  1. Hmm, remember that each object can only have one UVMap (material?) so if your new mesh merged in with a different one, it will be ignored and thus invisible.
  2. Unless you're already very competent with Sketckup, you would be better served to download Blender (its free!) and start learning with it - Blender's 3d models are natively the kind that Unity/KSP needs, whereas Sketchups are converted during export and if you don't do things a certain way when modeling, they will not export in a usable way and you'll end up redoing them in another program anyway.
  3. That was an asteroid (25143 Itokawa) - Hayabusa observed, landed and returned samples to Earth during a roughly 7 year mission.
  4. ...pink? Can you show me a screenshot of what you mean? There are no pink tanks.
  5. Doesn't that just leave the fairing there visible all the time?
  6. The fairing activates when the node it is configured for is attached to something (typically the _bottom node, which is why it says 'bottom' You'll need to create a dummy node named something like node_stack_dummy and set it so that its above the bottom node (so parts don't snap to it easily. Then change modulejettison to point to "dummy" instead of bottom. If the node you specify doesn't exist, the module freaks out and the whole part breaks; if you just remove the module then the fairing is always visible.
  7. We'll likely never know, but there are scenarios where the overnight wait could be a contributing factor - if it were a failure in or near one of the fuel valves or regulators then any extended pressurization or fueling/defueling could have stressed the part into failure. Lots of other failure points probably would have occurred either way. Again, its just an intellectual exercise; but if the delay did affect it, our intrepid boat captain could face more consequences. At the very least, he should probably be thankful they did halt the launch to protect him - maybe the failure occurs differently one day earlier and it lands on him? In any event, its a huge mess.
  8. Sweet! This is most welcome. Please view this image of a cute puppy as a representation of our thank-fullness:
  9. Following on to that thought though, it would be nice to see a sorted list of Last-Updated mods (like the Newest list, but by updated time instead) Optionally there could be a filter checkbox "Show only mods I follow" (which would work on the Top list as well) It would be prone to abuse I suppose, but it'd be pretty obvious in the version history, so moderation can handle it I think
  10. It's definitely a IMGUR issue, its happening on the forums too, and its browser (and version) dependent. Happens to me on Firefox (v34 beta) They updated something a few days ago and broke it.
  11. No, haven't messed with the bigger parts yet. I disabled the gimbal on that engine for... some reason. Don't remember when or why.
  12. Yeah can definitely tweak the M50s stats, was way last minute config-wise. I think it also needs better sounds and FX - I used the FX from the big NASA engine and it sounds way too... polite.
  13. A better solution might be allowing multiple files per project on KerbalStuff - its something I would possibly use for Novapunch too by splitting up the large pack into smaller chunks, would also allow things like alternate configs, skins, compatibility downloads to also be hosted in a separate file.
  14. NovaPunch 2.07 is now available on KerbalStuff (dropbox mirror uploading) Only new addition isn't really new; the M50 has returned from early retirement. No tank butt (you're welcome Nathan ) Changelog for 2.07 ------------------------ Updated part scaling on several parts broken by the fix in KSP 0.25 Added new images for the Contract Agencies. Thanks to several individuals who submitted them. Reworked and added the M50 Rocket Engine as a heavy-lifting 2.5m rocket engine. As always, find bugs or balance issues. Especially check out how unlocking parts in career more feels with the new difficulties in place.
  15. Ran out of time; I found that the Matriarch was also out of scale. I also took the time to finish implementing the M50 engine again - it's a 2.5m engine slightly more powerful than Mainsail for now, we can visit balance again after some testing. Tested out the crafts and re-saved the broken ones. Agency icons implemented, so should be able to pack and release it tomorrow, early afternoon hopefully.
  16. Yeah, when its 4AM random things are likely to get typed, heh. So, I have fixed the following parts (converted away from rescaleFactor to regular MODEL/scale) 0.625m SRB and PAM SLS Liquid Booster SAS Modules SRB nosecones (both kinds) Fairing noses, half noses, walls and half walls 1.25m Launch Escape tower I went through the rest of the parts and didn't see any more affected. If I am missing some let me know ASAP. There are other parts with rescale active, but they aren't bugged for now. Also I am inclined to leave all the entryCosts as-is since money isn't an issue usually, and they were all pretty close to stock. Barring any issues, I'll finish up the agencies tweaks and have the update out tomorrow.
  17. We'll see what I get done later on today (after I sleep and do all the other things)
  18. Yeah I sort of understand it, my trig is a little rusty. Its murky with the shuttle body having lift too, but an approximation could be arrived at I think. Lots of re-balance would have to be done too to make it FAR compatible, assuming it could be setup to actually re-enter without exploding. It's a "someday" project right now, unless someone wants to do it - would probably use MM to set it up so the main install just detects if FAR is there.
  19. Next up: Can we land a modified Moon on the surface of the Sun?
  20. Yeah they fixed the rescalefactor bug it seems, so anything with model nodes and rescale will need a config edit to remove the weird division going on. Anything else weird?
  21. Well then. TheShadow: nice, I like the quivering rocket effect there, much wobble. The TD logo doesn't fit in with the others, many points for effort though. sumghai: That one is excellent, I could see that being a logo for a real company. Now I'm gonna have to ponder them over because I also really like the updated one by therealcrow too. Entries for this are now closed (unless you have secretly been working on one and are pretty much ready to submit it within a day) - Thanks to everyone who made images. I'll post the final lineup after I decide. If you want something in trade per the 1st post, start pondering your requests.
  22. Of the TD images I like the big one without the vertical bar the best. The Wobbly Rockets image is definitely the best one though.
