  1. I agree, we should have a thinner version, I always use the XL thing instead of the rockomax just because of the looks, or even docking ports
  2. Not yet, but the Ares V can fit anything that isnt over 3.25 meters diameter, so I guess I could give it a try. The only issue would be part count, the launcher itself is arround 300 parts. Would be cool if I could check out your stuff!
  3. Well, someone asked me if I had moar of the constellation program crafts, and indeed I do: Ares I (With Orion orbiter as payload) Ares V (Packs quite a punch, 18000 kN of thrust at litoff, the SRBs burn for 65 seconds, while the main core stage burns for 4 minutes, the second stage is barely used at all just for circularization, now, featuring fairings that separate in two halves!) Orion Orbiter (The one in the other post is a heavier version designed for landing on big bodies.)
  4. My Ares I rocket carrying Orion spacecraft: My Duna Transfer Vehicle: Features detachable tank! Just trash it when depleted and when you get back to earth you will just need to send a new one, fully reusable ship!
  5. Here's my stuff so far: Delta IV Heavy Curiosity Rover Spirit / Opportunity Rover U2 Plane (Yes, its actually used by NASA) ESA's Automated Transfer Vehicle ESA/Arianespace's Ariane 5 Soyuz TMA Spaceship
  6. Well, after a bit of work I got something to work. Its some sort of ball that cover the whole rover why a drogue chute on top and some sepatrons to kill excess speed just before touchdown. IMO it ended up looking quite cool. Just download the Opportunity craft, already comes with the ball, no mods needed.
  7. Mmm genius! lol Altho I don't know if its fair using them and still call it "stock craft", even it being an official addon
  8. Thats basically what I've done with Curiosity, but the Real Opportunity rover had "airbags" and I can't replicate them lol
  9. I still can't get the lithobraking crap to work lol. Anyone has any ideas?
  10. I tried Lithobraking lol Hahahaha, it was really late when I posted this, and too lazy to upload it to google drive at the moment lmao Anyway, now you have them! The Curiosity comes with its Altas 5 launch vehicle. While Spirit/Opportunity come with some kind of ball that I made to test lithobraking, would be cool if someone could improve my desing here ;P
  11. You can also upload it to Steam if youre launching the game throught it PD: Nice craft
  12. You can use my ATV replica if you want I'd love to share it with these awesome launchers http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88361-Bespin-Aerospace
  13. Mars Science Laboratory A.K.A Curiosity Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1STuGqyo0wzUi1DOGJyLUtWdlE/edit?usp=sharing Mars Exploration Rover A.K.A Opportunity & Spirit Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1STuGqyo0wzeDJpM1Rncll3NGM/edit?usp=sharing
  14. Thats why I need them, I already know that they dont have a real purpose lol And I try to stay away from mods as much as I can. I did this the other day but I don't like having 8 fairing halves lol
  15. In the real shuttle these things are control surfaces that aid a lot with pitch control, I think its called body flap You should keep that part as in the first shuttle version, looks better IMO.
  16. Feel free to add that download link in the op post, its your shuttle afterall
  17. Got it to work with the newer boosters! Space Shuttle turbo V2 Edit: Images are gone 800m of Delta V at a 100 km orbit, 700 of those still coming from the orange tank Altho its quite slow during the first minute of flight, 15m/s when you reach the VAB roof height. I find it more stable than the other shuttle, this one will fly straight without any WASD pressing, just controlling thrust. Added 2 verniers at the top of the boosters to keep the vessel straight during the last seconds of the boosters burn. Instructions are: 1. Ignite main engines, 20% thrust 2. Ignite boosters, deacouple clamps 3. Once you get higher than the clamps reduce throttle a bit to keep the angle of movement pointing 90-85º upwards. 4. Activate RCS once you notice you need help to keep the ship pointing upwards once main shuttle engines are at 100%. 5. Decouple boosters once you can't compensate their force with the shuttle engines and the RCS. (doesn't matter if they are still burning, I'm 100% sure they won't break your ship as I added some sepatrons) 6. Adjust thrust and get into orbit. 7. Don't get too far from the ground, the shuttle auxiliar engines fuel won't last much if you want to deorbit from too high. 8. Land! A Mk3 IVA is missed
  18. lol I'm still messing arround with the solid boosters, 2 aren't enought but clipping 6 of them will make them blow so I'm stuck there Also replaced the frontal rcs with verniers and its quite awesome
