  1. Any improvements to make docking aless buggy experience?
  2. Are we getting rotors in this next update?
  3. I built a two seater aircraft. One of the seats was the lander can. I flew there and parachuted the plane into the nearby lake, and then drove it to the site.
  4. don't worry skynet said AI is okay
  5. Pressing the default key for rcs toggles both rcs and crew lights. Rebinding the key to a different key still gets the same bug. Somehow R controls both rcs and crew light. Restarted game bug remains. Rebinding doesn't help whatever I bind to rcs it still toggles both.
  6. I've been looking for a mod like this a long time, thanks !!!
  7. I landed. Shouted hooray! Rocket tipped over. I learned how to take back off by pointing rocket up the slope and launching over the peak of a nearby hill.
  8. link to video of this dropship http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/111607-DS-2-Mun-Landing
  9. Test mission with my new drop ship. - - - Updated - - - This ship is all stock parts, but I am using kerbal joint reinforcement
  10. Its ssto launch on kerbin. need refueling in orbit which takes ages because its 1130 parts unloaded. Nukes give it enough delta v to go anywhere, but depending where you go you may need a fuel depot in orbit at the landing planet. It can also lift 100 tons worth of cargo.
  11. The flying box/dropship in the background brought all modules. The dropship has to cargo floors with working elevator and door. All stock parts, but kerbal joint reinforcement is used to keep struts down. Video coming soon!
  12. I hear the sound of galloping koconuts.
  13. 400+ parts. Its about complete, beginning work on building a ship around it next
  14. There is some mods installed, but the elevator itself is stock
  15. KAS is installed , but purposely just using stock parts to see if it can be done
  16. Little hard to get it to redock, but with refinement i think i can make a working elevator to deploy and pick up vehicles on surface of planets using this concept.
  17. This is the biggest station I've built that hasn't Krakened itself apart. I still have more to add to it though....
  18. When i was trying to balance fuel drain on my spaceplanes i found running a fuel lines back and forth between tanks like this will cause the engine on the connected stack to drain from that stack first instead of the fuel from the other tanks. Was useful having my side jet engines to drain from their connected stack tanks first before they drained from the center forward tank that my rocket engine was attached to. Didn't have to shift the fuel or disable/re-enable tanks on most of my designs after i figured this out.
  19. landing legs are there in case the docking port is compromised!
  20. Grounded Space Flight introduces the interplanetary drive ring for the GSF-2 Wyvern. The drive ring is design to be launched with a Wyvern and takes a bit of skill to actually get into orbit, but is a ssto system. Once in orbit you can leave it up there to re-dock a Wyvern to. Each half of the drive ring can be controlled independently. Just undock the halves from the Wyvern and then reattach to each other and leave in orbit. You may want to reconfigure action keys to your preference. I will post a video on getting it into orbit later on after I've perfected the technique Those who want to give it a try heres the download: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxW31U5ogVX-djVySzNmcHVSdk0/edit?usp=sharing The craft file for the GSF-2 Wyvern without the ring can be found here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/53618-GSF-2-Wyvern
  21. GSF-2 is a two seat spaceplane able to get to orbit and then to the moon or minmus orbits without refueling. Has docking ports both top and bottom so you can attach addition fuel engines or even little landers to. Below are some pics, and youtube link to show you how to get it into orbit. http://youtu.be/R37_FoXXCck Download craft file here: https://mega.co.nz/#!GIVyCR7Z!HoeTUkPuGDigbEGYf08ZRABB45RkF4Tv5rsp7mUe9yw or Here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxW31U5ogVX-djVySzNmcHVSdk0/edit?usp=sharing Action Keys: 1 = Inside Turbofans 2 = Outside Turbofans 3 = LV-N engine 4 = 48-7S Engine 5 = Intake Group 1 6 = Intake Group 2 7 = Intake Group 3 8 = Intake Group 4
  22. Single seat SSTO if flown properly during ascent can reach the mun orbit. If refueled once in orbit it can land on Mun or Minmus and return. Tested to land on Kerbin with 1/4 or below fuel left. GSF-1 Gliding Rock Specifications: 4 Turbofans engine 1 LV-N engine 8 48-7S engine 1 Docking port RCS System Action keys: 1 Inside Turbofans 2 Outside Turbofans 3 LV-N 4 48-7S 5 Intake Group 1 6 Intake Group 2 7 Intake Group 3 8 Landing Legs Ascent Profile: Turn on Turbofan engines close first 2 intake groups, open as necessary Pitch to 70 degress after take off Pitch to 45 degress at 7000m Pitch to 30 after 12000m Pitch 20-15 after 18000m Begin to pitch up at 21000m Shutdown outside turbofans when intake air is under .40 turn on LV-N Keep pitching up till 45 degrees Turn on 48-7S and turn off inside Turbofans as intake falls under .15 Raise AP above 50km and begin to slowly pitch forward to 30-35 till AP reaches 70km I usually shutoff 48-7S as AP climbs above 55km If all goes well you should arrive in orbit with just under half of total fuel. Here is the craft file: https://mega.co.nz/#!2BlBGCoK!R_VkhD4cJptDZhePJJPRbWu89Ap4bc5mZRAd7XoWN_g
  23. I modified it and tried LV-909 and those little rockmax engines. I couldn't make orbit with either, but I can consistantly get the nuke engine into orbit. I may just be piloting it wrong though.
  24. For some reason it always shows a little intake air when scoops are closed, not sure why. The engine is inline with center of mass. I just tilt the plane forward as i burn to circularize
  25. I wanted to have a nuke engine on a small spaceplane. So i tilted the nuke engine downward. Gets into orbit just fine.
