Quasarr Advanced Progress Division: Supersized
quasarrgames replied to quasarrgames's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
So true. I've found adding fuel tanks onto them which feed into the main engines helps a lot too. Anyways, i finally did it! I landed on the Mun! Mission 9: Mun landing What else... Oh, i also made a space station Also, i'm playing with science and funds multipliers up to 500%. It provides a career progression similar to stock -
10/10 Oh Bejaysus! Thats pure evil. I create a nuclear powered tunnel boring machine (or pay someone to let me use the space under their basement) and i plant a several-megaton nuclear weapon about a hundred meters below a major city. When it detonates, it creates a shockwave equivalent to a 9.5 magnitude earthquake. all the destruction, none of the fallout. Repeat as many times as necessary for the world powers to fall to their knees

7/10 somebodys been using the improbability drive... I tried to stick a stick into a stick and tick the stick to flick the pick on the wick, making it crick. But when the stick sticked and the tick ticked and the wick flicked, it clicked not cricked, like bricks. So i fixed the wick with my chick and hicks and we got sticks from styx to make a styx sticks flick-tick wick-brick-click-crick. Boy i got my kicks from that.

I hope i can go this time!

7/10 its big, and its got a lot of cool foldy parts, but i dont know much about it other than that Speaking of big things, did you know the ISS is about the size of a football field? Yeah, it's funny how everyone thinks its so tiny and insignificant...

@Iago has a secret plot to overthrow and ruin the life of @Othello by convincing him that @desdemona is cheating on him, via some kind of strategically placed hendkerchief

The original series tops all because of william shatner! Bob Mckenzie vs. Doug Mckenzie. Don't know who they are? Watch this!

I've been wondering about this. Should be possible to break the sound barrier by taking a 1500g weather balloon up to 30km, then firing one or two E rocket motors downward, in a small streamlined shell made of paper or cardboard. Wouldn't be a particularly useful experiment, but it'd be fun! Also, i've been pondering wether or not it'd be possible to make a homemade rocket that could get to orbit. Not with solid fuel, of course, but with liquid fuel. Apparently gasoline and gaseous oxygen can be combined into a decent fuel. With a liquid hydrogen upper stage, you might be able to get a vacuum isp in the 330s. You could weld some aluminum tanks to hold the fuel, use water cooling for the nozzle... Not sure how you'd make it able to turn though, maybe with some kind of tiny hydraulic gimballing system... Oh jeez i've started daydreaming again

A young friend of mine was conducting a behavioural experiment on Priming, and he made a survey. He needs as many people as possible to make his study accurate, and he asked me to help him, so i'm just leaving the link for it here. It's got a couple math questions and puzzles and stuff, "designed to test your thinking skills". So, yeah. If you're bored, or you wanna do a good deed for today, check it out. http://goo.gl/forms/EQUZ54V7McMOK3Dk2

How far does this mod go? Say i got 10,000 extra science, and spent it all on an Aerospike engine, could i make it good enough to, say make an Eve ssto?

@TopHeavy11, i will now prove that you are illuminati three ways: Your profile photo contains: 3 triangles, 3 corners, 2 wings, 1 circle, lots of purple (Hex code #800080) the 3 triangles have 3 sides each, plus 3 corners for the larger triangle-logo thing. That's 3x3+3=12 12+800080=800092 (product number of a Fuel Line Quick Connector made by Dorman Products) Dorman products has a stock value of $57.05 per share. 5+7+0+5=17 17 in binary is 10001... BAM! one causality of illuminati confirmed! otherwise, we can look at 3 triangles + 3 corners + 2 wings + 1 circle= 3+3+3 An equilateral triangle has 3 sides, 3 corners, and 3 60 degree angles 60-57.05=2.95 (add on sales tax of 1% and you get 3) all we're missing is an eyeball. What shape is an eyeball? A circle! BAM! Two for two! more about that circle: it's got an equation of 3.14159265 take out the 0.14159265 and you have 3 0.14159265 is about the average sales tax in Toronto Toronto has 3 Os Os are circles circles have an equation of 3.1415... The cycle repeats for infinity. They want us to be trapped, but we're not. Why? Because you are the tipper. Triangles cannot be tipped. they are the structurally strongest 2d shapes, with bases infinitely larger than their tops. Therefore the scale tips in favor of ILLUMINATI! BAM!

Naval Battle League 2016-2018
quasarrgames replied to Spartwo's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Ai Yai Yai... This turn did not go very well for me. Nine shots fired, only one hit, and it did superficial damage. Although the Eversor still has two missiles, i'm going to call forefit. There's something seriously wrong with my weapon design. Here's the download if you still want some ceremonial "victory kills", but at this point it's just adding insult to injury: https://www.dropbox.com/s/edrv36mkztt6jmr/Persistent.sfs?dl=0 Here's what happened: -

https://www.dropbox.com/s/edrv36mkztt6jmr/Persistent.sfs?dl=0 Here you go mate. Kind of a depressing first turn for me. All your ships are still in working order. I'm impressed by your armor development, @Alphasus. I've got my work cut out for me. Here's what happened: -
Naval Battle League 2016-2018
quasarrgames replied to Spartwo's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Apologies for it taking so long. I've discovered a problem with one of my ships, and i realised that with my current loadout i'd have a 20-ton advantage over your fleet, which really isn't fair, so i'm just designing a quick 15-20 ton heavy fighter to fill the gap. combined with other priorities, i should be done in less than 8 hours -
Good Job @UnionPacific1983WP. Top three is god enough for me also, i would be interested in participating again. it was entertaining

Naval Battle League 2016-2018
quasarrgames replied to Spartwo's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I had hoped i would get the first move, since you got the first move last time, and you got to pick your ships' starting positions and planet this time. Either way, i will download 1.1.3 and set up my ships now. Not a whole lot. We haven't had any major battles, but mass accelerators now work, and weapons and armor can be made out of fairings -
Naval Battle League 2016-2018

Im sorry, but i don't have any motherships/fighters that would be sufficient for that kind of battle. It will have to be conventional.
