This is supposed to be a test of the RCS, docking, and long-distance re-entry capabilities of the Venus Command Module. The version of the 2nd stage was slightly different, with yellow baguettes on the sides and no fairing. 2 were launched. One with 3 crew members, and one with 1. We waited for the first one to almost complete an orbit before launching a second, in hopes of a successful rendezvous. That's the part that failed. RCS was amazing, and both re-entries were flawless, unattended, and one landed right next to the KSC. For the next LTV launch, we will need more fuel. Notes Practice Rendezvous Bring more fuel Lander will be named Orpheus, after the guy who went to hell and came back, leaving behind his wife Images Mission-specific Venus module, with double-belled Poodle Engine Stages Bonus image from during landing That's all, stay sigma! -Manny73211; Square One Industries Chairman, Glass Cannon Productions developer, ETG at Innovation Inc, and professional goofy goober

Welcome to my Mission Log! Although i know many people won't read this, or be well interested in it, I still find it enjoyable to write stories about my missions. Even though this is mainly going to be about shuttles, it will have other missions too. Any missions I have done previously unfortunately won't be logged. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key (Obsolete) [Mission Name]-C - Stands for 'Classified'. These missions are separate from the main missions, for example, STS-3-C is not related with STS-3. This naming system has now become OBSOLETE since the new STS lettering system to prevent confusion with missions of similar name. STS Naming System (1979 and above) The new STS naming system, which will be introduced in 1980, will be a revised version of the current naming system. The first number is for the year of operation. (1981 would be STS-31-A). The second number is for the launch site. 1 is for the KSC, which is where most launches will happen, and 2 is for Woomerang. The letter at the end of the launch name stands for the launch of the year. For example, the 3rd launch of the year would be STS-31-C. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Planned Missions Space Shuttle Soyuz / Proton Saturn Program (NOT APOLLO) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll try to do as many missions as possible. Happy reading! PS: The first 3 missions were written during the night, and the last 2 were kind of rushed.. Sorry. I'll put quality over quantity now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission Belt [SP-1] (has no badge)

Launched the station on a Jool V, and sent the first crew up on the new Jool IB. (Why are my solar panels and radiators facing the same way? Tweakable Everything gives you a button to turn off sun tracking!)
