Constellation Mission Packs Discussion Thread!

Am I allowed to join in? I had an abandoned Constellation project that I ditched 3 months ago, and I's feeling like doing a remake.

Hi, I think anyone can join as long as they are making a stock constellation mission.

Question- MRS, how did you mount the Vernors on the outside of the fairing?

I built the fairings, the added a bunch of cubic struts, then the LFO RCS block.

Hmm, I would change the bright blue border-circle and the font...

Shift Kerbin to the center, and the mun and Duna behind and both in the sides, emphasis on kerbin would be splendid

So you can have multiple versions of this, if you put Duna on the center, it can be the logo bearer for a duna mission, same goes with the mun...

Well, first of all, the blue border like previous, although yours is less brighter and it blends in a tad more I recommend you add another border layer, except a darker shade of blue and thinner perhaps

The red stripes might do better if they didn't abruptly end, and maybe a little more smoother but if the rough bumbpy texture is part of your design, then its green light in sense

Minimalist on planets, hmm. The planets would be better off having a smoother texture on the sides, and you could basically accomplish their designs by just using various sizes of circle brushes Minimalist as it is, you can try scale up the planets to fill in the dead space of black in between, maybe center the planet triad a bit, or you could add a space background in the black

Now the problem is the dead space that the red stripes create .. . not sure how to approach that.

The text has room for being enlarged. You can experiment with other fonts and see what else can suite you

I originally wanted to call it "Project Kolonation- Duna" after my original plans for the original Kolonation Duna mission architecture (Based on the constellation one, of course) but since this is a replica and not "Based off", I'll stick with Constellation. The SPR is mostly done, too.

Hello all! As of a first entry in this post i'd like to share a few of my projects.

I've always looked at the Constellation Program as one of the most ambitious developments of the space career, but sadly it didn't came to good. Today I have for you a few remainings of that idea which I'm excited to share, such as the Orion Space Capsule, the LER (lunar electric rover) and of course the Ares I launcher. Those who remember me may also recall my first iteration of the capsule called "Project Orion" (which dates from over a year). As of now, the new Orion capsule and the Space Exploration Vehicle platform (aka LER) are ready and fully functional. Not as well though, is the Ares I rocket, which still suffers from minor things such as stabilty and other sort of clipping problems related to the Orion which causes the capsule to not start the main engine. So, I won't bore you anymore, here are some (rushed) pics :

I would prefer to see them with the look of stock parts, but they look great man.

Quite nice My suggestion is to just eliminate the excess space in the triangles, by scaling it down a bit

It doesn't circularize I don't think so my aim will have to be spot on. I will aerobrake at interplanetary speed.

OOOH! Is that the Hab lander? I spy seperatrons. Do they blast off the panels to release the hab module? Also, cool that you have the SPR at 90 degrees to the lander, but how are you going to get it out?

It can rove itself out, and yes the seps blast off the panels to release DAVE (Duna Ascent Vehicle).
