  1. Do you have kerbal alarm clock installed? I had the same happen when I had it installed.
  2. The habitation and lab modules of my KSO asteroid base are placed. Took me 4 hours real time to get the asteroid in place. It's in a 300 Km orbit.
  3. I'm allready constructing a base on a class C asteroid. It took me several hours to get the damn thing in an orbit the KSO can reach . Those rocks don't move easy, I don't look forward in tackling a class E asteroid.
  4. You can use parts of MJ to rendez-vous with asteroids. Like matching planes. Once that is done you have to fiddle with the maneuver nodes to get an intercept and when you have it MJ can burn it (about a 10km max incounter). If you can get that part out of the way you can use MJ rendez-vous planner to get closer and match speed. Maneuver nodes are a bit better now, you can make minute ajustments when you scroll on those markers and you can add or detract extra orbits too. But MJ is mostly useless to fly an asteroid once you got it, especially the big ones. I did a class C and every time I did a new maneuver I had to redock to it so the center of mass was inline with the node. Hope this helps.
  5. Works fine as far as I know. I'm using it and no issues.
  6. Yes that's possible, I've done that myself without the KAS struts.
  7. I tried out build 198 but everytime when it goes into timewarp for executing a maneuver node it snaps out of timewarp and the ship is unable to move. And after a few seconds the ship blows up. Edit: It wasn't Mj, it was kerbal alarm clock. I installed them at the same time so didn't think about it being responsible.
  8. You mean the vanilla joint reinforcement or the mod? I would think with the vanilla additions one doesn't need the mod anymore. I found a few mods that aren't working either. Remotetech and Mechjeb being the major ones I normaly wouldn't play without.
  9. Mod compatibility is the only downside of a new update. Hopefully the mods get updated soon. Many of them are essential for me.
  10. Anyone know if KSO is compatible with ARM pack?
  11. This looks amazing. Keep up the amazing work.
  12. Are you still able to carry a usable payload with this ring?
  13. I've done 9 tons, 3 aux fuel tanks. 2 to drop off on a station and one I used. Did you use an aux tank?
  14. True plus not every piece of a station can fit in the shuttle, like the new hub. Or one of the truss pieces with solar pannels attached to them. But personally I prefer launching the majority of pieces with the shuttle but I don't use FAR so landing for me isn't as difficult.
  15. Shuttle launches do take more time but they are more fun to do then rocket launches. And indeed like you said it's the best crew transfer vehicle. Also it's fun to use to resupply space station.
  16. Looks very intresting, what other payloads did you have in mind if I might ask.
  17. Just until the ARM pack is released, with the improvements to attachment node strength things will get more stable .
  18. Also I've found that if you launch into an orbit of 80 km (with an optimal ascent path) you will only use the fuel in your big orange tank, even if you are carrying a full load in your shuttle.
  19. My Mun kethane station. The KSO brought the pieces up to a staging station in HKO where a tugg brought them to the Mun.
  20. My thoughts exactly. I've been tinkering with an interplanetary craft using mostly KSO parts, all that's lacking is a good cockpit .
  21. Earlier someone posted that if you put a 3rd OMS engine on the shuttle it would reduce the node dancing. I've tested this out and it works pretty well, it's not perfect but a big improvement over only 2 OMS engines. If you increase the tolerance in the maneuver planner to 0.5 you'll have almost no node dancing. Also you have to disable the trim on the engines.
  22. The node dancing is a known issue, what helps is in maneuver planner set the tolerance from 0.1 to 6.0. Your burns aren't as precise but it improves the node dancing.
  23. Jeb doesn't need the laws of physics, he makes his own laws
