King of the Hill

Looks like the multiverse theorists were true. I do have my own empire.

But seriously, let's go ahead with the thermal infusion shielding. Energy and physical weapons that come within 1 gridmark of the perimeter will not be destroyed, but it's entire matter structure will be changed and used to further power the shield. A primitive, but reliable technology.

Funny enough, people don't need the outer ear to listen as long as their eardrum and the inner organs are still intact. I raise them up against you, who senselessly cuts off their ears and promise better HR management along with employees benefits which includes yearly vacation time, bonus for overtime, health insurance, and specifically covering the cost of attaching their ears or attaching prosthetic ears. They are now my loyal serva- I mean employees.

With an invigorated workforce, I push forward toward R&D for even better defensive technologies while negotiate with owners of nearby hills for a defensive pact while forming a trade pact with owners of further away hills and worlds/multiverses. My hill is now the economic powerhouse with hold the highest defensive technology while also being protected by my neighbours and I am able to call reinforcements from my trade partners to help thwarting any invasion attempt.

The civilians rebel against you, and choose a representative to talk to me using sign language. I am reinstated.

Installing the Iron Wall system. Aerial targets will be shot down without proper permission. Ground targets will be obliterated without proper permission.

All I can say: Good luck.

Edit: You ninja...

I march at you with a good old-fashioned infantry, supported by several mechanized brigades, air force and a direct support from orbital spaceships. Since you ran out of ICBMs in the process of winning the hill, you have no way to stop the onslaught. Losses are large on both sides, but the % losses of me are about 1%, while yours are 100%.

Best engineers of the earth then construct an enormous bunker 1 km underground, that can accommodate the entire garrison and is proofed against every known or imaginary weapon.

My hill and everything that lies below it.

Recently developed the technology for Autonomous Interstellar Ballistic Missile, since, ya know. Someone ruined everything...

But I shall reinstate the Thermal Infusion Defense Perimeter, with a few modifications.

Now researching and developing: SSAA [self-Scanning Analysis Adaptation] Quick specs: Analyse unfamiliar data and adapt current technology to compensate defenses and offenses for maximum effectiveness.

(Reported terminals withing the previous 18 hours: 2. Cause: Direct contact with the perimeter.

SSAA development 92% complete. Predicted 1 hour, 56 minutes until completion.)

Thank you. What's your recommendation from here? (SSAA development shall be completed shortly. Afterwards, initiate research on Bio-Neural similarities and links.

Begin development on related technologies once finished)

Not bad, not bad at all. However, we are still a little behind on research of artificial life. If we ramp up now, we'll have to cut behind on production of power and food.

Is there a compromise we can reach? (...Very well. Assign a crew of 3 to further nutritional productivity, and a crew of 2 to the geothermal harvesters. Sufficient?)

Very. Thank you. I'll get back to work right away.

(Be wary for approaching intruders) Oh, we'll be fine. Nothing makes it past that barrier.

(Reported terminals within the previous 11 hours: 88. Cause: Attempted diversion among the Iron Wall defenses.

Project SSAA has been completed for 10 hours, 57 minutes. Assigning all personnel to Project ABI2...)

Great. Though, you did mention a diversion? It isn't uncommon that people outside know that the Iron Wall cannot be fooled. Those missiles will destroy anyone within 1.5 gridmarks if the command is given. Can you give a bit more explanation?

(A mass of land war-vehicles and soldiers approached the boundaries of the Iron Wall. Their defenses were insufficient to withstand a volley of our autonomous missiles, but somehow they made it to within 1.22 gridmarks before termination)

Could they be getting smarter? Learning our defenses? If less than a day was needed to figure out how to elude the missiles, they could know a way past it completely by tomorrow... Then the barrier...

(The barrier is impenetrable. All matter is decompiled into its' basic atomic structure, upon which those that can be used to fuel our energy supply are routed to the regulator. Those of which can not be used are rejected)

What if an object didn't have mass? Like... negative matter? (It would be impossible to compile enough together in order to pass through) What about Project N? It was an area of research we had long ago. We were learning ways to manipulate space in order to capture negative matter. If someone picked up on that research, what would it do?

(...The result would be the output of negative energy into our systems, causing it to meet with positive energy, and cancelling it out. Our shield would be brought down, and the Iron Wall would be all we have left)

We need to take steps to make sure that doesn't happen. Scan the surrounding region, 10 kilometers, for signs of negative matter. Report any signals of excessive amounts to me when I return.

Let's just hope that they never figure it out...

I go back in time and kill george lucas, causing you to have no AT. meanwhile I become a footbal player and forget ksp, wich causes me to NOT kill george lucas, letting you have the atat, and it creates a paradox.
