off topic, but OP's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_%28rocket%29 got me thinking, what kind of flight profile would be needed to do this in ksp? fly the aircraft at ~40km then get the rocket into space and swithc back to the plane before it fell below the 23km threshold? then land it, switch back to the rocket and circularize?

If you are going to buy a pc to upgrade it, build one from scratch. it sounds scary but once you dive in feet first its so easy. there's a build thread somewhere on the forums here, and i recommend "building" it on pcpartpicker.com. On that site when you select a motherboard should only show parts compatible with that board(though it would be good to double check with the folks on the build thread). once you have all the parts picked out, buy them individually on newegg or amazon or where ever they are cheapest for you. Fact of the matter is there is no miracle cheap good gaming pc, though by no means does it need to be expensive.

consider gameplay. Once i get a boatload of SCIENCE i dont want to wait a week to use my new parts, thats unfun. The important thing is to ask, "is it fun"? Does it add value to the game? I find unnecessary waiting not fun.

oh I read it as Ksp and your gamedata folder, not ksp/gamedata(as in folder location) lol my bad.

I am a tad confused here, new to KSP modding. I downloaded DR from the OP, and inside it I have the following folders: Assets Parts Plugins Sounds and then a bunch of miscellaneous config files i think. Do i drag/merge the assets,parts,plugins,and sounds folders into the base KSP folder, and drag the configs and other stuff into the gamedata folder? I really hope someone sees this soon lol, I work 3rd shift and have the night off, and I'm ready to try .90 finally

I completely understand. just adding purely graphical mods make a world of difference to me as well. GTA4, Half-life 1&2, Elderscrolls games, all can get a breath of fresh air from a fresh coat of paint. It can make it feel like a new world.
