  1. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19045 64-bit | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8) | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (8019MB) | RAM: 32683 Clicked the "Launch" button, the image of my craft started to appear on the runway, then the game froze for a second or two before crashing to desktop. First time I've experienced this. After reloading the last autosave I reloaded the same craft and tried to get it to the same runway, with the same result; crash to desktop. I reloaded the game again and this time, via the KSC and then the Tracking Station (the option to go straight to the Tracking Station from the VAB was greyed out), I went to check if the racing rover I'd left near the start of the southern taxiway was okay, it wasn't, it had vanished completely, along with its kerbal. Trying to send the same "Track Safety" craft to the runway for the 3rd time gave the same crash to desktop. Tried loading the previous autosave and then loading the same craft to in the VAB and sending it to the runway; got the same crash behaviour. Reloaded the last autosave (as in the one I'd tried initially) and then loaded and re-launched the vanished racing rover to the runway, this worked fine. Reentered the VAB, deleted the Track Safety car and workspace and rebuilt it from scratch. Produced the same crash to desktop behaviour. (On reloading I notice the game is loading into "Windowed" rather than the Fullscreen I have set as default - reset this in Main Menu settings, quit game, reloaded, now works in fullscreen - I mention this just in case it hints at a known issue). Repeated loading of the same rebuilt car, launched to the other runway; same crash. Was able to load game and launch a couple of other craft to the runway without issue. Upon returning to the VAB I now find I am unable to load the problematic Track Safety rover. I've added the rebuilt Track Safety craft that will no longer load too. (The last time I used linuxgurugamer's BugPackager - https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/KSP2_BugPackager - someone posted an oblique comment that seemed to suggest the "log" files it generated and included were of little use to someone interested in seeing what had happened. If this is the case then can someone tell me the location of the log files that may be of more use?) Included Attachments: TrackSafety.zip GameCrashedwhileloadingcraftontoRunway1_logs.zip
  2. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Ryzen 7 | GPU: RTX 3080 | RAM: 64GB The following steps are a 100% reproducable bug that can completely corrupt a game installation. Steps to Reproduce: Fresh Campaign Launch any craft Set view to "Capture" Use Keypad - to zoom out While zooming out repeatedly tap 'Keypad *' to speed up the camera Wait for a black screen Hit "Home" to reset camera Note: After these steps, the game wont load - Loading gets hung up at "Creating ViewController" (even after deleting the campaign and doing an install verification) Requires a full game and save data wipe and reinstall to remedy Anth Edit: Issue is the following: Broken GroundCameraTweakables.json: GroundCameraTweakables.json Screenshot of Broken GroundCameraTweakables.json: Video Evidence Supplied by im.Leo: CaptureCameraModeCanBrickaSave.mp4 .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  3. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win 11 22H2 | CPU: i9-13900KF | GPU: RTX 3080 Ti | RAM: 32.0 GB Crashing to desktop, sometimes just on loading, most always on revert to VAB, and occasionally directly in VAB. Had one "Craft Unavailable" game, but deleted it. Since in happened first in 1.4 campaign, started new 1.5, same results. Submitting latest crash report. Will then try moving all save and craft files out so have empty directories and see what happens. Included Attachments: crash.dmp .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  4. Reported Version: v0.1.4.1 | Mods: See Video, a Lot of Mods | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win10 | CPU: 5800X | GPU: 3070 | RAM: 64 Testing a bunch of mods (yeah I know) and it crashed at the end (and then I closed the stream). KSP2 crashes from time to time with/without mods but this time it was caught in a recording. Included Attachments: .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  5. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | RAM: 32 GB I was trying to test how effective the auto strut behavior was so I created an admittedly silly ship. Stacked 30 small short fuel tanks with a large command pod at the top and a large engine at the bottom, then hit launch. The game went to the loading screen, then never loaded into game and stopped responding. I waited over 5 minutes just to make sure it wasn't just loading slow but it never recovered. I'll include the craft file which reproes it 100% on my computer, though really just build a tall stack of small fuel tanks and this seems to occur. Included Attachments: IKnowThisIsABadDesign.json .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  6. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win11 | CPU: i9-13900k | GPU: rtx 4090 | RAM: ddr5 32gb 6400MHz when launching a vessel with (to my testing) over 60 parts (i did all testing mk1 and inline) the game freezes the frame it transitions out of the loading screen. Adittional notes: i've waited up to 5 minutes, i only tested on launch pad 1, did a complete reinstall because i thought it had to do with mods, build the craft in several new saves from scratch, audio still plays ofter it freezes, cant tab back in the game, windows doesnt detec't it as not responding.2 Included Attachments: ksp2Freeze.mp4 NewWorkspace.json .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  7. Reported Version: v0.1.3.2 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win10 | CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 | GPU: 3080 | RAM: 32 Make a vessel out of cubic truss with a cubic truss anchor, launch vessel, while vessel is moving warp... kaboom, hard crash. Happens usually after first load from VAB, occasionally from revert to launch. Always causes strange re-arrange after loading from VAB, but the crash seems to be in unique circumstances (more parts and moving) Included Attachments: KSP2KerbalTetrisProgram.mp4
  8. Reported Version: v0.1.4.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx | GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics | RAM: 20GB This bug has been stopping me from simply loading a save, I have tried over a dozen other "solutions" and none had worked. since I bought the game in February, this bug has stopped me from playing the game entirely. I seriously need help with this to find a long lasting solution or for the devs to add more optimisations for devices more like mine. I try to load a save and it always manages to get to "setting universe state" before the game just closes, the unity crash handler doesn't even pop up and show an error the app just closes. This doesn't generate crash reports for some reason so i can never see the root of the problem, once again any help from the community would be appreciated, there are lots of others other than myself that experience this that would benefit from any help with getting the game running.
  9. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: i9 9900K | GPU: 3070ti | RAM: 32GB Main Issue: KSP2 will throw a PlayerPrefsException error when the game's registry Key/Entries is filled up with too much information, At that point KSP2 will never again complete the initial load into the main menu. Whats Happening: KSP2 is adding information every time a SOI change happens or if a save file has been loaded. It all appears to be similar information repeated again and again. Screenshot of Spam: Timeline: 24 February 2023: 0.1.0.0 to 0.1.2.0 KSP2 started fine. 22 July 2023: 0.1.3.0 the PlayerPrefsException started happening but I wasn't sure what the cause was. I fixed it by creating a new local account on my computer. 23 September 2023: It happened again with the new local account. Important Information: It only took two months to get to this point this last time. Once others start playing KSP2 more regularly it will only be a matter of time until others have the same problem. Workaround: Delete using regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Intercept Games\ Be warned though, deleting the wrong thing can stop applications from working, or even break the entire operating system. Files: The following is the registry entries for 0.1.0.0 until when 0.1.3.0 stopped the game from loading into the main menu (322mb): (Changed from reg file to text file) KSP2RegistryEntries.txt Log file created yesterday: Ksp2.log Unity Links: PlayerPrefs Information: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerPrefs.html PlayerPrefsException error: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerPrefsException.html
  10. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 | GPU: RTX 2060 | RAM: 40GB I've recently been encountering a semi-consistent game crash whereas the game will crash upon reaching the "Applying legacy module data to vessel parts" part of the loading process after reverting to either launch or the VAB Upon checking my logs, I've noticed that it's being continually spammed with errors like the two below. [ERR 11:09:19.591] Screen position out of view frustum (screen pos 0.000000, 1080.000000, 0.500000) (Camera rect 0 0 1920 1080) [ERR 11:09:19.591] Screen position out of view frustum (screen pos 1920.000000, 1080.000000, 0.500000) (Camera rect 0 0 1920 1080) It should be noted that I am using the -popupwindow boot option in steam with a windowed video setting to get around the game's borderless video setting not being properly implemented yet, as I have two monitors, although I am unsure if that is playing any part in this (It's the only thing I can think of since this seems to have something to do with the window display). 11. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 Pro | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER | RAM: 64GB --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anth12 Edit: Steps to Replication: Launch Colonizationrocket.json Video Evidence: https://youtu.be/sXXXv5u3Hpw (52 Seconds) Note: Fails to visually show that it launched After launching even though stuck in the VAB there's sounds of the craft blowing up on the launch pad (which isn't visible) Half the craft is missing in the VAB Going to the KSC screen it remains in the VAB Going to the Tracking Station it also remains in the VAB Additional Information: I have no idea how this happened Recommended Action: Add a condition that if a strut is connected to itself to delete on launch. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chose UI & UX because that is what stood out the most, but I suspect it might also be related to construction and/or parts/vessels. Included the file in hopes it holds the key to recreate what I am experiencing, which has occurred every time I have tried to launch this vehicle. After hitting the green launch button from VAB: Load screen will appear briefly, however instead of showing the launch pad, the screen shows A frozen image of the upper half of the rocket in the VAB. The green launch button will also hold the same function as if in the VAB, but space bar will activate launch sequence. I presume the lower half of the vehicle does actually load on the launch pad(maybe the whole rocket). Lower elements of the UI shows icons for tracking station, VAB, and training center appear, however clicking on them won't change the screen display mentioned above. I was able to launch, but it was not straight forward process(If I remember correctly, one iteration I was able to switch to the tracking station and pilot the ship). Hitting space "out of the gate" produces sounds that remind me of other bugs where parts of the ship will disassemble, and the FPS tanks FPS drops to between 11 and 1 Save File: Colonizationrocket.json

  13. Reported Version: v0.1.3.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx | GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics | RAM: 20GB upon getting to the setting universe state part of loading a save or the creating vessel part the game unexpectedly closes and crashes to desktop. this is accompanied with a save being labelled as vessel unavailable. it even happens when I'm creating a new campaign. i have attempted fixes such as updating my graphics drivers and running as administrator but it still fails to work. because of this i have not been able to play the game at all since i bought it.
  14. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Interl(R) Core_TM) i5-9400F 2.9GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti | RAM: 16 GB I had reported a bug here I was able to get a work around, or the game decided to work. So I picked a random planet to go to, Dres (Idk why either, I didn't even have enough delta v) After I undocked the lander, I noticed the engine was not aligned, I knew this should not of been the case, so I reloaded and sure enough it was aligned properly. So I went back to the save in Dres orbit and, the video I provided happened. I thought this was the end, but no. While typing this bug report, I decided I would go to the V.A.B to make my lander to show how it was. And the game has now broken down. Almost every part is just a pink sphere or cylinder. Honestly I cannot understand what happened and why. I tried to attached the videos below as well as the save file. I tried to save the game in the current state I showed here, but I was not able to save Included Attachments: 2023-09-0413-15-39.mkv autosave_2.json
  15. EDIT: Discovered that two framework/toolkit mods were installed. Uninstalling them resolved the issue. --- Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 (22H2) | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB | RAM: Corsair DDR4-3200 2x16 GB On first load, the loading screen freezes at the step "Loading localizations from Addressables". 16. Reported Version: v0.1.3.2 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win10 | CPU: i7-10700K | GPU: RTX2060 | RAM: 32GB I'm aware such reports exist but this will let me attach files so there it is. What i've done was land a rescue craft on the Mun, pick the stranded Kerbal (on the way the ship of course flipped as soon as it got into physics range). Managed to get it up, took off. Tried to make a maneuver only to see that I have no trajectory lines in map view. Quicksaved, tried to quickload, it never loaded. Stuck on Creating a vessel. Game log and affected save file attached. Included Attachments: Desktop.zip
  17. Reported Version: v0.1.3 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 22H2 build 22621.1848 | CPU: i7-9700K not OC | GPU: RTX 2060 6GB | RAM: DDR4, 32GB@3200MHz Specs: None of the components are overclocked - i7-9700K, RTX 2060 (6GB), 32GB of DDR4 @3200MHz, KSP2 installed on an M.2 SSD Severity: Very high - renders PC unusable Frequency: Every time since Patch 3 came out Description: I have now experienced 2 system wide freezes while building a little airplane (craft file attached). I can't really gather any information about them, but the last logs will be attached. While it was frozen, I tried to: Unplug and replug HDMI cable (thought it was a GPU issue at first) Restart my monitor The command Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to reset the GPU driver, but it did nothing Randomly typing on the keyboard, Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Maj+Esc to get task manager, nothing worked After all these didn't work, I was forced to force shutdown my PC by turning the PSU off, as it had become useless in its current state. I retried in the afternoon and with the 2nd freeze, I am now too scared to launch KSP2 because all these forced shutdowns are definitely not good. In the attachment, you'll find the Player.log, and the player-prev.log, but the latter doesn't contain info about the last crash. The craft file is also attached but be careful if it's the carrier of the issue make sure not to have a program with crash-sensitive data opened. If you need additional info or logs, I'd be happy to provide them. Included Attachments: SMOLfighters.json Player-prev.log

I wanted to replace the existing SRB, so I created a subassembly made of one SRB and added 6 more in symmetry to that. I then wanted to attach this subassembly to an engine plate attached to the main vehicle in 2x symmetry. Then the game crashed. I tried to reproduce this issue but was not able to do so unfortunately. Included Attachments: BUG127-GameCrash_logs.zip

Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 SUPER | RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3200MHz When i pressed launch, the game got stuck in the VAB screen. I then tried to go into the Tutorial Section wich worked fine. After i started one i got the same VAB screen. I could fly the tutorial vessel but i only saw the Navball as indication, screen was still stuck in VAB. Reloading the save or going to main menu or back didnt work. Reloading the game also didn't help. Included Attachments: GamestuckinVABScreen_logs.zip

Yes OS: 19045.3086 | CPU: 2.90GHz | GPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F | RAM: 8.00GB I was playing KSP and flying a spacecraft and activated a ‘dart’ engine. All of a sudden my craft disintegrated and left one fuel tank on my screen it then began spinning so fast that you couldn’t see it and began to warp space around it like a black hole would. Then multiple colours flashed on the screen. (The images uploaded are not good quality because I was in a panic) Please inform me soon because I am concerned. The appropriate loading screen appeared but without a progress bar and the game appeared unresponsive. After a minute or so the loading screen was replaced with the main menu graphic/animation but without any text/menu items. So I'm going to have to get Steam to shut the game down. P.S. I remembered - as soon as the game froze - that this has happened once before a couple of months ago, under the same circumstances (ie after I became unable to launch a vehicle and then attempting to reload the save). Yes OS: windows 10 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G | GPU: AMD Radeon | RAM: 12gb As it says it when i load into ksp2 and i load try to start a campaign in load and when it says (loading ksp2 missions) it just closes off. I already checked a lot of solutions but nothing works. I play through steam. Now i do have 12gb of ram but only normally use 6 for games and 6 for other processes but even when i closed all programs and used all 12gb for ksp2 it still crashed. This is also built on top of a AMD APU build

Crash only gets worse after reverting to VAB. Also (and not included in the attached video) when I can fly the vehicle using a different structure part (but still including STJ-3125 elsewhere on the vehicle) the vehicle still falls apart after using any decoupler. It has to be a bug within the STJ-3125 code. Included Attachments: bugs.mp4

It gets frozen at the point which it says "Pumping Sim Once" or another phrase.
