  1. Undock them all, thrust away to like 20 meters or so, then accelerate as much as possible with RCS and try slamming them together at 1 - 2 m/s. When they bump together, keep thrusting forward with RCS until the camera changes.
  2. Do a lightweight mini lander that has capacity for at least 2 Kerbals and can be remotely operated with a probe core. This is what I use to take crew from my orbiting station at Duna to my command center.
  3. So when you right click on an engine in the VAB it says Thrust Limiter 100. What does this mean and what would lowering it do?
  4. I think the leaderboards are accurate now, if I didn't list a mission for someone and you've completed it, let me know. Sirine: I would prefer if they weren't done out of order, but everyone has to do mission 1 and the shakedown run first. After that, it's acceptable to do them in whatever order you want.
  5. That was an epic mission Sensi, your rover did snap in half so I'll take 25 points off for that, but everything else looks good. Well done!
  6. Sorry this reply took so long, here's the answers. 1. Yes I did mean actually drive, but since it's a bit far, you can use a sky crane to get your rover close, like within 2km 2. Kethane is fine 3. That heat shield looks good to me, I accept multiple styles.
  7. Sorry I guess... It's a habit from being a 3d modeler.
  8. Yeah a full 5 degrees, I packed plenty of fuel so I had enough to go and get back.
  9. So I decided to do a mission out to Dres to take a break from Eve and the Jool system. I wound up finding out that I over engineered my lander, but that's ok because it was small and light anyway. Dres seems like a nice place to drop a rover with some kerbals and tool around for a bit, gravity seems similar to Mun, but I didn't check the stats. Here's a pick and video of my latest mission.
  10. Looks like the textures aren't loading properly for some reason. You're getting diffuse and specular it seems, but for some reason it's making the models transparent. It might be because you have more parts than your computer can handle.
  11. Well done on the first mission Sensi! This is a whole new shine on the word "Overkill" But it did well and I like the layout of how this thing operates. Looks like everything is done to code and thanks for doing a proper post, points look accurate, good job.
  12. I'm going to leave mission 5 up until at least one person has completed it.
  13. You could use one like this, minus the docking clamps it's 43 parts, all you have to do is add your kethane module where the lander can is. You really don't need that many engines on it.
  14. Make one without the mod part in the middle and use all stock and see if it still falls apart.
  15. You should post a picture so everyone can see the ship. Sometimes it's parts on the ship that are the problem and not SAS or mods.
  16. My science package for Eve has finally landed, they're having a great time.
  17. You can modify your ship as much as you want before the first mission.
  18. I haven't attempted to move it yet, but I'll have to be careful.
  19. After 14 launches, my Helios V orbital super station is finally complete and ready for service. Multi dock center section and 576 tons of fuel for refueling, 40 Ion engines and 12 Nuclear engines, plus one 220 power engine on the bottom.
  20. Dock the two center pieces to one long orange tank first, then align the ship to North on the nav ball to make things easier. Then align the second orange tank to North on the nav ball and then it's just a matter of aligning the ports before docking them at the same time. Do it manually with the translation controls.
