  1. IMO yes, yes, and yes. I am proudly a stock purist.
  2. Well I just got lawyered, well done Everyone has their beliefs, I am clearly in the minority here since I think any gameplay changing mod is cheating. I just like these threads in the short time they live since I can profess my view. All of us will play the way we like to play, who cares.
  3. Just because cheating is common doesnt make it right. Using mechjeb is no different than playing half-life 2 with an aim-bot. it makes it so you don't actually have to play a substantial portion of the game. Sure automation in ksp is "realistic" but its bad for gameplay, in that it takes away a good part of gameplay.
  4. "Cheating in video games involves a video game player using non-standard methods for creating an advantage beyond normal gameplay, usually to make the game easier."
  5. Yes, mechjeb is cheating. That is my genuine believe and I have the warnings and infractions to prove I have stood for that belief before.
  6. How can people genuinely believe this? Thats about what I do. I always take the stance that you cant fit 2 gallons of milk(or any quantity more than 1 gallon for that matter) in a 1 gallon milk jug.
  7. Last night I saw KSP mentioned in the comments in this video:
  8. I like to include abort systems on my rockets, to get the command module away. once it lands safely(or not) I revert anyway. just do what you do.
  9. Interesting idea, never realized the potential connection. Hopefully NovaSilisko can step in here with some official insight into Laythe's creation.

    RC Shuttle

I was cruisin' the Youtube, looking for inspiration to get back into RC planes, and I stumbled across this video. I thought you all might like it. EDIT: Saw this in the related videos. RC Buran glider launched from the back of an RC An-225. The detachment was a scary moment for the pilots, as the two craft did not properly separate. See that at 5:00
  11. I play 100% stock now, and I still get krakened occasionally. The Klaw is a big culprit, do not timewarp with a klaw. I also sometimes get problems with the utility bays, phantom torque issues. On the whole though, if I avoid the klaw and the utility bays, I can play for many hours with no problems.
  12. That's not at all fair to say. How can you load one wrong? I use it to hold goo and batteries, nothing clips, yet receive problems. Unless I missed an official memo on its proper usage? By all means if I did, please enlighten me.
  13. I have thrice received the gift of phantom torque from them, I have since just stopped using them lol
  14. Thats perfect, but I would still advise some way to warn players so they don't timewarp and accidentally kill LKO stations, or munar bases, ect, that might not have the greenhouse bit.
  15. Thats how I used to go to the mun Minmus was harder but I managed.
  16. I think that best case, we have just "snacks". All command pods have 1 month worth of snacks. No problem for the local missions. For long term I think containers of snacks would be good, for example A tank the size of the FL-R1 would last 1 kerbal a year. Then add another part, the same size as the big lab called a "green house" that can generate snacks while in space, if powered. Just as they went with the simple "Ore" instead of the very stupid convoluted mess of a tree they conceived long ago, I think simplicity would make the game-play more enjoyable. Mod it if you want it more complex. I do agree that life support should make it into the stock game however. EDIT: Also necessary I think, would be a background system that comes into play when you are time warping for long periods. If you have a base on the mun, and you warp for years, stop the warp and give a pop up warning when any craft in local Kerbin system is 1 month from running out of snacks. Give a notice when a craft in the Eve or Duna Systems is 8 months from starving. Give longer notices for more distant systems so you can either return them safely, or send a snack resupply mission.
  17. I would edit that, mods gave me a warning my early on in my time here back in '13 for an inb4 joke they thought was "backseat modderation". Just a friendly heads up mate.
  18. Just hit 6 light green bars today, doing rather well!
  19. is this not the purpose of the "engineers report"? If you use that, you admit this would not have been a problem.
  20. Oh man the military channel was also great, that brings me back a few years good times.
  21. TV these days.... Remember when TLC was "The Learning Channel" and had shows like "Junkyard Wars" and "Battle Bots" instead of "Honey Boo Boo"? The Histoy Channel has also taken a huge nosedive in quality. Educational TV programs are now a niche market, you will have to get History2, the Science Channel, or the Smithsonian channel for anything remotely interesting.
  22. Why them? Why not one to the 7 dead of Challenger, or Columbia? or the 3 of Soyuz 11? All those arguable did much more than whoever that Gus guy is. See how that can be spun? Best option is to include none.
  23. Regex is an eternal fountain of snark and sarcasm, I find it grows on you after a time, and personally enjoy it even when it is I who is disagreeing with him Tone doesn't really matter, his point was correct. No sense in ruffling your feathers over some random person in a forum.
