He's inviting 6-8 artists from around the world to accompany him! Hence him buying all the seats.

Ugh, at this rate I'm gonna run out of likes before the webcast even starts.
-
Hopefully BFR will finally get a proper name this time around. The constantly-changing acronyms are getting old.
-
It's on SpaceX's official account, not Elon's.
-
Someone needs to mod this into KSP, immediately.

I remember Chris Hadfield describing a Soyuz landing as "fifteen explosions followed by a car crash". They are not for the faint of heart.

The James Webb Space Telescope and stuff
Mitchz95 replied to Streetwind's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Webb is going to be orbiting in the Earth-Sun L2 point, way beyond the range of any manned vehicle in service. A BFR could maybe capture it and bring it back to Earth for repairs, but by that point it might actually be easier to just launch a replacement (or ten) instead.- 869 replies

I can picture NASA (or someone else) chartering one and turning it into a giant probe. Manned or unmanned, it would be able to carry a lot of scientific equipment to Jupiter or beyond.

The possible future American "space force"
Mitchz95 replied to vger's topic in Science & Spaceflight
The Expanse is looking more and more plausible every day. All we need now is an Epstein drive. Remember the Cant. -

Technically not Blue Origin related, but...

I had a gargantuan collection of Star Wars lego when I was a kid. I still get new sets from time to time.
-
I spent much of today being bummed about The Expanse getting cancelled. This finally cheered me up. Mostly. Remember the Cant.

Weren't the Joolean rings included with this mod a few versions ago? Why were they removed? -
Don't think I'll be able to stay up to watch this one live. Godspeed, InSight!
-
Anyone else think of the Normandy SR-1?
-
At this point I'm half expecting them to have a warehouse full of JWSTs and SLS parts just in case something goes wrong with the "real" ones. "First rule of government spending: why have one, when you can have two for twice the price?"

Just 3-D print a new one! (You did bring a spare, right?)
