I can't find the link but I think they posted a pic before. They where made from ant engines. And linked? Not sure, a strut?

This is really cool.

Couldn't you just cover above the two 'jockey'? wheels. Would it still come off? Or does it need to be covered from the side?

Try adding a second wheel next to the two already there. Set away from the first two so it sandwiches the tread between them.

Awesome! I would imagine this method could be refined and work even better. Gotta start somewhere.

I'm really terrible at building moving contraptions in KSP, so this is really impressive to me.

I got frustrated with mine a long time ago. KSP physics need an upgrade. The colliders too.
