"Eve: Order Zero" -- a KSP Graphic Novel (POSTLUDE COMPLETE...bet you didn't see THAT coming.)

Recommended Posts

So I decided to order everyone's guesses by distance, show the distance range each person's guess covers, and how much total area said guesses covered. I made an excel program to do the calculations necessary, and will post the results here.

Also, "Range of guess" is essentially the range, in distance, covered by the guess.

This should be accurate to the moment at least, and can easily be updated to include new guesses.

I also feel a bit bad for Starwhip here. Cornered on the bottom by Parkaboy and on the top by Araym, Kuzzter is pretty much going to have to land at 4.7 km for Starwhip to be able to win this.

I think that Kuzzter will land up to 2200 km of Bill :D

(Disclaimer: The perimeter ( not diameter, for heavens sake ) of Eve is slightly smaller that 4400 km )

Did my brain had a sunday break ? Really diameter is not perimeter ...

Umm... no. The diameter of Eve is 1400km, according to the wiki. Your guess is essentially impossible.

Also, I won't be including guesses between 2 numbers in my chart (Except Angel-125's, but the 10km does seem like a guess there), mostly because I don't think they were intended by the competition.

*yaaawn*

Finally posting here again! I missed this place. The thing is, I can't play KSP anymore because of RAM stuff. I'm waiting for 1.1, for now I'm obsessed with From The Depths. But I'll try out 1.0.5 with a new KSP, surely :D!

And I must say, your story is sooooo epic! I have seen badassery and tomfoolery, but never such awesomeness like this! I like the M7, I guess I'll partly copy your design for my Eve lander now, as I've copied your design for my Mun science harvester thingy that crash-landed at 80 m/s multiple times, with Bob being nearly made to jam! And yes, he had concerns about that lander. Oh well, the magic of landing gears …

For the M7 landing, my guess is 15.1 kilometers. You're a good pilot, but precise landing is difficult!

Also, it should be possible to launch a ham sandwich from Gilly into solar orbit using two sepratrons. Just saying.

"Hey enzin! Hey enzin! Would you tell me the time? How much longer will it be till we cross that Kerbin SOI? At engine stop would you tell that kaptin to turn on SAS? Or better still, just EVA cause I wanna look around.]

Hey enzin! Hey enzin! What time did you say? How much longer will it be till I can see the Munshine? When we hit Minmus will you tell that kaptin to turn off the hibe units? And ask everybody that ain't in hibe to stand right up and yell.

Hey enzin! Hey enzin! We're going into kerbol light. This old ship is moving fast, and I have to strain my eyes. But ask that kaptin if he will chilldown LOX please. Cause I see Kerbin floating there and I feel that Kerbol heat.

Hey enzin! Hey enzin! Please get my bags for me. I need nobody to tell me now that we're in LKO. Go tell that kaptin to make that lonesome engine roar, we're not so far from home so take it easy on the throttle.

Hey enzin! Hey enzin! Please open up the airlock. When the parachutes collapse I'm gonna get off first, cause I can't wait no more. Tell that kaptin I said thanks a lot, and I didn't mind the recycled air. I'm gonna set my feet on Kerbin soil and breathe that Kerbin air."

Excellent song!

Not only does Kuzzter create wonderful entertainment and riveting storytelling, he also inspires creativity in others.

Happy landings!

Sorry guys I was climbing a mountain yesterday. Have to get those peaks in while the weather is still good! Also Kranefly/M7 combo with the lander filled has a TWR pf 0.03, so positioning the ship for landing is taking a very long time...also lots of LF, I will probably have to send Kranefly back to Gilly for another load.

Good for you, I'm envious.

The 'while the weather is still good' reasoning also applies to fence-building, so that's where most of my weekend went.

Fortunately, today is Thanksgiving up here in the Great White North, so I can relax a bit today and get some KSP playtime.

Happy landings!
