Monty Python Laughs

Recommended Posts

Ok, I just found some Monty Python lovers, so I thought:

What are some favorite laughs from them as far as lines go?

essentially one player will provide a line and the next player has to name the flim from which it was from and then give another line for the next player to answer and so on!

I'll start:

"Help! Help! I'm being repressed!"

Forgive me if this isn't too clear...first time posting a thread here in this section of the forums

"This is an ex-parrot!"

Don't remember the name of the sketch, but this is the one where a guy is trying to convince another guy that his obviously dead parrot is alive. It's in Monty Python's Flying Circus, and it's probably just called the Dead Parrot Sketch or something.

Hmmmm... I'll go easy on y'all.

Holy Grail.

Today we are going to learn how to defend oneself if the attacker is weilding a ....

not sure if that was in a movie so anyone have any

Albatross!!!

Oh, dangit, I know that one...

Oh yeah! It was "And now for something completely Different" !

"I wanted to be...A LUMBERJACK!!! Jumping from tree to tree..."

The only problem with this game is that everybody catches the Holy Grail references, but very few catch any references from other work.

Let's try this:

Somebody posts a MP line, and then the next poster posts the correct response to it.

For example: "I didn't expect a sort of Spanish Inquisition..."

"NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

I'll lead off.

...Costume Designer: Hazel Pethig. Look at the opening credits, I'm absolutely correct. :)

(I know about the Moose [dang, can't get a line through the o's] getting initials carved on it with the sharpened end of a toothbrush, but hey, non-sequiturs are great comedy!)

And now for something completely different.

"When somebody lunges at you with a passionfruit, you --"

Oh, that's one of my favourites. "Oh, feeling all high and mighty, want to learn to protect yourself against pointed sticks, eh?"

Nobodys posted one from this sketch, so it's kinda obligatory at this point...

"If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies!"

From the FusTek Station Parts changelog:

R0.02a

- All models now use compressed TGA textures, due to a Unity bug that causes PNG images to load very slowly
- Those responsible for painting all the modules have been sacked

R0.03a

- Reverted to using PNG textures, which reduces texture file sizes and memory usage (according to some users)
- Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked

R0.03.3a

- Corrected typo in CFGs from breakintTorque to breakingTorque
- All parts have been reviewed by our Quality Assurance (QA) department at great expense and at the last minute

It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex- parrot!

An argument is a series of statements to establish a proposition. It isn't just saying 'no it isn't'.

"Well, i'm afraid we don't get much call for it around here, sir." "What do you mean!? It's the single most popular (blank) in the world!" (blank would give away the sketch)
