My VAB/SPH is a little slow to load. When it's almost completely loaded, this is the screen that it displays. Note the first two options, which appear to depict something very small, and a backwards Kerbal. And behold! Right where the Lander Can is, you've got a potato-like rock! When you're selecting the Lander-Can, you're probably selecting the thing that was briefly in that spot before the VAB or SPH was fully loaded, aka the Potato. But why is the thing there, in the first place?

The Debris Series [Now Taking Requests!]
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in KSP Fan Works
I'm thinking of using a program called 'Fresh Paint' for future drawings. It allows you to use the original image as a guideline, and I can do things in it that just aren't possible in pencil. Kobymaru's Drawing: "Year 59, Day 96. After an unsuccessful attempt to create an automated lander that could withstand even Eves gravity and pack enough punch to get back into Orbit, Kerbal engineers overanalyzed the failure to such an extent that they were absolutely confident that they fixed all of the problems. Thats why the next mission that went down well was manned by one couragous little Kerbal, called Jonemy Kerman. After mounting the monstrosity, he descended down to the ground and landed safely. On the way up however, he plainly ran out of fuel - probably because of the too low TWR. He plummeted down and managed to land roughly but alive back on the surface. At the moment, he is waiting for his permantent temporary new home, the caravan to arrive. What a brave little Kerbal." So, whaddaya think? Do you prefer this style of art, or the normal black-and-white pencil stuff? -Upsilon -
This Christmas, Give the Gift of Reputation.
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in The Lounge
Hey everyone! It's wonderful that you're sharing +Rep, as well as compliments for other players. This Forum is a great place. That being said: I thought I stated clearly enough that there was no need to give Reputation to me: ...and yet, I return to the computer and a lot of people have given me +Rep. Come on, guys! Anyways, Merry Christmas, and thanks for tagging along with this idea -Upsilon -
Gorgeous. Maybe this should be in the Fan Works section though. Do you know what type of paint was used, by the way?

Hi everyone! It's time for the holidays again. Whether you're celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, 'tis the season to be generous and kind. I propose that on this Christmas day, as many KSP fans as possible try to give at least five Reputation "presents" to other Forum-goers who they remember as being helpful over the past year. If you want to give more, there's nothing stopping you If you do decide to give the gift of Reputation, please list the people you gave your "presents" to below, as well as a brief reason for why you gave them the +Rep. I'll start. I gave +Rep to: >Tw1, for being a great Forum member. I feel a little guilty about the fact that in spite of all his wonderful projects and parodies, I have never given him +Rep... until now. >Xacktar, because of the fact that he may well be the funniest single Forum-goer out there. I don't think I ever gave him +Rep, either. >zekes, because I wanted to give him +Rep for his massive Shuttle and never ended up doing so. >Red Iron Crown, for obvious reasons. He's a huge help with, well, everything. >KerrMu, because his builds are astoundingly good. He doesn't post often, but when he does, it's always spectacular. >Nassault630, because in spite of his astoundingly good cinematics, he only has two bars of Reputation so far. >HatBat, for similar reasons. Thanks for doing what you do, HatBat! Oh, and no need to give Reputation to me. I'm happy with the amount I have. Happy Holidays to all! -Upsilon

Isn't Holiday Cheer better when it's Fun-Sized? Presenting: The Pico-Sleigh! Powered by monopropellant and borderline stable, the Pico-Sleigh's diminutive size is just enough for delivering a few small presents and returning home! It features a full eight reindeer, a Semi-Explosive Way of Landing (with optional abort system), and patented Near-VTOL Technology! Oh, and Jeb seems to enjoy it a lot. Pictures! Front view. Look at those somewhat-cute, diminutive reindeer! Top view. Jeb... er... Santa is an excellent pilot. Which is needed, because this thing is unwieldy. ~~~ Video! Here's my Bagel-Rabbit Holiday Special, which features the craft in flight, though only briefly! ~~~ I don't want to release the .craft file until tomorrow, because I don't want to give out presents early (and the craft is still quite wonky and needs a little more attention), but I hope you enjoyed this thing! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! -Upsilon

Stock Santa Sleigh
BagelRabbit replied to CallisTrOn Entertainment's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Not small enough, and needs more reindeer, but nice job otherwise! Merry Christmas! -Upsilon -
Hey everyone! It's time for another Inevitable Christmas Special! This is kinda self-explanatory, so I'll stop writing and just post the video. Thanks for watching, and have a nice day

I'm working on something, stay tuned

[11/26/15 Update] Say Hello to the Light-Green Group!
BagelRabbit replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Look, Mom! I have a meme! Light-Green Group has been updated. SQUAD and its associated accounts are still at the top of the list but are no longer numbered. In addition, I indicated which members of the community had two, three, four, five, or six light-green bars. I'm number 12 on the forum right now. That's actually really scary. Sorry for the wait. Let me know if I missed anything! I'm sure that there's a typo or two that I may not have weaseled out -
Christmas cinematic/forum present coming tomorrow. Be watching!
BagelRabbit replied to HafCoJoe's topic in KSP Fan Works
Awww, Avera9eJoe. My heart is melting Looking forward to your Christmas gift! I may give one to the Forum as well... we'll see. -Upsilon -
Wee Shuttle: Smallest Space Shuttle Ever?!
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I just stole "borrowed" your general Shuttle design... and it actually seems to work pretty well! The craft I ended up building was not only orbit-capable, it actually had better Delta-V margins than its earlier predecessor. That being said, despite my best efforts, it's not as cute or even as good-looking as the old Shuttle. At least the External Tank is closer to the right color. Pictures! ~~~ The Even More Wee Shuttle launches. There's no part-clipping on the boosters or the External Tank, which means that this thing is being propelled upwards by a truly small amount of fuel. Here's the External Tank separating. After it does so, the Orbiter still has some obscene amount of Delta-V left in it (over 700 m/s, I think). After a full 70x95km orbit, I had plenty enough fuel to deorbit. Notice the docking port on the front, by the way; I wanted the Wee Shuttle to be capable of at least docking in space. As with the old design, a small parachute allows the craft to land intact. The Even More Wee Shuttle is a bit finicky in the lower atmosphere, but it glides well and is capable of landing safely every time (so far). ~~~ Anyways, I'm going to try to make the ascent a bit more stable and make the Shuttle a little cuter before giving the .craft file, but this is really promising. -Upsilon -
Made My Own (not-KSP) Short Film! [EDIT: It's OUT!]
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in The Lounge
Yeah, I tried to make this thing noteworthy and unique, and I think it worked out reasonably well. It's actually my Spheres of Legend song slowed down 400%! In other words, the music has something to do with KSP, at least... This story was deliberately set in a 'small' universe: the entire universe consists of what the ice-cream cone knows. If the universe was expanded, in this case, I feel like much of the magic would be lost. I am never going to make a sequel for this thing, even on the off-chance that it does go viral. It simply would not work for this type of film, in my opinion. Yep, I have subscribers on YouTube who are really not used to stuff like this, and wasted no time in telling me how very odd it was. I'm actually quite shocked that none of them 'Disliked' the video, yet. I can see where you drew that connection! Actually, I haven't watched Salad Fingers in years, and (this is actually pretty scary) everything in this little film came out of my own head, I think. I'm not sure where else any of this stuff could have come from. -Upsilon -
Project Arctic Film- Be Part Of Something Great
BagelRabbit replied to Vagani's topic in KSP Fan Works
Hey guys! Over the last couple of weeks, I've had to deal with school, followed by a massive feat of cinematicity. You can see it here, but I don't recommend doing so if you are expecting the film to be anything remotely normal. Anyways, this stuff has taken up a lot of my time, but I'm now more-or-less open for business, and will gladly compose/draw/script-write/build/voice-act/etc. anything that is needed So, whaddaya want me to do? -Upsilon -
The Debris Series [Now Taking Requests!]
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in KSP Fan Works
Guess what?! This thread isn't dead! It's just hibernating. I'm going to try to do as many drawings as possible over the next week or two, and I might even catch up! Here's The_Atronic_Pilot's drawing (admittedly not the best, I'm still getting back into the swing of things): "Mun 1 Debris - Year 1, Day 3, 3 hours, 34 minuets I wanted to try my hand at landing on the Mun, but I had no Idea how to actually get there. So I let MechJeb fly me there and when It was time to land I took over. It might have gone alright, but I was drifting at about 5 M/S and, long story short, I fell over. Not technically debris, since I can still control it, but I don't have much use for it, so I renamed it as debris." -The_Atronic_Pilot ...and here's a little something I made in about fifteen minutes, of Mr. Bobfrey Kerman making his way back to the safety of his capsule in LKO: Anyway, I must go, but expect more soon...! -Upsilon -
Made My Own (not-KSP) Short Film! [EDIT: It's OUT!]
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in The Lounge
Thanks! I really appreciate it I should probably mention again: If you think that anyone would like this video, please share it with them! This was by far the most difficult and time-consuming film I've ever made, and I feel as if it deserves a little recognition. (Especially since YouTube is notoriously fickle when it comes to which videos get loads of views, and which ones don't.) -Upsilon -
Soundtracks & Epic music
BagelRabbit replied to Rdivine's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Aw, thanks r4pt0r! Yes, I am going to develop the music a bit more, although I don't want it to overtake the game instead of just supplement it. Sorry for not getting more of these songs done by now. I've just had a lot of side projects going on. -

BagelRabbit replied to Halban's topic in KSP Fan Works

Made My Own (not-KSP) Short Film! [EDIT: It's OUT!]
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in The Lounge
Oh my god, it's done. It's actually done. Well, not really. I would still love to tweak some things. But I've gotten a workable film out the door. Here it is. A couple of notes on this project: ♪#1: Please watch in full-screen. It's better that way. ♪#2: I still feel like it's not 100% done, but it never will be. ♪#3: It's not supposed to be funny, just a touch absurdist. ♪#4: It's full of metaphorical meaning - it's very 'deep.' I hope you enjoy this thing. -
Ask a stupid question, Get a stupid answer back.
BagelRabbit replied to ThatKerbal's topic in Forum Games!
Preferably an electric bass guitar, though a regular electric guitar will do just as well. Watch out for getting string marks on your [REDACTED] though. Is there such thing as a one-size-fits-all shoe? -
Wee Shuttle: Smallest Space Shuttle Ever?!
BagelRabbit replied to BagelRabbit's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Why must this thing be so adorable?! I don't want my eyeballs to start bleeding from the cuteness...! By the way, I'm a little worried about the efficiency of the LV-1 engines. If you do create an orbit-capable vehicle, I'm worried about the on-orbit Delta-V... ...but I'm looking forwards to seeing this fly! Best of luck. Oh, and have some +Rep! -Upsilon -
I made a reindeer a little while back... I'm thinking of hitching some together and recruiting a jolly Kerbal in a red suit It's from 0.25, but I'm pretty sure it would update to 0.90 without any problems.
-
Help! The title says it all, basically. I just downloaded a fresh 0.90 install and the new Mk3 cockpit IVAs are completely black. Everything else is working properly. Pressing "V" will (maybe) still toggle between the Kerbals' views inside, but, of course, there's no view to be had. I'm no tech expert, so I have no idea what's causing this, and whether or not others are experiencing it. Can y'all please take a moment to check your Mk3 cockpits' IVA screens? Every single other cockpit has the proper IVA, so far as I've checked (I have yet to look at the IVA for the Cupola or the Mk2 cockpits). Thanks for the help. -Upsilon
