I made a new post to keep things chronological. All right, first things first, you need to continue this. If this is 0.1 then I can't wait to see what is coming! I played around a bit with the part and made two crafts. A tiny one and a large one. See pics below. Comments: - Your models look very well done as always. - When you take the Philly claw out of the parts list it is upside down. If I didn't know what the Rosetta - Philae lander looks like (awesome that you made this part btw), i might have put it on upside down. Perhaps that caused the problem posted above. It attached the second time for me. The first time one of the legs bumped into the asteroid. - My only gripe with the conversion is that water is transformed in food and oxygen. It seems a bit to magical. Perhaps you could use something like algae that feed on water and waste to make food and oxygen. Not sure about the conversion rates, maybe less food unit made per unit waste and water so you don't create a loop. It is a bit late for me:confused: Ideas: - Turn the water into ice and create something like a heater. Would make a nice addition and would force you to plan your city building a bit. - A science station, which is something like the science lab. But for asteroid science!! - A hab modules for living, not the most necessary as we can use the crew tank. Hope the above helps with development. I will be following and using what ever progress is made. Edit: Post above confirms the upside down placement. -

Well I haven't had the time to play it yet, but the direction you want to take the mod seems reasonable to me. I use TAC LS so the fact that I can so the asteroids for that is nice and make the missions to them more... versatile? I like the fact you are creating things we can use to do something on/with the asteroid. Be that resource conversation, sure that is cool, but like you say I don't want to micromanage them. Alright typing this has made me want to test it out, less sleep, more KSP! Will edit later. -
Has anyone wondered about how Jool's moons were discovered?

Yes, they need some lens wipes. Also, I cannot wait until something like a discovery mechanism is added to the game. I think the current asteroid system is the basis for that. Let's hope it will use the observatory that they added to KSC when they updated it. -
I would like to see extended EVA activities and science options as described some of the posts above. Right clicking is too much of a mehhh for me. The reason I installed KAS was that I could set up a science station of sort when landing somewhere. Also does anyone know why the rock grabbing animation was not put in the game?? It's awesome!! A second thing would be things like EVE and distant object enhancement because they add a whole new dimension to the game. Kerbin without EVE looks well... weird. Squad probably has a plan for the next few updates, so I don't expect to see any of this implemented soon. It would be nice if they had something like a road map of things they would like to do. Not with the big things but the small ones, like biomes or model updates and aestatic changes. Though, I expect they won't show one on the forums because that would lead to people being disappointed when things get cancelled, like the resources.

Technogeeky and DMagic, thanks for continuing the development of this mod. This was one of the first I used and adds a whole new level gameplay for me. Just felt I needed to say something..

I would like squad to first finish adding all the biomes to the existing bodies and adding more stuff to do on and around the bodies before making gp2. Things like more extended ways of doing science. -

After a brief look (because I have to work in 8 hours, stupid timezones!!) I have concluded that rockets are now held together by magic and that rest looks awesome but will have to wait because they deserve more time. Nice work Devs, you did it again.

I'm all for showing off the basics and some of the new parts, but to have everything spoiled at once is a bit of a kick in the backside. Obviously, it could be said that it is my own fault for watching videos/reading posts that contain these spoilers, but I was looking for a couple of new parts, and a showing of some of the asteroids. It can be difficult to only see a little when everything is thrown at you from the off. I agree with this, but it would be difficult to organize when showing the update in a stream. I would enjoy it when an update would contain things that we have to go out and discover. Like the eastereggs and the fact you can climb the flag pole at KSC. With the 0.23.5 it could have been that the asteroid classes would not have been made public with the showcasing. Image your reaction when encountering an E class for the first time. exploration ~ noun 1. the action of exploring an unfamiliar area. "space exploration" 2. thorough examination of a subject. "some changes in the situation may need exploration"

I don't see the LES. Forgetting that is something you shouldn't do when sending Kerbals to space.

Agreed, in comparison to the 1 meter tanks the 2 meter tanks always look thin ... less robust at least. -

I don't want to be the buzz-killer here but, I don't think they would have set up an entire day of KSP-TV streams showing of the new ARM update if they release a new version before it. I mean who would watch went you can play it. Perhaps the release will be like the way they did with 0.23 and KerbalKon.

With the NASA-pack and asteroids announced I think that this would be a fun addition: I mean, what is more kerbal than formation flying with an asteroid while attempting to take a surface sample and making sure you don't become a surface sample.
