Mun Arch

I spotted it by accident while scouting for a Mun Base site. I\'m establishing the base just a few hundred m from the arch now, I call it the very original Project ARCHBASE!

Considering my first BACE lander broke into three (it was three pieces big in the first place) on an unaimed landing, I don\'t think that\'s practical. Kerbal, but not practical. ::)

Please remove the coordinates from the original post ? These things must remain a bit of a challenge and posting the locations shoulda the fun.

How about just ignore the numbers? Someone that is out for the challenge of finding these on their own is not forced to put these numbers in if they see them in a forum post.

Yeah but it takes away most of the achievement to know that everyone has got there before by using the coordinates that were published in the forums.

We managed to have a topic of over 20 pages on the Munoliths with everyone keeping the secret of their location. That was a lot of fun, and those who managed to locate them had a shared sense of achievement.

Just found it by accident. Already planning a mun aerobatics display involving it ;P. Is there only one or are there others, like on kerbol or minmus

Two Mun arches have been discovered. The only anomaly on Minmus is the Minmolith.

I also found one Mun Arch by accident. I did a horizontal take-off with my munar rover and as I was climbing for the apoapsis, I spotted it on the ground. I immediately launched more missions to explore it.

I was unaware (although it\'s not a real surprise either) that there are special things on Minmus as well. Exploration awaits!

Gratz on your discovery.

There are many more things to discover. One of them is looking at the age of the thread your replying to, this thread has been dead for well over a year.

Just found this by accident! I was trying to land on the rim of the giant crater on the near side of the Mun and just happened to see it. Landed and then moved over to it to plant my flag.

Yeah. I accidently found that one too. Sent my rover over to it that I had on my ship (which was the point of my sending the rover in the first place).. When the flags came out. I then sent my colony start there and planted the Flag near the very top. Bugger likes turning. =.= Also called the arc Walt Disney and it will be a place of fun where Kerbals can play.

Congratulations on finding the arch. There are several more little things like that stashed around the solar system, so keep looking. :) And sorry about the grumps who scold newbies for posting in old threads. For some reason that's treated like a crime on this forum, but please ignore the grouches. Most of us are pretty nice.
