  1. Not blind. There are no instructions to install RealEngines, it's integrated. No need to move or do anything...Think about it...if we needed one to do something to install RealEngines...wouldn't we have indicated such. IF you can't see real engines...then you have installed something that interferes with it, either by design (RftS or stock alike) or unintentionally (I have no idea).
  2. A few models have changed what engine it represents, at least with the generics. I've got a working excel list of model and represented engine, but it doesn't have stats on it yet. Honestly, if you'd want to keep the spreadsheet up to date, and leave me to the configurations itself, might be easier for both of us.
  3. Feel free, you can PM your results or send a pull request on git. The Squad and KW engines are pretty well spoken for...you could always just create a copy if you wish too. Good to hear!
  4. You are right...new engine it is...have some figuring out to do. Because that particular website is taboo here. They are not recognizing licenses and developers. Please let me know either way if it works or not.
  5. ALPHA 8 is UP! v6.0 ALPHA 8 \/ *Small batteries in squad pods *FASA updates *RealEngine updates to Squad, RealFuels, KW, and BobCat *Update to ModuleRCSFX *TACLS Config Fix *Convert UA120X to UA1204 *Mass/Thrust/Isp Fix for fairings *260/300" PLFs added *PLF Base mass fix *Better, not quite perfect thrust curves *KW Solids complete - needs better thrust curves
  6. As such that RO simply modifies parts...there shouldn't be any problems. You aren't going to ruin RO if you use it, data just might not work. I personally use MechJeb, but KER is on my list to play with at some time.
  7. Thank you for the log. That log indicated you did not follow the troubleshooting steps as outlined in the OP. I ask that you do, while I do a bit more testing on my end...and will be releasing an update of RO...standby.
  8. I'm going to ask that you follow the prescribed Troubleshooting steps found at the OP. The file is there, you've confirmed it. If you have ModuleManager, then that file should work...your log will provide if the engine is being modified or not, since it appears it is not (then that means you have SOMETHING either :FOR[RftS] or :FOR[RealFuels_StockEngines]. Following the steps at the OP will help show what and where the problem is.
  9. DID YOU READ THE FAQ??? Not my problem, for the question and the comment. AndreyATGB is right, if you aren't going to use FAR why bother with RO, seriously, why bother with RSS either. We are done here. FROM THE FAQ: Notice the last sentence with both answers.
  10. Answer is in the FAQ. - - - Updated - - - I'm asking for the link you used for the Soviet Engine download.
  11. No, it's just MM config file...doesn't matter where it's at in the RO folder. The REWORK folder is just mainly for us, but should give others the hint that whatever is in it needs reworked, trying to keep things organized. As for the engines...Maybe Dragon has already released it...if you could post the link of the file you are using that would help me out, if he has, I can work on it, that one shouldn't take long at all to update.
  12. You mean THIS one??? REWORK folder at this time...should still work with old download if you have it. Waiting for Dragon01 to release new version, which is just config changes, but will throw our work bonkers...
  13. Your CECE is still on my list:) Actually...at a point I can add it now. It'll be one of the options for the single RL-10. Hope to make another release later tonight. Ninja, GREAT, that first RSS/RO successful launch will make a persons day. At this time RO is dedicated to just getting things running the way they should and is really only supported via sandbox mode. In the future, career support will be added but that is quite literally the last thing on my list, and anything new will generally be added before it. It will be a massive project in itself. I'm personally not looking forward to that, so maybe somebody else would like to join the team and start on it. RealFuels...This should be brought up to NK (I'll send him a note to make sure) to add at least a little info on the RealFuels OP/Readme...Short answer (Service Module) is the type you want. And honestly a lot of parts that is actually not configurable. Most are set to Default I think. For the best info...in the RealFuels folder, under Parts, and Stretchy, open those and read the descriptions, should give you a slightly better idea. MJ/Engineer...This is actually part of RealFuels, per the OP..."*Engine/RCS thrust scales with Isp, just like in real life." Before thrust was always the same...and fuel flow changed as Isp changed (SL vs Vac)...now realistically thrust is now different between MSL and Vac. FWIW, MJ has a SLT (Sea Level Thrust) option which will give you, well the TWR at SeaLevel. I think that's what you are looking for. I'm not sure with Engineer as I don't use that. Thank you, and I hope my response helps you out.
  14. This is in the FAQ. Well...lets do this...create a new install of KSP...add the required items only...then add RO...making sure you properly install each into the correct folder. As for the log, use drop box or some sharing site and post a link here.
  15. No, that is the whole intent of this mod called REALISM Overhaul. It's not realistic to cram 3 people into a pod that is 2.5m in diameter along with all the other stuff needed. While I don't mind others changing things, and that is part of the license, I won't help or offer support. I've got enough on my plate updating things, I'm not going to stop every time somebody posts and wants to change something back to the way it was. It is pretty simple to use the thrust plate, and it's part of procedural parts, which is very much recommended. That said, there are the 2x1,3x1,4x1 adapters one could use as those are TweakScale enabled. I still generally test things in 32-bit, but my install is pretty bland and required stuff only, usually low res, just for speed of loading and what not. Really depends on how many other mods you have running, part packs, and how big of textures you are using with RSS. Personally, I'm using the 8K for Earth, and 2K for all the rest to keep memory requirements low.
  16. Do that have 3 resources and no module...that is a KSP bug. There are several options...convert them to use ModuleFuelTanks, remove one resource, add a module of some sort, use ModuleFixer, which by plugin adds a module automatically, so no need to edit file.
  17. @Jetwave...I'll let you know, there is NO support for career mode with RO yet, absolutely none. What I can and will tell you is that the command pods ARE NOT tweakable with RO. Default Mk1-2 is now at nearly 4m like Apollo, the Mk1 pod is about Mercury size.
  18. @Jetwave...Um...I still need more details. Give me a specific list of parts that you think are the wrong size. SRBs at least in stock have been reworked as part of RealEngines, that release may not have happened yet. As soon as I finish up these KW RealEngine SRBs soon, I'll get that release out hopefully this morning.
  19. Yes TAC Fuel Balancer works AFAIK. "smaller than normal", need some more detail here?
  20. I'll take a look at it today...I'm pretty sure what's wrong. The surface attach was removed...So the question is...should it be there...With things like the procedural thrust plate in which nodes are able to be changed and so on dynamically, I find that a much better solution, then enabling surface attachment, which if one wanted to, could throw an engine on the side of a tank. Ideas/suggestions/comments about removing the surface attachment? What do you mean resources are uneven? One resource provides 8 days of use, while another provides only 4. Or that it takes 650L of oxygen for a day, but only 3L of food for that same day? THANK YOU! Yep, DragonChutes are likely busted due to RealChutes update and we haven't gotten that far in are walk through to ensure good 0.24 capability...NathanKell has been doing a lot of work with FASA but that's due to him needing it for a competition. I on the other hand am starting with all the stock and generic and working my way into the individual packs, only fixing other things (like the bug you've gotten) when they are pointed out. I've gotten stock and ALMOST (just tweaks to RealEngine solids) done with KW, then onto RLA and NP (When that update drops).
  21. Config file, yeah, you've got the right one, I misread something, that's my fault...So let me ask again...KSP setting, the actual setting in the main general KSP settings page...is it set for Kerbin 6 hour day or Earth 24 hour day???
  22. I'm sorry, but RO doesn't touch any of that stuff. It is a part mod only. You've got an installation problem or something. Logs would help.
  23. @AlmightyR: Ok, that LS file shows you what consumption/production rates are per second....also shows your RO is out of date...need to grab the new one before you go making something...So for a days worth, multiply by that MaxDeltaTime which is the number of seconds in a day. What is the setting in your KSP set for 24 or 6 hours/day?
  24. Essentially, you can 'configure' your Life Support however you want with the RealFuel's GUI. Sure it takes a little bit of time, but it's not that bad. TANK_DEFs could work if there was a way to change tank type like in Procedural Parts. Now realistically speaking, for the most part, I'm installing by default the largest amount found in a pod that size. A mercury sized craft isn't going to get 30 days of supplies or even 7, usually pods are ServiceModule type to allow for propellant of some sort, but a person could increase life support a little bit, or of course they can make life support even smaller and add more propellant, or however they want. Thinking out loud here...what could work...is creating +/- buttons with a readout of how many days/hours of life support to be installed, of course that amount goes against a given volume for a part, but it would be an easier way of increasing/decreasing resources with more of the 'work' being done behind the scenes.
  25. @AlmightR - Not at this time. You will have to talk to NathanKell to add that feature into RealFuels.
