As RSS, KSRSS is a mod intended to transform the stock solar system into the real solar system, but at stock size, with the objective to let you explore the solar system without many mods necessary in a RSS save. Also, we worked hard to make every body of the system pretty and unique. For example, with KSRSS, you can find dust storms on Mars, geysers on Enceladus, snow at the pole of the Earth and many other things. New feature in 0.7 : Contract Pack ! A contract pack is now included in KSRSS. They replace the stock exploration contracts. You need Contract Configurator or the contracts won’t appear. A “Probe before kerbal” tech tree is highly recommended. A : Install Sigma Binary. Q: Is this a continuation of SSRSS? A: It’s not. The idea is the same, but SSRSS is a rescale of RSS. KSRSS is a completely independent mod. Q: Are you looking for translators? A: We are! Currently, KSRSS is available in English and in French. The Chinese translation is incomplete, and we are missing the other languages. QuackPack QuackPack is intended to fill out an often neglected portion of the Kerbolar system: the deep inner system, far below the orbit of Moho. Oftentimes, when a player has conquered the stock system, it may feel like the only way to access more challenging destinations is to install full system replacers, or interstellar mods. System expansions such as Outer Planets Mod are a very popular first step, bridging the challenge gap between the stock system and full blown interstellar packs. QuackPack is designed to add an additional level of challenge to a stock + OPM install. Instead of looking outwards towards other stars, it is time to look inwards towards our own. These planets are not for the faint of heart. Transfer requirements are extreme, and their gravity wells are deep. Gravity assists are a near requirement. Failure lurks around every corner, as the unique thermal environments can cause unexpected problems, or outright destroy craft. Aerodynamics will work in unusual ways, as the superheated atmospheres are very different from anything else in the Kerbolar system. However, with smart design, clever planning, and skill, these bodies can be conquered, even fully reusable, or, theoretically, with single stage craft. Bodies Blas, a metal poor, scorching hot desert Superkerbin with a large ring system and one small moonlet. Geet, the lone moon of Blas, and a shepherd to the ring system. Jot, an inflated hot Jool with an extremely large atmosphere. Subon, a captured metallic asteroid in a close retrograde orbit of Jot. Cind, a Kerbin sized tidally locked hellworld, with an atmosphere made of sulfur and boiling metal. Features 5 challenging new bodies to explore. Science and career mode ready, with full biome and experiment definitions. Full scatterer integration. Full EVE integration, with clouds, sandstorms, lightning, aurorae, and thermal glow. Planetshine and Distant Object Enhancement integration. Notes This is my first planet mod, pls be gentle. Delta V map and grid Classic subway style delta v map. Dependencies ModuleManager Kopernicus Community Terrain Texture Pack Bundled Dependencies Niako's Kopernicus Utilities Sigma Heat Shifter Provided Compatibility Scatterer EVE Redux Distant Object Enancement Planetshine Recommended Mods BetterKerbol Outer Planets Mod FAQ Q. Does QuackPack support Parallax 2? A. QuackPack does not currently provide configs for Parallax 2, but it will run alongside Parallax 2 enabled planets from the stock system or other planet mods Q. Will QuackPack ever support Parallax 2? A. QuackPack is intended to support Parallax 2 at some point, when I have the time to sit down and learn it. Q. Does QuackPack support EVE True Volumetrics? A. EVE True Volumetrics support will come in a future update. Q. Does QuackPack support rescaling either natively or via Sigma Dimensions? A. QuackPack does not have native rescale support, but will function with rescales done via Sigma Dimensions. This means you can install QuackPack alongside other 1x scale mods, then rescale the whole thing with Sigma Dimensions, but QuackPack will not function correctly with mods like JNSQ, which have a native scale difference. Outer Kerbin An expansion to the Kerbin system Have you completely explored Kerbin? Have you mined Minmus for your refuel stations? Have you explored every anomaly at the surface of the Mun? But going to Eve or Duna isn't your kind of game? Than "Outer Kerbin" might be what you are looking for! You get to explore more, close to home! Outer Kerbin adds the planet "Phybi" to the Kerbin sphere of Influence. Phybi is in orbit around Kerbin just beyond Minmus and might be tricky to capture on your first few attempts. (SMA 65000000, Inc 12) Orbiting around this planet is the small-sized moon called "Iszmi". Both bodies are vacuum planets and have low-gravity somewhere between the numbers of the Mun and Minmus. Both bodies have a full world biome map, so theres enough for you to explore. Delta-V Calculations Numbers are calculated based on quick runs. No circularization around Phybi. Straight to Surface. So extra dV is adviced! From Lower Kerbin Orbit to Phybi Surface = 2520 m/s From Phybi Surface to Kerbin Re-Entry = 980 m/s Phybi Surface Touch & Return to Kerbin = 3500 m/s Latest Release v1.2 DEPENDENCY Kopernicus COMPATABILITY Outer Kerbin should be compatible with all planetpack that do NOT alter the stock system's planet locations. Please notify me when it's not complatible with another planetpack! Confirmed to work with: Atoren, DwarfPlanetsPlus, KerbolOrigins, OPM, Planet Cyran, The Plod System, The Varuta System , Trans-Keptunian, Moho Moons Mod and Miporia Planet Pack. Welcome to EventHorizon. What this mod is about EventHorizon is a planetpack that adds in a Blackhole-system which is inspired by the movie "Interstellar". I loved Interstellar, the visuals, especially how Gargantua looked like. When @Artyomka15's Kargantua fell into incompatibility, it was sad. So after some time I decided to make my own take on the Gargantua system. Now over a year later, here we are with Murph, a Black hole with a totally appropriate name. 4 Years later, now with Singularity Compatibility! What is featured in this mod. 19 new planetary bodies. 2 new star system 1 Blackhole system Functional wormholes (Thank the Kopernicus developers for that on) Custom science for ever celestial body Custom Planetary Icons(no boring stock dots) A custom lava ocean-texture (not just a red stock ocean) Handmade Blackhole visuals (and a reason to use those fancy high tech high DeltaV engines) Where you can download the mod. https://github.com/GrandProtectorDark/Event-Horizon/releases/tag/1.1 Installation Instructions How to use the Wormholes Some Images Some recommended mods to be used alongside EventHorizon Mod Support - Event Horizon has custom wormhole locations for the following planet packs that replace the Stock-System BeyondHome WhirligigWorld BeforeKerbin AfterKerbin AlternisKerbolRekerjiggered GPP Evolution SLIPPIST-1 - Planet packs that replace the home-system that aren't listed here are supported by placing the Stock system-wormhole in solar orbit -Real Solar System is not supported - Custom Science for the HabitabilityCheck Experiment from EnduranceShip -Antimatter and LqdDeuterium/LqdHe3 can be found in selected regions (When using a mod that needs "CommunityResourcePack") Special thanks to: @Thomas P. not only for Kopernicus itself, but also for adding the ability to make wormholes. @Pkmniako for helping me learn how to make a fancy accretion disk The Kopernicus Discord for being so helpful. Last Updated: 1/16/2023 This is the release thread for Ahum 2. Here you will find all releases of Ahum 2 Planet Pack, but not active development updates. See the development thread for such updates. A journey awaits. Kerbals have fled from their home system. The warping of the Exodus has made Kerbin fly out of its orbit, sending it into a cold dark hellscape. After thousands of years of cryogenic freezing, they awake on a new home. Now, their objective remains the same. Space. Where do I find the link? Here or on the discord server. Will there be any more mods like this? This will get a final addition to the series and a handful of spinoffs in KSP1 and KSP2 to finish the Ahum Main Trilogy and Extended Universe. Will this installment get a KSP2 port? Yes. You can find the Development thread here with all of the new images relating to the ongoing development here: Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1b-OJBJ_XLoQRV2Sgqi4RV_1fnNoKeiCT/view?usp=sharing Parallax Download (may be buggy! report any issues!) Install Instructions 1. Unzip into GameData 2. Go into Extras/EVE/Textures and delete clouds.cfg. This is because the config is incompatible with the current EVE version. Unzip Clouds.zip after deleting the old clouds.cfg, 3. Install this (required): 4. If you want Parallax, go to the Discord and get the link. (the Parallax file is uploaded to MediaFire which is *not* allowed on KSP forums.) 5. Unzip Parallax_StockTextures into GameData. Currently it is bloated with extra files but later I will go back and fix this. 6. Play

I'm working on a mod that will add a new Solar System, and I wanted to tell each planet's story in a fun, humorous way through Science reports. How do I implement custom EVA descriptions instead of using the Stock ones? I can't seem to find any info on it

Hello there. After around 5 or 6 years I am back into Kerbal Space Program. Now after some very short research, and please please correct me if I'm wrong, I only found OPM to be the only main big planet pack for KSP 1.12, still? I wonder if there is any interest in new planet packs since I'm working on something nice right now. My only previous work is Kerbiting System with around 10k+ downloads but I have high goals for this new planet pack and that is all I'm saying right now. Thank you in advance.

This is a mod which adds new minor planets or asteroids to the planet pack "Grannus Expansion Pack" created by Ohiobob. Personally I felt like that there needed to be something new than minor planet expansion which is compatible with a lot of different system replacers to fill in the gaps, but I want to change that and give certain packs more of their own unique worlds than reusing the same pack over and over again. Right now it features 4 unique minor worlds and 1 moon. There is more to follow, this pack isn't finished by any means. Spoilers down below with screenshots. - Cassanite & Saleen - Cronos - Stellate - Halcyon I also recently made a small trailer if you are interested. For those interested playing with it here is a Github Download This Requires Kopernicus and Grannus Expansion Pack by @OhioBob (Note: This works with both Grannus Expansion Pack Primary and Secondary) Special thanks to @Caps Lock for some of the Shapemap assets and @ballisticfox0 for most of their screenshots to showcase this mod better off. I'm trying my hand at making a planet for KSP and have been getting lots of problems. first, here is an image of what I'm talking about when I say the planet surface is loading badly: image, image, image Secondly, when viewing the planet in Scaled Space, the sunlight is lighting the incorrect side of the planet (as you can see in this image) Thirdly, it appears the textures for my planet are not loading in Scaled Space (and look even worse in flight), even though I have them linked in the config. I'll be honest, all my maps are the same texture because I'm super bad at texturing and wanted something quick to just make sure the planet was working (they're all grayscale heightmaps, but I figured that wouldn't be an issue. I'd just have a black-and-white planet). Fourthly, my heightmap isn't effecting my planet's height mesh very much. Is there a way to increase the effect of my heightmap. I'll also include an image of my heightmap (which is also the same as my normal and texture maps) https://imgur.com/b2Zspyp and a copy of my config here in a spoiler bar. I have the Biome classes defined but currently do not have a biome map. My PQS mods are simply copy and pasted from this tutorial My guess is that the issue is in my PQS mods, but I really have no idea what I'm doing with those I'll also add, I am using Wilbur to get the height map, GIMP to edit it, and Visual Studio to config

Greetings fellow kerbonauts! As my first post, i figured i would both announce a planet pack i'm working on, and ask for review/help with some code for planet construction within Kopernicus, (former is a consequence of this post as this is the first i've mentioned this, and the latter being the main focus of this post). So, as the title suggests, if anyone would be willing to help me out with some code i'm working on for my first planet pack, new worlds, it would be incredibly appreciated ^^, as i do not know if i'm on the right track or not in making one of the first Terrestrial planets (Spike), and i also do not fully know how to make height/color maps or textures for these bodies at this moment in time, at least, not to any substantial degree anyways, and to top all that off, there are still a lot of Kopernicus variables i still don't know how to use. regardless, like i said above, if anyone could help me out/guide me through the process i would greatly appreciate it ^^ also, if someone's got a legend or manual somewhere where it describes all of the variables and what they do, that'd be great as well, though it's not necessary as i could probably find them somewhere online. here's the code i got so far: [Spike's Current Config]: @Kopernicus:AFTER[Kopernicus] { body { name = Spike cacheFile = Spike/Cache/Spike.bin Template { name = Kerbin removeAllPQSMods = true removeOcean = true } Properties { description = a dry, lifeless, lonely planet, not much is known about it. radius = 400000 geeASL = 0.5 isHomeWorld = false tidallyLocked = false rotationPeriod = 46800 timewarpAltitudeLimits = 0 6000 7500 15000 50000 100000 300000 ScienceValues { landedDataValue = 7 splashedDataValue = 1 flyingLowDataValue = 1 flyingHighDataValue = 1 inSpaceLowDataValue = 5 inSpaceHighDataValue = 5 recoveryValue = 5.5 flyingAltitudeThreshold = 29000 spaceAltitudeThreshold = 380000 } biomeMap = Spike/PluginData/Spike_biomes.dds Biomes { Biome { name = Midlands value = 1 color = 1,0,0,1 } Biome { name = Pits value = 1.2 color = 0,0,1,1 } Biome { name = Spires value = 2.2 color = 0,1,0,1 } Biome { name = Vast Crater value = 1.2 color = 1,0,1,1 } } } ScaledVersion { type = Vacuum Material { texture = Spike/PluginData/Spike_color.dds normals = Spike/PluginData/Spike_normal.dds } } Orbit { referenceBody = Sun semiMajorAxis = 50000000000 inclination = 2 eccentricity = 0.2 longitudeOfAscendingNode = 0 argumentOfPeriapsis = 0 meanAnomalyAtEpoch = 0 epoch = 7 color = 0.4,0.4,0.4,1.0 } PQS { Mods { VertexHeightMap { map = Spike/PluginData/Spike_height.dds deformity = 3500 scaleDeformityByRadius = false offset = 0 enabled = true order = 8 } VertexHeightNoise { noiseType = RiggedMultifractal deformity = 3300 frequency = 7 persistence = 0.2 lacunarity = 2.5 octaves = 7 mode = low seed = 92745 enabled = true order = 25 } } } } } [end of config] I'm really looking forward to what this pack may become in the future, and i'm excited to start diving into the world of planet modding ^^. I'm still very new to KSP modding and i'd like to start a discussion about planet modding to further supplement my understanding of the required material and to just have a nice discussion about KSP modding in general ^^, i look forward to hearing from you all. Thanks for reading and have a great day! Shadewhisker.

Download The Varuta System (v0.3.0): https://www.spacedock.info/mod/2088/The Varuta System The Varuta System is a mod that adds the planet Varuta and its many moons to the game. Kopernicus is required for this mod to work! What are the planets and moons are included in the varuta system you ask? Well here they are: Varuta: Is one of the larger planets in the kerbol system, located between duna and dres. It is host to many unique and intresting moons, all of which should be explored Theonus: Is the closest and of the more intresting looking moons of Varuta. Its surface is partially similar to Varuta. It also has some extreme terrain, so be careful when trying to land! Niven Olten: Is the second and largest moon of Varuta, at almost 1/3 the size of its planet. Olten might look boring at first, but it has awesome views of Varuta and other moons from the surface. Deaphus: Is one of the smaller moons in the Varuta System. It has regions of blue, which might be filled with Apatite under the surface. Like Theonus, it has extreme terrain. Rebos: The smallest moon of Varuta, it has a relatively smooth surface and is most likely a captured asteroid due to its orbit and surface And Oltimos: Its intresting in the fact that it is a sub-satellite of Olten. It orbits at an inclined orbit around Olten, and has a SOI of only 14km and is only 5km across. If you have any questions about the mod or any problems/glitches you have, ask me below. LICENSE: MIT

Props to: @EricL For assistance with normal maps. @The White Guardian For teaching me how to make planets, gas giants etc. via his YouTube tutorials. @Thomas P. For making Kopernicus and maintaining it's status. And everyone else who shows support for this mod! Anyways... Hello, this is the development forum for my first planet pack called Gene's Star (A not-so-obvious ripoff of Barnard's Star), So included in this pack are: Gene's Star: The star that is the center of the whole pack Vulkan: A gas giant quite close to the star which carries the risk of high heat, you can get quite a bit of science from just a fly-by and has one moon. Hestia: A tiny fiery asteroid not too far from Vulkan. Himos: Despite It's vicinity to Gene's Star, it has a comfortable temperature and it has one moon. Amirani: the small, oblate moon of Himos. Zeus: The largest planet in the pack, it comes third after Himos and doesn't have any moons. Vylo: A giant singular rocky planet that has witnessed some stuff in the past, meaning some good science. Agustin: I would personally call this one of the main planets in the pack, it has four moons with varying terrain and a thin atmosphere. Iturbide: A small desert moon. Martinez: Another desert moon. Barcena: Fair-sized moon, Minmus copy. Yanez: The furthest of the quartet, It has plenty of space to establish a station or colony. Duenus: This has the second-most moons (5 moons) in the pack and decent science scores, has a strange pink atmosphere. Arbyl: The first moon in the system, has decent views of the whole system. Tota: The largest moon in this system, being the same size as The Mun. Ubfer: The farthest of the big three, even better views. DU-10: An asteroid moon that goes close and far out over and over. (hedgehog is intentional) Fchillo: The furthest of all the moons, orbits just in Duenus' SOI. Cylar: The Dwarf planet filling the void between Duenus and Haglade, has two moons and blue ice. Mu: Small-ish moon. Nyth: same as Mu. Haglade: This would also be one of the main planets, with seven moons. Yup, you saw that right. Meaning that this has the most moons out of all of them. Mettaris: a moon within Haglade's Rings. Pele: The first one of the Big Quartet, it is a strangely warm moon, getting up to 43°C, maybe it has something to do with Haglade? Vulo: The second and smallest of the Big Quartet, It has some surface ice. Titania: The largest moon in the whole system, over-sizing Cylar and Himos and about 2/3 the size of Kerbin, has a respectable atmosphere of 24km. Buriz: The last of the Big Quartet, it has the best views of the Big Quartet. Hemi: The asteroid moon orbiting between Buriz and Nusku. Nusku: Same situation as Fchillo, except it's the second largest moon in the whole system. Iceos: The final frontier of the system, it's so uninteresting that isn't worth mentioning (like Alaska). Progress chart: Not working on ATM Developing Almost done Just need to iron out bugs Ready for Release ---------------------------------------- Gene's Star Vulkan Hestia Himos Amirani Zeus Vylo Agustin Iturbide Martinez Barcena Yanez Duenus Arbyl Tota Ubfer DU-10 Fchillo Cylar Mu Nyth Haglade Mettaris Pele Vulo Titania Buriz Hemi Nusku Iceos Bugs: Terrain is known to be glitchy (is known and will be fixed soon enough.) ...

Oh hi there. This is the development forum for my pack I'm making, the Challenge Planet Pack. It includes so far: Nulleff: a super-tylo with no atmosphere and 2.6 gees of gravity. It also orbit 30% farther than Eeloo on a inclined and eccentric orbit. Good luck. Pebbles: a space pebble 3 km wide wide, with surface gravity 50% lower than gilly. Orbits Nulleff in a Polar Orbit, close in. Fun.... Hel: a molten world skimming above the sun with a lot of atmosphere. We're not sure why it's there or how it's atmosphere is staying. The size of dres. Ira: a Small, Young brown dwarf that is very hot. You will not reach the surface. either you will be crushed, melted, or krakened into oblivion. Inclined orbit, so much harder than jool. I might make Nullef it's Moon, and Pebbles another moon of it. Credits: @NickRoss120 Naming Nulleff and Pebbles their Appropriate Names. Hello, I am developing a PlanetPack Named "ProjectAlpha". It will Add planets in the Kerbol system, and add stars outside of the Region. I want to make this mod more of a community mod, with suggestions being a #1 Priority. So, if you have any ideas for planets/moons(Or Even Stars), Let me know, and it might be added and you will be credited when the mod releases! Sincerely, Orbit.
