Need some studying music

I am looking for some electronic ambient music with no vocal to help with my study, and youtube has been kind of annoying with my search:

Seriously, youtube? 2 out of 6? The 8 Hour study mix is awesome, but I have been listening to it a bit too much. Looking for some new stuff.

So anyone got recommendation?

Aha! I have a ton of music for you as I run my own channel/stream and have been searching for good non-vocal music in all genres. Here's a personal favorite album by Jahzzar on free music archive. If you like piano/more ambient, listen to his album "Viikinsaari". He has just about every genre of reasonable music I can think of. When I'm studying I listen to "Brian Crain Radio" on Pandora. All solo piano music so I'm not sure if you'd prefer that though.

I'll put up a few options for you here.

Firstly, XIRA has the right idea; Stellardrone is brilliant, especially the 3 most recent albums released (Light Years, Echoes, and A Moment of Stillness). You can find everything available on Bandcamp, and iTunes also has Light Years and Echoes available, should you wish to purchase them that way.

A Moment of Stillness -- Twilight:

Light Years -- Light Years (the album was named for the song, it would seem):

I can't fault Stellardrone in any way except for the first three albums all sounding quite simplistic and indistinct from each other, but they're good nevertheless.

I also highly, highly, highly recommend the deluxe edition of the Interstellar OST . Just an example:

Interstellar -- Where we're going:

I suggest the OSTs from some games, too; the Mass Effect 1-3 and Halo OSTs are all very good ones.

Halo 3 -- Greatest Journey:

Mass Effect 3 -- Leaving Earth:

There are many, many others out there, so get looking and you'll find some brilliant stuff :)

Before I had to retire, this was my favorite programming music...

I don't know why, but this sort of modern didgeridoo music would pull my brain into a highly productive space.

Try the Marathon Music Remade site. You can use the player there or download the freely available music. And the musician is a planetary geologist. Not pure ambient or droning music, but this music never had and still has no vocals. If you know this music, it means you were a Bungie fan before anyone ever heard of Halo. :)

While I do not know this music, I was a fan of Bungie way back when they made a game called Oni. It was such a great game..

Anyway, thanks everyone for the suggestions, I got a lot of things to listen to now. Keep them coming though!

When you look up "non (space) vocal" it treats them as separate, with no relation to each other. Instead it looks for videos with vocal in them. Maybe combining the words?

Anyhow, try the Black Mesa(game) Soundtrack. It has some good ambience as well as some action.

Yes, Oni was a really good game. By the way, you can play the Marathon series on any modern computer. Get it and the open source engine here. You may have heard of the Myth series also. Here is a sample of what the music was like:

Enjoy your studies!

Try using Google search operators.

For example: space music -Vocal

The - tells Google search to eliminate all search results that contain the word vocal.

I was trying to look specifically music without vocal rather than not having the word vocal in the name though. "Instrumental" doesn't seem to work well in the case of electronic music either.

Electronica and drone are other possible search words. Of course there are early forms of electronic, such as:

'Forbidden Planet'

Not sure about 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', since it seems to be a hybrid of instrumental and electronic.

In my opinion, only if you haven't seen the film. :P

That is probably the most terrifying score I have ever heard. Heaven forbid I ever fall asleep listening to that.
