So we have an Endurance mod, but no Gargantua. We have mountains, but they aren't waves as high as the cloudsarrow-10x10.png. We have an ice planet (Eeloo, Vall is a moon) but no idiot to blow an airlock and make an intense scene. We have deserts, but no Wolf Edmunds. So, how will we get these things? Me, Dr. Kaboom (I'm not hijacking any ships and blowing out airlocks, unlike my colleague Dr. Mann) of course.

So how will I do it? Space Engine (yes, I'm that guy), Kopernicus, and Kittopia Tech. Now, I'm sure a guy's alreadyarrow-10x10.png workin' on it, but he hasn't done a thing! Me, a kid with billions of years of free time, will get this thing out as soon as my procrastination side lets up, and I'm not going shortsarrow-10x10.png shopping.

Features Planned

Gargantua (No Neutron Star planned)

Miller's Planet

Mann's Planet

Edmund's Planet

Don't believe me just watch!

Updatearrow-10x10.png 1: Foundarrow-10x10.png a perfect Miller's Planet! All oceans, no ice caps! Working on the config now! I don't know if you can export black hole textures, as I found one, and I'm sure you can, but I'm still

not sure. Experiment time!

Update 2: For those still checkingarrow-10x10.png this, Space Engine is messing around with me. I can't find an ice planet that matches Dr. Mann's planet perfectly. Also, it's glitching a little. Don't worry, I'm not giving up. I have found 3 Edmund candidates. I have a perfect Miller's Planet, as stated last update. I expect this to get a alpha release in the next few weeks after 1.0. Maybe sooner. I'll see what happens ;D.

Update 3: I'm working on the Gargantua config as of now. I will lose a few hours of time, but I expect to finish Gargantua tomorrow, and move on to Miller. You guys want it, so I'm working as fast as possible. I'm not giving up at all. Thanks for all your wonderful support. I promise this will get released.

Update 4: Forgot to save the Gargantua config last night. This is a small setback. I'm also taking a break for a few days, I plan to resume on Friday or Saturday. Don't worry, Just a small hiccup. I'm still keeping my promise.

Update 5: I found the Gargantua config deep into my computer, so no lost progress! I'm waiting to work on this until 1.0 releases. I'm not stopping everything, as I still need to find a Mann's Planet, so I'm not giving up. The reason for me waiting is bugs. If I release this thing when 1.0 still has the major bugs, It might break too, and I'm not taking any chances. THIS. WILL. GET. A. RELEASE. SOON. Don't worry!

Edmunds should be easy, but Mann will be hard (Ice clouds) and I'm not sure you can make the giant mountain-waves on Miller. Gargantua would be the hardest.

Mann will most likely not have clouds, and Gargantua should be pretty easy, just a big black object with loads of gravity. Miller won't have the waves, I'm sure of that, but if editing from somebody makes tall waves that would be outstanding.

I'm talking about the gravitational lensing and the ring itself.

Lensing, no. Accretion Disk is a huge maybe. Got to get the black hole and everything else to work, then I plan to get the rings.

A wave plugin could be made for KSP, which would actually be a cool plugin for any KSP game (WOOO!!!! LAYTHE BOATS!!!!!)!

Challenge Accepted!

Mann has no surface. Only clouds and everything that took place on Mann's planets was on the clouds. So what you can do is make the atmosphere height low and just make a surface with no clouds :P

Are there any plans to make things accurate? As in the schwarzschild radius and such?

And I assume that was me who was mentioned in the OP? :sticktongue:

Not a fan of all of his KittopiaTech stuff, but if you need help I can lend a hand here and there. Paused the old one due to a lack of dev in starsystems and no time (Grade 11 is a pain!).

Edit: Also those links are useless. Is there a purpose for them or is it an error on my end?

LOL it does the link thing by itself. Sorry if I was rude mentioning you. I'd love help, but I'll manage. I don't think there is a schwarzschild radius thing available. I'm trying my best to be as accurate as possible, as there's not a lot of information on the 4 bodies in Interstellar. Thanks for the offer. I'll be off to finish Gargantua.

If you just punch in your values into the gif.latex?%5Cinline%20%5Cfrac%7B2GM%7D%7Bc%5E%7B2%7D%7D equation (more info is on my mathematical equations page - link in sig) you'll get the radius needed. IIRC Gargantua is 100M sol masses, so you can go to the wiki page and get the Sun's mass and multiply it by 100 million and then substitute everything in. I'm out, and good luck!
