runway and exploding almost instantly after engine startup. I found it is the problem with the low default temperature of gears! External temperature is 300K and external is 1730K. The problem is that I don't know how to change it.
