Does the EULA prohibit multiple installs on the same computer now?
Krevsin replied to a topic in KSP1 Discussion
It is on GoG. GoG does not have DRM. GoG won't have DRM. So as long as KSP wants to remain on GoG, it won't have DRM. -
Bacon cubes for that good ol' astronaut feeling.

I'd absolutely love playing a game like that.

[1.12.x] Mark IV Spaceplane System (August 18, 2024)
Krevsin replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Absolutely terrific parts, I pretty much exclusively use them for my spaceplanes now. Although I'm wondering, are you planning on making a shorter cockpit? -
You're welcome. I find your particular rendition of kerbal society (or perhaps I should use the plural) a very interesting one to read about.

I had some spare time today and I decided to do a little bit of fanart. Here's my rendition of a Kermol: http://imgur.com/vnu2uSW I don't think this is the best work I've ever done, but I hope you like it.

Is there a version of this mod that supports the near future pack fuels? -
[1.0.5] Snacks! Kerbal simplified life support v0.3.5
Krevsin replied to tgruetzm's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well, take your time. It's better to have a functional mod late than a broken one quickly. -
The 0.25 Waiting Room, now boarding passengers heading to Hypetown
Krevsin replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What if the greatly anticipated secret addition is little hats for Kerbals? *gasp* It all makes sense! KSP shall engage in glorious battle for the prestigious position of world's #1 Hat Simulator! Very dapper. -
This concept reminds me of one of the soviet mars mission concepts. Also, it looks teriffic.

[1.0.5] Snacks! Kerbal simplified life support v0.3.5
Krevsin replied to tgruetzm's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I agree with passinglurker, the multiple stage snack deprivation seems a bit too complicated. -
[1.0.5] Snacks! Kerbal simplified life support v0.3.5
Krevsin replied to tgruetzm's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I respectfuly disagree with Whyren's suggestion, as I think that what tgruetzm is simple enough and does not complicate the mod in any meaningful way. Quite the opposite, I think it creates a very interesting dynamic which instead of simply turning snacks into what electric charge is to probe parts gives them a unique flavour which separates the manned and unmanned command modules in an interesting way instead of simply making them the same but in a different packaging (a problem which I have with most other life support mods out there). However, I do agree that an option for perma-death would be good. Not as an in-game choice, but as an alternate mod configuration with a different download. -
[0.24.2] EZ-Snack Oven - Snacks! for MKS [0.1.0 - 2014.08.29]
Krevsin replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Excellent mod, thanks a bunch, RoverDude! Now a quick question for the more MKS-savy: which parts do I need to remove to be rid of all the unneccessary life support modules? I don't like my parts windows getting cluttered up by parts I don't use. -
Ooooh, shiny. If I'm reading this correctly, it's essentially a Mars Direct type mission. I was mostly talking about their ordinary spaceplane (tbh, I kinda got the idea for it from The Rocket Company, a book I'd recommend if you're into designing reusable spacecraft) because I am not partial to SSTOs and do not really know the ins and outs of designing one. Still, an impressive design.

I've wondered a bit about the heat shielding. There's a relatively simple (if a bit massive) way of doing it. Basically, have the thermal protection be a big heat sink (it's metallic in nature) and run some piping which sprays water onto it and have the resulting steam vented out the back. Yeah, you'd need a fair amount of water, but it's non-ablative (you only need to refill the water tanks) and the amount of water can be lowered significantly if the heat sink is good enough. An extra layer of ceramics on top of the heat sink would also help a fair bit, especially if it's super-nano-carbon-tube-stuff (great thermal insulation properties, better than the Space Shuttle tiles).

Nice. Is there a version of MKS/OKS which uses Snacks instead of TAC in the works? -
[0.90.0] Fine Print vSTOCK'D - BETA RELEASE!!! (December 15)
Krevsin replied to Arsonide's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have just spent half an hour getting a satellite in a perfect polar orbit. Only then did I realize that the orbit was supposed to go in the other direction. Great mod, I love it! -
New loading screens from Squad
Krevsin replied to czokletmuss's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I concur with the OP and the idea of a "polish" update. It'd be nice to have the game polished a bit before continuing with the breakneck pace of innovation. Just as a breather, for the devs and us, the players. -
Interesting, thanks. I'd love to see some badguy LL concepts.
-
I'd actually like to know more about this fictional Space Program. Does any side posess a moon base? I'd expect the badguys to have one as it seems more in line with their way of doing things.

These look absolutely spiffing.

I'm thinking of adding this to my modlist, but I have a question: Does it add the markers for normal/antinormal and radial/antiradial?
