  1. Wow, this looks absolutely fantastic. Questions: - Will this feature orbital mechanics for ship movement like KSP, or will we be able to simply move ships around in a 3D enviroment? - Will the game feature a storyline, or will it be a pure exploration sandbox?
  2. Do any of these parts support KAS? It'd be cool if we could carry the little hexcans around with Kerbals.
  3. Well on the one hand, we have the possibility of a critical structural failure during re-entry, causing everything to either burn up or crash into the surface/get launched into the vast nothingness of space with no chance of survival, while on the other hand, we have the possibility of the fusion cores failing catastrophically, giving Duna a very brief second sun. I vote... aerobraking. If they die, let them have a viking burial, their ship incinerated along with their bodies.
  4. But what about the fusion cores? Or do you suggest they use RCS (if they have enough)?
  5. I concur. I really love the IVAs you've done so far and would love to see more.
  6. 1000 years later, Kerbals return to Laythe only to discover an entire ecosystem had evolved from Sid's remains.
  7. Have you done any work on the interiors of the smaller inflato module for this release or did you focus solely on the flathab?
  8. Don't forget to add marvellous interiors made of fine oak, coated with velvet and adorned with spiffing brass ornaments for maximum steampunk. Also exposed steam pipes.
  9. I shall keep my eye on this and the results. I do agree the Poodle needs to see more use in my space program, so I'll see what will come out of this.
  10. Wow, that shuttle looks... well, sexy to put it in one word. Keep up the great work
  11. Yes, the Merlin 1D has the biggest TWR of any rocket engine to-date, if I recall correctly. It's also supposed to be the most efficient gas cycle engine burning kerosene ever built.
  12. I understand that the v1.1 only increases the payload to orbit and makes the entire thing more streamlined and easier to manufacture at a faster rate. I haven't found any data concerning its (possible) man-rating, so I'd greatly appreciate any info you can spare.
  13. What about the elephant in the room, Joolian radiation and Laythe's magnetosphere (or the lack thereof)?
  14. I've fixed the issue of the FPS drop. All I had to do was drop the surface detail setting to 'low'.
  15. I get a massive FPS drop whenever I leave Kerbin SOI. When in Kerbin SOI, I get 30+ FPS, but when I leave it, ithe FPS count drops to 10. Any idea what's causing this?
  16. I'd personally like to see how Stupidity and Courage affect the "stress" resource. If I recall correctly, there was an interesting system in the works. Here, I'll give you all a link: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63655-How-would-you-go-about-designing-a-Living-Space-heuristic The electricity is used to maintain the ship temperature. Otherwise, Kerbals inside would freeze while on the dark side of the planet.
  17. That looks absolutely fantastic! I can't wait to see more.
  18. Strangely enough, it did that for me also. I suppose it has something to do with the re-working of the lighting engine (I'd still like just that for vanilla KSP, by the way) but I'll be damned if I know the exact details.
  19. I think there is a bit of truth in both Jeb and Berty's argument. While it is morally wrong for USK to form a monopoly on technological advancement, it is also wrong to leave someone to their death just because it might increase chances of failure by a small percentage. Like almost everyone said, working in accordance with morality and acting out of emotion rather than pure intellect is what really makes us human (or in the case of Proteus' crew, kerbal) and it would be stupid to forget that. So in the end, while there is a bit of truth to both of their arguments, I'd have to go with Jeb because he's, well, more human/kerbal.
  20. I think there was a mod in development that was supposed to add minimum required space to long-duration missions...
  21. Amazing chapter. Also, I vote Berty to be renamed to Robo Jesus.
  22. "It isn't supposed to do that..."
