LLL - Lack Luster Labs - Development Thread
Kitworks replied to Lack's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Thanks, but that's not the one I'm having a conflict with. It's the EVE Renaissance visuals pack (well, part of it) which tweaks the stock textures and causes some conflict apparently. It's not a huge deal, there were just a couple parts from SXT I love, but I also recognize that I'm a fringe case. (95% of the problems I have in Kerbal are due to too many/conflicting mods, ha ha) -

Some do, but many just reference Squad textures. Which is a great idea... if I weren't using one of the visual enhancement mods which alters/replaces those textures, causing a weird conflict that messes up the textures both for some of the SXT parts and some stock Squad parts. Just to be clear, totally not saying this is a bug with SXT. My fault, for installing conflicting mods. I was just wondering if there existed a less streamlined, more redundant version. -

Is there a version of SXT anywhere that has the textures included? -
Congrats Porkjet! Your mod made spaceplanes workable for me for the first time, it's a great addition to stock.

[WIP] Orbital Kolonization System... it's MKS... in space!
Kitworks replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Looks pretty good! -
Think it will really fly? Looks pretty cool and cheap if they can make it work as promised... http://spaceref.biz/agencies/darpa-1/boeing-to-design-xs-1-experimental-spaceplane-for-darpa.html

The only thing that bothers me a little so far is, when charging the beacon and the jump drive both seem to float through other parts a little? Its not really an issue in orbit, but if you stack one of those on top of other parts and try to charge them on the launch pad you will quickly see what I mean. Not sure if it's intentional or not?

Its amazing how much some real concepts fit the Kerbal mentality. Definitely giving this a try.

Procedural parts mod. I think. I hadn't seen that they added life support but they have most everything else.

Not sure if its because of KSP, or because it's the only ship flying at the moment, or just long exposure... But I'm getting awfully fond of that lumpy little potato called Soyuz.

Weird - I had a little trouble with the nodes "migrating", but not enough to pose a real problem. But, relatively easy fix, no modeling required - the nodes are in the cfg. node_stack_bottom = 0.0, -0.2575, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 2 node_stack_top = 0.0, 0.2575, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 1 The second number describes the vertical distance, so find that in the part and raise it a bit, then test it in game. Probably a much easier way to do it but this is low-skill ha ha.

I was thinking along the same lines. Admittedly, a big chunk of that is I want a 1.25M docking port on the end of that lovely Fuji/Polaris Orbital module. Dgtasby, why'd you opt to only rescale the RCS struts by 1.5? Just curious. Beale, I love the Fuji. The only part that bugs me a little is how flat the heat shield is. I tried using a tweaked SDHI heat shield to get a look similar to this: http://www.shokabo.co.jp/author/8758/fujicapsuleC1.jpg I think that's too much the other way (after all it's flatness is whats cool and defining about it...), but something in the middle might be nice? Just a thought. http://imgur.com/zl4iIzQ

parts [1.2] USI Survivability Pack (Formerly DERP) [v0.6.0]
Kitworks replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
For what it's worth, I had the same problem (parachute pre-deployed), and when I checked, found that I didn't have Realchute itself installed on my test save of KSP. Grabbing the newest version did the trick. -
I like the way you think. Two rocket launched spaceplanes riffing on the X-15. http://imgur.com/a/1tNxl

I like it. Does what it says on the tin, right below the clever name. Bravo. Will check back to see about that RealChute integration, which would be nice. -
Looks great! 3000m/s is definitely a bit too much for kerbal, ha ha.

Eeeeeee. That's looking awesome. I agree that it'd be nice if they were 1.25M ports, but I see what you mean - it would look weird. I think that looks pretty cool. And somehow things not quite aligning perfectly flat just feels... soviet?

PorkWorks dev thread [Habitat Pack] [SpaceplanePlus]
Kitworks replied to Porkjet's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Porkjet, I've loved your inflatable habitats for a long time, but I've always avoided the SP+ because I've never been one for planes. But man, I was missing out! I don't know why, but your parts just make it easy. Love them.
