  3. Meh... I put on a much larger tank, and pulled it off.
  4. Works for me. I am not going to attempt a return just yet, so it sounds like I have sufficient fuel. I did it!
  5. Uh... how much of those two tanks did you use to land? I just re-designed mine with one of those tanks, and four radial engines.

I can\'t land on the Mun anymore, because the one time I have finally been able to land in daylight, I use up all of my fuel before I land so I crash and everybody dies (for the fourth time since .16 came out). My only two logical conclusions that I can possibly come up with for this, is that either the radial engines that I use, consume way more fuel than I anticipated, or everything has gotten heavier.
  7. Here\'s how I get to the Mun. 1. Fly straight up until your apoapsis is a bit passed the Muns Orbit. 2. Turn your ship until you are at a heading of 270 and you are still between the blue and orange halves. 3. Once you reach apoapsis, burn until you get into the Muns SOI.
  8. Women play Call of Duty, and Grand Theft Auto, and look at how women are portrayed (if at all) in those games. Just because women play video games doesn\'t mean that the developers need to make female characters. To use a similar argument, we should have other color Kerbals, because I am pretty sure that Caucasians aren\'t the only color of humans that play KSP. Secondly, it doesn\'t add anything to the game. It is just another thing that Squad would have to make, and spend time on, when there are better things to make.
  9. You stated that Squad never mentioned that there was only one, and I said that Squad has never stated that there was more than one. I know, but I felt that if the question couldn\'t be answered, than that would give a lot of merit against feminine Kerbals.
  10. Unless the Kerbal Space Administration is sexist, there is no indication that there is more than one gender within the Kerbal community. Secondly, what would female Kerbal add to the game? It seems like it would just be a useless thing that Dan has to animate.
  11. It appears I have found fault in both lists. Two and Four are the least likely for Squad to do anything about in both situations as is, although the replies the the war movie might give insight to how people would react to combat in KSP. What do you mean by strawman anyways?
  12. Wow... I\'m surprised that they didn\'t explode from all the interactions between all the bombs on the ramp.
  13. No female Kerbals ever, and you want to know why? 1. Female Kerbal gets added. 2. 'She\'s flat, and doesn\'t look like a girl at all!'. 3. Female Kerbal is given more feminine looks. 4. 'Now she has a large chest, and that\'s obscene!' 5. Squad now has to (again) redo the feminine parts of the female Kerbal so it looks like a girl, without looking to buxom. 6. Squad eventually scraps the idea, because it is taking time away from them adding more useful features.
  14. How did you do the carpet bombing? Were they all released at once, and the bombs just slid off of a ramp to simulate a carpet bombing, or what?
  15. Highly doubt it. IIRC, the Kraken only occurs at >9000 m/s.
  16. I have successfully lifted a plane with 4 Mk. 3 tanks using a wing design made out of delta wings. This combined with the forward-most control surfaces got the plane off the ground. The plane was almost the exact same as this one.

  18. To be perfectly honest, I have wondered if somebody is going to make little guns for the Kerbals to shoot.
  19. Dieing in war seems like a better death than running out of EVApack fuel when your 200+ meters away from a ship.
  20. It works with the LFE\'s (at least the smallest of them), but the one that I used in the video seemed to be the most effective.
  21. Yea, I tried it with the smallest of the LFE, and it launched a Kerbal. It actually damaged the Kerbal about 6-8 times before launching him... those suits are tough.
  22. So... I found that Kerbals get LAUNCHED when they encounter a jet blast.
  23. Everyone is always like 'no combat is KSP!'. Seriously... THIS IS SO MUCH MORE AWESOME THAN EVEN I THOUGHT COMBAT WOULD BE! (nice designs for everything). P.S. How did you get everything to move autonomously? You make it look like this was done via multiplayer.
  24. Introduction: So you want to make a plane, but you have very poor knowledge of KSP\'s physics? Or maybe you can\'t seem to get your plane off the ground until AFTER it\'s went sailing off the end of the runway? I have been making planes for a while, and I have acquired a wealth of knowledge to get planes off the ground and in the air! Here are a few tips and tricks that I have learned. Controls in the nose: One of the most frustrating things about making planes in KSP, is that many a times, you will only get your plane off the ground, once you have left the runway, and your wings are able to pitch upwards. There is a simple solution to this problem... put control surfaces on the nose (or as close to it as you possible can). This will help life your nose up while you are on the runway, thereby allowing your wings to get the necessary angle of attack, and you will fly up into the air! (given you have enough lift to do so). Bi-planes: While it may seem a bit odd that you would want to build a bi-plane in the age of jets, the fact is, is that bi-planes in KSP allow for a high lift with a small wingspan. I personally use the swept wings as the wings for my bi-planes, but any wing design should work so long as it isn\'t really heavy, otherwise the upper wing will collide with the lower wing. No tricycle landing gear: Even though in reality many planes use a tricycle design for landing gear, it doesn\'t really work well in KSP. Reason being, is that if you try and turn at too high of a speed while of the ground, your plane... will tilt over... and crash.
