  1. Back in my day it was just the gentleman's battle league. Need to expand our horizons again.
  2. I wanted to ask around to see if HatBat might be interested in featuring stock land weapons? I know that most of ground combat will be BD based for simplicity. Could use some good variation though. For instance I just developed my next generation stock tank with 6 high penetration i-beam launchers capable of annihilating just about any stock or modded vehicle. I think some stock land battles would be cool. Works awesome for space combat. Of course I would side my tanks with GMI since they are already underwhelmed in submissions compared to HKA.
  3. Do you have any interest in stock military land vehicles? It is an area that I currently excel in. Given the past episodes though i'm guessing you want to stick to BD land vehicles. If this is something you might be interested in I would gladly make a company submission for my updated stock Lynx II and Relentless tanks. I could create separate stock land vehicles to battle each-other out on different sides. Just for some variation. To be fair though my stock weaponry is more than capable of destroying anything else, even modded craft. So i'll make sure to make a post here and contribute my resources to your awesome series. Keep up the great work here. I will edit this post into a real submission at a later time.
  4. Keep up all your good work! Your missile launcher may lead to truly dangerous weaponry. You should try your hand at some more stock tanks. (I need some cannon fodder )
  5. I'm surprised that you guys are still up at this. I haven't posted here for several years. Are any of you still interested in stock tank battles/building?
  6. Some people say i'm toxic on forums but i'm an officer lmao.
  7. Its finally coming together here folks. I taste a release imminent... Finally.
  8. I'm happy to introduce to you the Lynx II Main Battle Tank. This completely stock fighting vehicle comes armed with 6 high-velocity i-beam launchers (housed on a 360° rotating turret) capable of stopping any adversary in it's tracks. For an extra measure of self defense this tank also features an independent-rotating half-length i-beam launcher mounted on the top of the turret. The Lynx II takes the name from its predecessor. The Lynx II is nowhere near as heavily armored as past vehicles such as the Relentless and instead focuses on being more agile with a lower chassis profile. The Lynx II however does feature a highly sloped upper and lower front glacis in order to help deflect incoming fire. The Lynx II was built on the philosophy that the best defense is a good offense. A single shot from it's main weaponry is often enough to send it's target back to the stone age. The turret ring and bearing mechanism have also been strengthened compared to previous tank models; greatly improving the durability of the machine. In all this 10 meter long tank weighs in at 340 parts and 27 tons. (Make sure to select "Control From here" from the probe core in the center of the chassis after decoupling the central turret) Download The Lynx II Main Battle Tank Here Or download at KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Jon144/JTF---Lynx-II-MBT
  9. I originally typed penetrators but the autocorrect there was too good. They are absolutely deadly though. The Lynx II similar to its predecessor is going to rely on it's firepower and mobility to get the first strike. Although it has an amazing front slope of armor the rest of it is pretty light. But it is an MBT and not a heavy tank. The armor of the relentless tank series is much more effective. But also much larger and heavier.
  10. Early pictures of the all-new Super Lynx Main Battle Tank. Kerbin has invested in renovating it's surface military. Although this project is mostly classified at this time engineers have said this new machine features a full 360 rotating turret armed with 6 high velocity i-beam perpetrators. (All stock of course) More of you guys need to make stock tanks... I have felt so lonely.
  11. The Starfury and Thunderbolt were my all time favorite fictional space fighter designs. I tried making some but only got mediocre results. That was a great show. Really funny in some parts.
  12. I tried to integrate a scanner drive into one of my mega-trucks a few months ago but instead of grabbing the bearing it would start slipping through it. So unless you have a few million struts it may be difficult to hold the scanner in place. From my experience they coat these things in butter.
  13. My problem with the scanners is that due to the infinite torque they tend to physically phase through bearings when under heavy load so it's hard to gear them to high speed applications unless you really know what you're doing.
  14. What has Azimech done in the last few months? Designed brand new high efficiency turboshaft engines Released some of the coolest helicopters ever to grace KSP all in a single thread Cool Screenshots Download Links Gained rep What has Jon144 done in the last few months? Post screenshots on light progress I made of abandoned projects I started prior to winter that are still not released. Borderline necro-threading Well that's disappointing. Really good work though I am speechless.
  15. Bravo! We have all tried to replicate swash plate designs and the like but have rarely been successful.
  16. Sure! as long as I get some credit. @Phantom000 Make sure you don't have any joint reinforcement mods or any other mods that alter the physical properties of the game before using this craft!
  17. Yeah. Noname referenced me here. I did my own tests on this concept after he brought it to me. My results were nearly identical to klond. I found that a claw could never be turned perfectly upside down so the rotation would become unstable at about any speed. It's so sad because the design is essentially friction-less. I was able to use them on a modified Kinchook but the strange wobble eventually shook it apart. So if they did get patched now and don't turn beyond 45 degrees it's not a total loss because after days of testing I couldn't find any significant practical use as an engine bearing over conventional designs so I let Noname continue the work. The main problem was having to invert the rotors before flight which means it was hard to design anything that could actually start on the runway to begin with.
  18. Well I designed it with enough lift to carry two orange fuel tanks so that it would have more than enough for any possible bomb load. So when unarmed it has so much lift that it handles almost like a fighter. Similar to the real B52 actually. Unloaded they are pretty agile.
  19. I'm about done finishing my B52 restoration project. Since this is based on a design I built early last year I didn't have any custom cockpit installed unfortunately But on the other hand it still has oh so sweet landing gear bays. Handles remarkably in the air for such a large beast. If you were wondering this was the B52 used in Hatbat's most recent cinematic episode. Still working on minor cosmetics of course.
  20. That last episode was awesome. Too bad I didn't provide the updated B-52 for this that I had worked on. But i'll be working on that for the new submissions. Part of *Spoiler* Entrellon Engineering.
  21. Thank you very much! It isn't the best example of what helicopters can be but I think that it is one of the simplest and well rounded. That being said it will probably have been the best creation I managed to build in this game. Unless you like land behemoths.
  22. I did my own tests of this a while back and I believe Azimech did too. In my builds I have found that in the current aero model its best to have low angle of attacks in order to decrease the drag generated by the surfaces in order for them to spin faster and generate more lift. Drag and total power of the rotors does not scale evenly with angle of attack based on how the difference in the angle of attack changes drag and the speed that they can rotate. I'm not explaining this very well but you probably get the point. In short usually rotors with less drag will produce more power than slow rotors with high angles of attack. This is opposite from the old aero model we had.
  23. I may be nothing more than a lurker now but I couldn't let a thread like this escape me My last mega-rover (A dump-truck) The Kelaz Evolution. It's not that big but it might be one of the largest working stock land vehicles that uses custom wheels and braking systems. Oh yeah... Thats what is unique about this one. Each wheel can brake independent of each other that makes for a really sharp turning radius. Please note I never did an official release of this version so if the interest is still out there I will do so. Key Klond are you interested in developing a stock loader crane for this dump truck?
  24. Don't worry. I will be getting a release ready this week I hope. New features included in this design include asymmetric braking that help this beast turn. Here in the meantime is a beta download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c4z2dvaigbr6c71/Kelaz Evolution (Beta).craft?dl=0 Make sure to send feedback before I do the final release later this week. That's pretty cool ! I never imagined using my bearing for bogie wheel suspension like that ! Very creative. No need to give credit unless you really want to
