  1. I love the new one, but also wish we had a refined version of the old one. EDIT: a refined one that fits into a slightly different niche.
  2. With all the new aero based parts out with the 1.0.5 update, many more designs are open. I decided to make an UNconventional airliner!
  3. I like the turbine idea, however would like to see something along the lines of having its visibility toggle-able or rotatable (for VTOL purposes and such).
  4. I wonder if the visible intake fans (such as in the Goliath) will rotate?
  5. Viewed it in a remote field in the River Valley in Edmonton Alberta, and through the University's observatory! T'was quite the sight!
  6. Using infinite fuel, around 1100-1200 m/s before the end of the runway. (I believe I also ignored max temperature lol)
  7. It was also said that "(stats are subject to balancing and may change in the release version)" in the album for this engine.
  8. Looking at the new 1.1 album, I am so excited!!! Not only is there love for spaceplanes, but space shuttle designs specifically! I Really look forward to putting the Vector engines on my space shuttle, probably making things about 110% easier! Also new jet engines finally! Also also a CARGO RAMP!!! YUSSSSS! (PS: With the vector engine, I immediately thought of "We have clearance, Clarence. Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?") EDIT: 1.1 album: http://imgur.com/a/NkzMp
  9. I just don't like how on the Mun the flags sometimes point towards the hills rather than away. Usually the Munar winds tend to blow from up the hill down into the Mun valleys!
  10. Were you by chance rotating the ship or anything? I believe that as the vessel rotates about the center of mass, the command part (capsule/probe core) is some meters away, thus reading a change in Ap/Pe height, while the true orbit (in regards to the center of mass) remains unchanged. Thus, this may just be a "data reading oversight" by the mechanics of the game.
  11. As has been said here, I also agree that working within specific constraints to build a replica definitely requires creativity. It is a type of creativity that overcomes obstacles to finish with something that is not only functional, but also aesthetically accurate, especially when made to work in a universe scaled down.
  12. Death Star. No wait! death System! NO WAIT! DEATH GALAXY!!!!!!!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
  13. I say GIMME FUEL GIMME FIRE GIMME THAT WHICH I DESIRE!
  14. They kindly ask the Kraken to hold the camera steady and do a beautiful pan shot. But seriously I believe they use certain cinematic mods (both for better visuals and better camera movements).
  15. I got this beauty in LKO (Used: Texture Replacer (Rareden's Skybox), and planetshine.
  16. Overcoming both in game and self imposed challenges. eg) fitting an entire Eve orbital and landing probe under a 1.25m heat shield (despite larger ones being available).
  17. It is interesting how the moment of inertia seems to reach a certain threshold before flipping on its axes.
  18. As for my first landing, it was not a standard enter SOI, orbit, deorbit, then land. I did not know much about orbital mechanics, and thus was on a very eccentric collision course (I thought it would be more efficient at the time). I ended up doing a rather inefficient series of suicide burns. After "lithobraking too fast", I quickloaded and landed on the Mun. This was back when the standard landing legs were rather ugly, unstable, and tended to fall off frequently.
  19. Probably Bop or Pol, moreso Pol. EDIT: At least Dres gets attention based on its unpopularity
