K-29B bomber + Y-38 fighter (stock props)
Ravenchant replied to sgt_flyer's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Stock...props? Wow. This is incredible! -
Oh, how I hope you are just messing with us.

Gazirana pijaÄÂa (carbonated beverage) for softdrinks or just by the brand name. Carbonated water is either "mineralna" or Slatina/Radenska for two well-known producers.

I made some progress with the preparations for my Jool-5 mission- tests of the Laythe habitat module were successful

Speaking of motherships... I'll probably melt my CPU with this once the cargo hold is full. -
Bogatyr-2 "Swansong" cargo spaceplane (3 models!)
Ravenchant replied to Ravenchant's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Holy crap, people, thanks for all the reputation! -
Hey there! I spent more time than I care to admit building and testing it during the past few days, but the Swansong unmanned cargo SSTO is ready to be unleashed upon unsuspecting customers flown In total, three models eagerly await your clicks and impressions. All are powered by 2 Turbojets + 2 RAPIERs and have good RCS controllability. Why was the name Swansong chosen, you ask- doesn't it sound a bit too high and mighty for this...thing? Because their Mk2-sized cargo bays are going to become obsolete the moment 0.25 comes out, that's why. And of course I had the bad luck to start building just before the coming integration of Spaceplane Plus was announced. Oh well... =P 2-7C (center) - general purpose version Also available as subassembly! This would be the only version if I could stick to a plan for once. It can put a bit over 3 tons to LKO- I managed 3.4t to a 200 km orbit, but the return was a close call. The top of the cargo bay detaches (action group 4) and can reattach after cargo is clear of the bay. Be sure to enable fuel flow from its monoprop tank! 2-4D (to the right) - resupply version Meant for, well, resupplying stuff. Stations and similar. Its cargo bay can't open and lifting capacity is diminished to 2 tons, but it has more monopropellant and an easily-accessible docking port (toggled with [4]) 2-8S (to the left) - science version Just in case you have missed a biome or two in the mad climb towards tech tree completion, this plane boasts 3 full science complements in lieu of empty space. Accelerometers are missing- but what good do they do in space anyway? How to use: Climb steeply to 20 km, level out and continue climbing upon reaching about 1100-1200 m/s surface speed. Switch RAPIERs to closed cycle mode (2) once they are starved of oxygen and pitch up to ~30°. When the turbojets are close to flameout, shut them down (1), close intakes (3), level out again and burn until apoapsis is at desired altitude. A word on airhogging There are a few more intakes than you can see from the outside. I'm so sorry... nah, not really INB4 "no pics no clicks": 2-7C in profile Open cargo bay The inside locked in its rear position 2-4D docked to a refueling station Enjoy! (yes, this is a direct order) =)

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
Ravenchant replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Er...no, it's slightly more banal. The top section has its own probe core, battery, RCS and is connected with a jr. docking port. Once the payload is unloaded, you can "fly" it back to its place -
With large skycranes, if past missions are any indication.

Ravenchant replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Sorry for spamming this thread..anyway, the plane from my previous post is almost done. I added a working (kinda) cargo bay and better RCS placement. Will put up a download link tomorrow Here is a pic of the Bogatyr 2-7C, the current iteration, flaring on landing after delivering its 3 ton payload to a 200km orbit. I daresay it looks sleek -
Congratulations on getting the deal, Porkjet! You deserve it- this and the habitat pack are among the best made, most polished mods around here *keeps fingers crossed that the payload bay gets implemented as well*
-
I never "got out and pushed" and only used the NERVA a grand total of once. Also... this is difficult to say... I don't really like adding more boosters

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
Ravenchant replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
...wow. That's big. You will probably need more than two engines for that monster On topic, I'm expanding my SSTO fleet and just managed to get this one into a stable orbit. It needs a few tweaks before releasing, though. EDIT: I managed to make it look a bit sleeker and drop the canards. Pretty sure this is my least awful plane design so far. -
SSTOs! Post your pictures here~
Ravenchant replied to KissSh0t's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
My first in a while, it's easy to forget what a pain it is to design a useful SSTO in the stock game. Sokol 2 - it can bring 1 Kerbal and about 2 tons of cargo to orbit. The payload bay is only meant for 1m parts, though -
[showcase] Post your .24 re-usable designs here!
Ravenchant replied to LvL's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Simply beautiful. Anyway, first reusable 0.24 design: the Kentaver flyback booster is a success! As it's powered by a mainsail/rapier combo, it's fully capable of semi-long-range atmospheric flight, but it can only take off vertically. Here's an earlier version detaching the (also reusable) second stage. Only the fairings and interstage are dropped during flight. -
Mk2 cockpit is ugly
Ravenchant replied to theflclguy's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
As long as no fedoras are involved... shudders I just hope to see the mk3 part series overhauled. The new mk1 is very nice indeed, but that's the one that needed an update the least. -
I converted the upper stage of my M-SA lifter into a makeshift fuel depot. Roughly 28 tons of LFO and 3 tons of monopropellant once in orbit.
-
With probes and/or rovers, I've been everywhere except for Tylo (orbiter + impactor only) and the Sun. As for manned missions... 3 Duna landings, 1 Ike landing and an Eve flyby. I'll try to fix this soon though.

Raven's mission reports (pic heavy!)
Ravenchant replied to Ravenchant's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I searched the forums for someone named Reese before typing the name into google and finding out it's apparently a candy producer. Huh Anyway. The last mission was something different- the Kerbals tried to get a satellite and lander to Duna with a...rather small budget. So the Sonda-2 was launched, on top of a Perun 001. Probably the tiniest working launcher I ever built! -
Yes! They're beautiful- thank you so much for updating this

Il-2 1946 represent! I rarely play it anymore, though. But if I want to fly, it's either that (online) or FSX.
