  1. Python is meh at best for doing online things. I've never gotten it to work, but have seen examples of internet-enabled code. I'd suggest Java. Java has very convenient tools that grab stuff from HTML. Problem is, I don't know how to program in Java.
  2. Well, I find that I like metric for working with numbers and imperial for working with people. It's easier to say you're a foot from something than 30.48 centimeters. And it's easier to put 30.48 centimeters into the calculator than it is to put 3/16ths of an inch.
  3. Neither system is better or worse, really. It's the conversion from one to the other that gets ya. So yes. Or the rest of the world could adopt the imperial system of measure.
  4. Well, I'll tell you this: they usually fail in two places. The first is a few minutes after launch. The second is a few minutes before mission completion. Guess which is more annoying.
  5. The 2.5 meter decoupler is WAY too big. I feel it should be scaled down a bit. As for an art pass, at least the Command Pod Mk2 should get one. It's a bit ugly. In the long run, all the textures should be updated to give a more consistent feel. This mash-up of textures was covered in one of bac9's blogs, you can read it HERE. When he made the new KSC buildings, he made sure to keep the textures simple, and consistent between buildings. For parts, perhaps they should not be simple textures (who doesn't love a little detail-work), but they should all have a consistent art style. Right now you've got parts from old Kerbal Space Program, parts from the newer versions, the ARM parts, Porkjet's Spaceplane Plus parts... it's a lot to take in. Not that any of the parts look "bad": it's that they do not mesh together well.
  6. Might we move on from the subject before the thread derails? Speaking of derails, how many do you mods see/prevent every day, more or less?
  7. What HP laptop do you have? I've got the HP Pavilion, and it's decent. i7 processor, 2.8 Ghz. Welcome aboard, KingBloops!
  8. Hey, it's-a my job. I do like the image though; no seams, good lighting. EDIT: Are they floating? They shouldn't be floating.
  9. He's off saving the Forum from the Weeping Angels. Hmm... Sal_Vager?
  10. Agreed, it looks like it never should have made it to Mun. One does not simply put an entire rocket halfway into the Mun's surface.
  11. Well, it was supposed to work like that, but at the moment Kerbals can be transferred through struts, let alone the tiny docking ports. I haven't noticed much else... though the unshrouded solar panels do not give a warning as to their lack of retractability.
  12. Yep, that's how they work when you allow them to do pitch/yaw control. I love how the outline changes shape to keep the craft stable.
  13. A few minutes in the pilot's seat of the Dawn Racer ought to shake things up a bit for you guys.
  14. What's it like to pilot the Dawn Racer? Well, now you'll know! Take a look at this video (Sped up to account for lag; this is the actual speed of the Dawn Racer. I was surprised myself!) and tell me what you think!
  15. Murphy's Law would like to have a word with you. KSP in a nutshell.
  16. Yes. Look at this: Back when that "Destroy Green Iron Crown" thing was around, people were a bit too happy to just randomly give out rep, and it felt really bad. (Also, good god, I had 282 points back then?)
  17. This. Then there are the "claims" (not really, just a typo) of having 1.2.0. Getting "Kerbal" and "Kerbin", or "Kerbal" and "Kerbal Space Program" mixed up. Jeez, the message gets warped beyond belief sometimes.
  18. Wait, what? He pulled this out of a kerbal?! I like it.
  19. HOLY CRUD! Nice one! So what's next, someone finds a J-2 engine in their shed? XD
