Isn't this what conic patching is for? open settings.cfg, find "CONIC_PATCH_LIMIT", set a higher number. default is 3, mine is set to 7. Here's my question... is there EnviromentalVisualEnhancements settings for RSS for 0.25?

After a successful Apollo test flight in RSS I decided to make a lighter Lunar module and add a rover to it. 2nd test didn't get very far: O.O It's un-aerodynamic & too wide for aesthetically placed fairings. Guess i'll have to go roverless. =(

I'm working on a Lunar module for my Apollo style mission. I planned to add a rover, but the (successful) test flight has shown that error margin is VERY little o_O So I made a lighter one. But unfortunately... O_O it's un-aerodynamic, even though I added a cone on every part. Apparently small nose cones aren't enough to protect the little lander cans. Stock fairings as you may have expected, are no good. 3.75m wide KW fairings aren't wide enough, and there's no way I'm putting a 5m wide monster egg on my rocket xD Will probably have to go rover-less and call it the finished mission Well that was my report. xD

Perfectly possible in stock KSP, take example of my Jool capture, just need to catch Laythe or Tylo at their orbit's edge: No aerobraking involved. Only it's very unlikely for an asteroid to get such an encounter xD

I'm making a second attempt, this time Apollo style :] Ran some test fly-by missions, removed the soup by installing FAR, and made a more properly staged rocket. Still need to test the transfer stage and lunar module. If it works as well as intended, a rover will be added and maybe some stock fairings.
